Jim @ Elite Moving Solutions moved my parents twice, once from Woodland Hills to Simi Valley where he packed and unpacked their entire house for thousands $$$ less the other quotes we had with the most professional service we ever had. The 2nd move was from Simi Valley to Sacramemto where my folks moved in with me. They was so fast that I was almost unprepared for them showing up. This is the best moving company we ever used and we used a few where we had some issues we never had with Elite. Moving Solutions. We are a client for life.

CANNOT RECOMMEND! I needed to move to a new location less than 3 miles away. Things seem to start out well with the assessment by the owner himself who said he had over 30 years experience as a moving company. I had to move out of a 2-bedroom unit and had a lot of items to box. It was estimated as a 10-hr (or less) job and I was given an accurate guess on needed boxes. I thought the estimate was high compared with other tenants who had recently moved out ahead of me (6-7 hrs). I contracted a 4-man moving team and was assured that at least one person was very familiar with the new building location and would see to an efficient move. Knowing the building is what made me decide to contract their services as I was moving into a complex with elevators. I contacted the owner the day before and was assured that everything was on track and that he would be reachable if I needed him. I decided to drastically reduce the move footprint for paid movers by having 250-300 boxes moved over to the new location two days before the move. 10 friends helped and 3 trips and 5 hours later, that was done. I now had just the furniture, a few wardrobe boxes, and a less than 10 misc boxes to move. I fully expected that my move would be done in 5-6 hours. As soon as the move began, Elite Moving started to renege on important parts of the deal. He said needed furniture would be shrink wrapped. They tried to charge me for shrink wrapping ($29/roll) needed furniture! That was never discussed and all other moving companies include that as part of their service. I immediately contacted the owner and he said he would eliminate that charge. I got 4 day labors (who said they don't work with Elite on a regular basis and, in actuality, take on available jobs with other moving companies)... these movers didn't even know each other. The promised worker that knew my target building was no where to be found (nor did the owner inform me this would be happening or make any alternate arrangements for another mover familiar with the new building to be present). The mover taking the lead turned out to be obnoxious and criticized the owner for "lying to customers" about the estimates he gave. He said the owner always states less hours than it will turn out to be. I even provided lunch for the movers. The lead mover kept saying the job would take 10 hrs which I said was ridiculous since all the boxes were gone. I called the owner to complain about the fact that the movers were not working together and all gone for minutes at a time. The owner said that one mover should be operating the elevator at all times, which was not the case. He said that he would call the lead mover a talk him through what to do and call me back. Ridiculous! 30 minutes later, no change. I called the owner again and he said the mover was not answering his cell and wanted me to have him call in. I said I did not contract for inexperienced movers who are drastically slowing down the move and did not have a blank check to offer him. I stated that I expected the owner to work with me on the final cost as a result and he said he would and would talk with the movers. I went to go find him and the mover said he left his phone in the truck. That was the last time that I spoke with the owner. He did not pick up any calls after that or return my call. The final result was that I was charged (unbelievably) for 11 hours of service! I tried to reach the owner and he did not pick up. There was nothing I could do in that moment. My friend had this company scheduled for their move the next week and immediately cancelled after we informed him of the rip-off we experienced. They had as much furniture as us and moved to the same building. They used a different moving service who moved over their furniture and numerous boxes within 7 hours! I have never felt so taken advantage of! Anytime I know of friends/family that need a moving company, I will make sure to warn them about avoiding this horrible company!
