Don't buy cigars here. Owner changed the prices on me at the register. They also claim to have Cubans, they're fake. Try to sell 3 to me for $125. The cigars he showed me can really get someone sick. I guess if your in the mood to negotiate prices on dusty hard to find products, shop here. Hopefully the label and price are legit.

Just want to say I see the $13.94 charge on my debit card for $11 lottery ticket purchase. Was told only accept cash for lottery but would make exception this time. So I was already feeling grateful for the gesture and didn't ask for receipt. Well others have had similar reviews here about charges. I won't be back.

Great store with a big selection of beer, wine and liquor. I went to 4 stores including BevMo before finding what I was looking for here.

Went here to buy a bottle of wine instead of a large chain store. First about 15 percent more (expected) but when I got home Tried to open the bottle, the cork was bad (came out in mushy pieces) and the wine was bad (vinegar). Obviously stored wrong. $30 gone. I won't be back. Be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beeninhere a few times to support small biz. Went in today to look at wine and cigars. Tried to sell me a bottle of wine for 69.00 when I know I can get it at BevMo for 45. I picked up a six pack of Anita beer and when I opened a bottle it foamed for 10 minutes like it was shook. To my surprise the expiration date was 2016!!

They had a wide variety of high-quality wines. One of my favorite features of the wine shop was the ability to try the wine before buying it. Staves will assist you in selecting the best wine for your needs. This wine shop is fantastic!

I went in here to buy some cigarettes while I waited for my wife. She showed up 5 minutes later, and we went back in to check out the liquor, we were maybe gonna buy some. When we saw his insanely high prices we decided to go nextdoor to Winco which is way cheaper. On my way out Moses accuses me of stealing. Hey dude why would I buy cigarettes then come right back in and steal? By the way buddy I was a regular customer and you insulted me. How dare you accuse me of shoplifting after all the money ive spent there on cigarettes! I will buy them elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Rude owner and he overcharges (double Wincos prices) for even the cheapest liquors.

Yesterday, Saturday Dec.19, 2020, I when to theWine Cellar at 4744 Telephone Rd. Ventura. I asked the fellow behind the counter if he had Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey. He said yes, turned around and walked 2 or 3 steps and pulled a bottle off the shelf behind him.He said it was a good whiskey and suggested I buy two bottles. I asked him how much and he said $39.00 per bottle. I told him I had just seen the whiskey advertised at $25 per bottle. He responded “ well you know the Internet. I put 2 twenty dollar bills on the counter and then realized that I was being massively over charged and took my 2 $20 bills up, said never mind and left. This morning I purchased two bottles of the Sexton Single Malt Whiskey for $26 each.I won’t ever shop at the Wine Castle again. I’m not sure why he clerk attempted to over charge me and I won’t speculate but I’ve my suspicions as I am a black man and the clerk was a middle aged white man.

Prices were way too high on every bottle of whiskey I asked about. Owner really needs to spend some time reviewing msrp and correcting the price mistakes on his bottles.

I was recently in this store to pick up a nice German Riesling for Thanksgiving family dinner. I was going to go to BevMo for the convenience, but decided to patronize a local independent liquor store. German Rieslings have lost their popularity in recent years with wine drinkers going to Chardonays. Not my style. I was pleasantly surprised on how this store was well stocked, clean, had a helpful staff. I went with a Wente Monterey Rielsling because i always enjoyed their German 'whites'. I did tell the counter clerk that their internet entries for this store's address were way off. (In fact 6 yrs, OFF) And that service needed to be updated, because the only reason I found the store was that I accidentally needed to buy at the Dollar Store that was next door and I found them by chance. The selection was epic and the prices were more competitive ( 15% less) with BevMo. And Wine Castle's staff was very very helpful. I will be back.

Great place to hang out on a weekend afternoon. The variety of wines was great. They had different kinds of wine to choose from. The staff was indeed knowledgeable and expert about the wines. The place was really great to have some glass of wine. I will surely visit this winery again. It was such a great place.
