Did their job... until they didn't...Purchased a used car. Great deal! It was really easy and everyone was so kind. The sales price was perfect and the car was everything I had hoped for.Had a great test drive, waited a little bit for them to finish cleaning and detailing the car before I left the lot.Did their job! Was ready to give a 5 star review... and then...I had issues with Subaru because the paperwork I needed to send them to get some of the features of my used car to work wasn't in my pile of paperwork from the sale.Called. Left message. No reply.Called Business office. Left Message. No reply.Called sales guy, got a different guy who left a message for him. No reply.Called one last time. Left message. No reply.Hate to call it "turn and burn" but pretty obvious that this is how they view things with their lack of attention to follow up post sale. (If it's not automated- don't expect them to go above and beyond.)Pretty disappointed how it ended, but if you don't need support, you'll probably have a fine experience.

They sold me a lemon, customer service leaves more to be desired, and they don't give out loaners. Will never come back to them or to any VW. VW Customer Care of America took back my car under California's Lemon Law.

I ordered a 2021ID4 on-line and had it delivered to Ventura VW based on the assurance there would be no markup. At the time of delivery, however, they added @$5,000 "market conditions/value". I had to sit in the finance persons office for three hours to make my case. This is why online only/no dealer have become some popular. Although the ID4 had some bugs, we absolutely love the car. In May, we brought the car in after we were called by a service adviser twice before to reschedule our appointment. Our car had three appointment to have the 3 recalls addressed, and was told we had to leave the car there for two weeks before it could be looked at. WHAT? Since we live 4 miles away I asked that rather than have our car sitting out getting dusty, dirty, etc. I requested they call me 1-2 days ahead of when the service could begin. The service advisor said that wasn't their procedure. (The two previous appointments for this service were rescheduled after phone calls from them saying they were running a bit behind on the recalls). In my one and only previous service for the car, when I asked when the over the air updates (OTA's) would be forthcoming as promised, the service writer said "you're getting them now". I offered to show them the software version on the car, but rather rudely said I was wrong. We subsequently made an appointment in Thousand Oaks, brought it in later that week and had the car back the next day. Service does matter. I cannot recommend Ventura VW for any purchase or service.

Recently received an oil change here and a few days later my cars service light (the wrench light) came on. So, I scheduled to have my vehicle serviced again and asked the guy at the front left desk to run a test on it. He assumed that I needed an oil change, I informed him that I just had my oil changed the week prior and he assumed the light just needed to be reset. Unfortunately, the service light came back on and now my check engine light is on. If the vehicle would've been probably checked like I needed when I scheduled and requested it in the first place I would not be having current car issues. And hopefully not getting it serviced at the time didn't make it worse.Customer service: 1/5 - Unconcerned and dismissiveService: 2/5 - all Volkswagen dealerships I've been to wash the cars and this location does not provide thisEnvironment: 3/5

Called the parts department looking for a front bearing for my Jetta. The man on the phone was being rude and not helpful at all bc I don't know my cars VIN number by heart. After the call I looked on their own website for the part and it offers the bearing $80 less then what he told me it was going to be. Decided to take my business elsewhere. Screw Ventura VW, don't waste your time.

This place is the reason why you should not take your car to the dealership!Only here because it's a lease. A oil change, a simple oil change and it's going on 3 hours! They have a big sign that reads, "Service Xpress".No E, because they make now Effort to give you fast service! And, $130 for this oil change!!Go to Jiffy Lube, fast, friendly, service. Stay away from Ventura Volkswagen for xpress service."Edit to review an hour ago, 4 hours and 30 mins to get a oil change!"

Claudio is the best person to go to in the service dept!! He is incredibly knowledgeable and his customer service skills are phenomenal!! I don't know anything about cars so he definitely makes servicing my car not feel taxing at all. Thank you Claudio!!

After being treated poorly from Neftin Westlake I decided to try Ventura Volkswagen and I am so happy I did!! I want to start off by saying Clayton made the process of buying a new car so nice. I came in with a trade in and was told previously by the Westlake dealership I was upside down too much and that they can't make a deal with me, when I explained what happened with the Clayton he told me that was the last thing to be worried about. Clayton, the finance manger and another gentleman helped work a deal that best fit my financial situation. These guys went above and beyond and I would recommend anyone I know to them!

I am deeply disappointed by the level of incompetence displayed at the Volkswagen Ventura dealership and service department. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story in the hopes that it reaches the top managers of this establishment. My 2009 VW Touareg was towed to Volkswagen Ventura by Bob Carlson Towing after experiencing a problem with the computer communication. Upon diagnosis, I was informed that the issue was due to a faulty ignition switch and that it needed to be replaced. Reluctantly, I agreed to proceed with the repair, but little did I know that this was just the beginning of a series of disappointments. After paying a staggering $400 for the diagnosis, the dealership installed the new ignition switch ($1,300), only to discover that it didn't resolve the problem at all. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they suggested that the steering column needed to be replaced, with an estimated cost of over $2000. They even had the audacity to imply that it might not be worth repairing the car and tried to push me towards buying a new vehicle. As I was not in a position to purchase a new car, I was left in a difficult situation, trying to gather the funds to either repair my current vehicle or buy a replacement. However, to add insult to injury, I received a lien letter stating that if I did not retrieve my car, it would be sold at auction. This coercive tactic showed a complete lack of understanding and empathy towards their customers. I had no choice but to purchase a new car from VW as my toureg was my only form of transportation. Frustrated and disillusioned, I made the decision to pick up my Toureg and have it towed to Concours Motors for a second opinion. Concours Motors conducted a Stage Two test, they determined that the only issue my Touareg had was a simple, yet overlooked, battery problem. They were able to reset the computer without issue. It is appalling to think that Volkswagen Ventura failed to identify such a basic issue, wasting my time, money, and causing unnecessary stress. This entire ordeal has left me questioning the competence and integrity of the Volkswagen Ventura dealership and service department. Not only did they charge me exorbitant fees for a misdiagnosis, but they also failed to communicate effectively, leading to an unnecessary and costly repair quote. It is clear that their priority lies in profit-making rather than customer satisfaction and reliability.I am deeply disappointed that my trust in Volkswagen Ventura has been shattered. Concours Motors, treated me with respect, professionalism, and most importantly, accurate diagnostics. Shame on Volkswagen Ventura for their unprofessional behavior and their failure to provide reliable service.I hope that the top managers of Volkswagen Ventura take note of this review and take appropriate actions to rectify the issues within their service department. Customers should be able to trust their chosen dealership to provide competent and honest service. Unfortunately, my experience with Volkswagen Ventura has been a cautionary tale, and I cannot recommend their services to anyone in good conscience. Please take this review seriously and address the problems within your organization. Was it Fraud? Maybe? The reputation and trust of your dealership are at stake.

Terrible Service. I've been an owner of several VW's over the last 30 years and the Ventura service department is the worst I've ever experienced. The front staff in service was not friendly and one employee was using curse words in front of me while chatting with his work buddy. Very unprofessional. Also, they take forever even for just an oil change and they ALWAYS try and up sell you something on your car & charge you almost twice the price for it. I don't even trust that what they say is even necessary. Then when my car is finally done, they don't even bring the car around for me to find it. They let me wander aimlessly in the parking lot looking for my white jetta when there are about 6 of them out there to choose from. My former VW service center used to bring my car around, hand me the keys and even wash the car for me! Now that was amazing! This place makes me go running in begging someone to tell me where my car is so I can leave. Whoever is managing this place sucks. They are running a crappy business with the VW name on it. Will not be back.

Don't take your car here if you have time constraints; they're very slow to do even the simplest repairs. Their shuttle driver has a lunch break from 12-1. Plan to spend 3 hours for the most minor repair; have a contingency car or go there and bring something to do like a 3000 piece puzzle. They won't tell you ahead of time how much repairs will cost and then shock you with a large bill; last time they were nice enough to discount the bill because of my visible shock. They're nice and professional otherwise. They no longer wash cars like in the past. They will drop you off and pick you up to get your car.

Repeated issues with this dealer, there is no solution other than to take my business permenantly elsewhere despite the fact I have tried to give them chance after chance. If I could give zero stars, I would. Error #1 March 2015 I take my brand new Passat back the day after delivery because there was an electrical short. They did give me a loaner but after a week my car was not even diagnosed. I call and say I want my brand new car back when can you get to it? They say they are busy and they will get to it when they get to it. I call VW Headquarters and explained that I just got a new car and the dealer service is awful. The customer service rep said- let me ask you one question to you like the car? I said I love the car which is why I bought it. She told me she would look into it, surprise my car was fixed the next day. Since then my Passat has been serviced and maintained by a different dealer 30 miles away and they are awesome! Error #2 July 2021 I purchased a 2021 ID4 First Edition from Ventura VW. Unfortunately, I did not have a choice on the delivery dealer but I thought ok let me give them another chance. The delivery of the new car went fine, the salesman was excellent- no issues. When it was time for the fist service I called and made an appointment with a live person in the service department. I called the day before to confirm and showed up the following morning for my appointment. That morning of the appointment I was told the technician that can service the car isn't in that day, I would have to make another appointment. What? Error #3 September 2022 I had a tire blow out on my ID4 and the local tire shop could not get a tire because it was backordered. I called Ventura VW and asked if they had a tire in stock and they said they did. I then asked if they had any service appointments available to install said tire and they said they did not. I said ok thats fine can you hold the tire on will call for me and I will come right over and pick it up. The guy goes "its first come first serve." I go to get the tire immediately and then I'm told "it was ordered for someone else." I explained that this was an emergency as the ID4 has no spare, they refused to help even after speaking with the general manager. At the very least they could have offered to ask the client the tire was ordered for if it could be used for a customer with an emergency. The service and parts department people here are rude, inconsiderate and could not care less about you the customer. Good luck getting an appointment if you need it, and good luck that the appointment will be kept. As I said earlier the sales people are good; however, after service support is important as well. That part is extremely lacking at Ventura VW. There won't be an error #4 I will never bother them again. That is a shame since I live in Ventura.

The people I live dealt with are great.... But I learned today that you can't even hide things in any part of a car cuz their service people dig through your car. I had a THC vape that I admit, I forgot I had put in the center console storage, it was in a black pouch with no markings, under a towel I use to wipe down dust and all the piano black accents. Someone in the service department stole it out of my car. So make sure you don't leave ANYTHING in your VW when you take it here. Expensive lesson learned. Just take it SB or Netfin.

I left a good review previously but I don't really know what to think now. I'm left with a broken car partially due to ride sharing and because this car is on a loan, I'm unable to sell the car or even parts of the vehicle. Stupid decision buying a new car on my part. People try. People have been kind while being here when I've done my service but honestly I don't know if my services have been performed correctly, but the fact that even expired visa holders are here getting cars under others liability is kind of wild. I know this because of someone I was dating, just trading his cars. I signed at another Volkswagen to help that person fix his car because he got us into a car accident on the PCH. That person is from Columbia or venenzuela, goes to show you the immigration problem we have! Their sales people should just say no if people can't cover loaned vehicles. Very wrong business practices. I'd sell my car back to them, but I can't because they won't buy it back. If you have a loan agreement with them, I'd read your contract and return your car.
