Update: Wow. Since my first review, I have been able to buy a quart of whole milk every day. Thanks for being so responsive Vons! And both of the other items have been stocked. I'm stoked. You guys rock!
It is impossible to get a quart of milk here. Seriously. I visit this store everyday. It's also next to impossible to get even a pint of whole milk or 2% milk. I've waited eight months for this store to finally restock my favorite soup and six months for them to restock my favorite crackers. Welcome to the "SCARY" VONS on the Westside.

Bryan Saturday 3/23 store manager.
I forgot to grab my cash from self check out, so Bryan called out, "Buddy, here's your cash."
I believe good politics are on Bryan side. His ethics proves he's honest. Good man, Bryan has been working at Vons for 20 years.

Please move your automated security post. Move it next to ATM and breezeway where everyone smokes crack.

This is my regular go-to supermarket, the only one on the west side of Ventura. Until today, my experiences have been OK , not great. The perennial complaint is that things are difficult to find. Today, however, about half the sale items were not stocked, the shelves were bare. Very disappointing. If you have a choice, it looks like you can probably do better at Ralph's.

This store claims to be friendly but that is
a false claim. Before checking out here wanted to use the bathroom and asked two employees for the code to unlock the door and they were so very rude. Will not recommend this store and will not be shopping here. Unpleasant store employees. No thanks.

Never enough checkers, always too many homeless. The security guards do nothing but create an illusion that someone cares. The new-ish boss/manager would rather chat with friends than help move the checking line. Why does it take so long for this store to take my money? No wonder everyone steals.

I like this vons but would like it more if there wasn’t so many panhandlers in the parking lot. The O’reillys auto parts store is hiring but the homeless don’t want to hear it. It's getting scarier all the time. Google just asked me if anything has changed and update this post and all I can say is it's getting worse now people are smoking crack in the parking lot and in front of the store. Some woman a couple weeks ago look like a zombie. Another update we call this one scary Vons and I won't even go after dark anymore.

The Vons associates here are helpful and eager to provide an enjoyable experience to customers. It is the only Alberton's company in Ventura that I prefer. I recommend this location to friends, family, and acquaintances.

Every time I'm in this location there are a minimum of 2 dogs that are obviously not service dogs. Today I walked it and this idiot in front of me has a 9lb dog that could never preform any service of any kind to this 6'1 well over 200lb man. When he saw me staring at his dog which also was wearing a sweater another dead give away it's not a service animal at all, he asked me what I was looking at and I responded with I'm wondering why you brought a dog in here. He responded with a fit that ended with let's take it out side. At no point did a manager handle the issue and this is not the first time I've witnessed a big issue with an over entitled dog owner throwing a fit or I actually witnessed a dog fight in the middle of a busy Sunday because multiple people were allowed to just bring in random mutts they called service dogs be were obviously not service dogs because an actual service animal is trained to not interact with others at all. Please care just a little, a grocery store is a walk in kitchen/refrigerator. 100% your employees must carry food handlers cards and I know for sure a dog in a kitchen/refrigerator is not acceptable. Do your jobs managers stop fearing people that are absolutely wrong. It's a 5k fine in California for fake service dogs. Use your brains.

This is a smaller Vons, but they had everything I needed. Quick checkout lines, too.
