“Visiting Ventura to see longtime friends and what could be a more perfect day than thrifting. This store was our first choice due to Great selection, cleanliness and the abundant courtesy and friendliness of clerk Jackie. She made me laugh, her humor was infectious and next time I'm back in the area I will be back at SPARC for more goodies and a dose of Jackie's irrepressible humor. Thank you Jackie!”

“I’ve been going to boys & girls club thrift for years and it’s a pretty good thrift store. I happened to be there 30 minutes before closing this time around because I had just eaten at Johnnys next door and I was surprised at how rude some of the employees were. I heard the 15 minute warning about closing but then 10 minutes before closing they were shouting that it was closing time and a guy employee shouted “I’m ready to get out of here” Then specifically a blonde woman was saying we were the last couple that were allowed to be checked out because another woman was still looking around. Thankfully the woman got in line BEFORE closing time and before I left I wanted to make sure the clerk still checked her out which she did because technically they shouldn’t have been closed yet. The clerk is very nice. I’ve seen her multiple times going to this thrift store. The blonde woman had disappeared at that moment but if she was there I was concerned she would’ve told the woman she couldn’t check out that’s why I stuck around ? but who knows. It could’ve been all talk as well.

I get it. I’ve done serving and retail and it’s exhausting. It’s closing and you’re ready to leave. But in the end, it’s your job. There’s a better way to go about it than shouting and being rude to customers.

Still recommend checking this thrift store out just maybe avoid staying towards their closing hour unless you feel like being drilled or they have a change in attitude. They usually have a good selection of clothes and furniture and are good about keeping it organized and as clean as a thrift store can be.”

“This store has high quality antique pieces. My friend got a Spanish guitar in great condition and I got a vintage silver ring and bracelet from the owner’s beautiful vintage collection. Friendly family owned business- highly recommend!”

“I love the new location. The previous location was too big with so much stuff it would take hours to look through. This one is quaint and very organized. Good prices too! I will be donating here from now on.”

“Well-organized, clean and the prices are incredible with sales every day. Clothes in ready to wear condition, even a small section of clothes for kiddos. Now and again we get a special donation that we mark for quick sale. They currently have a boatload of white sheets, never used and perfect for event planners.

The staff is friendly, helpful and fun. One of my favorites!”

“I wanted to check out Main Street since they had closed a lot of the street to traffic. It's really nice to walk there without all the cars and traffic. I was looking for some nice and unique tops. Since I retired about a year ago, I have purchased very few items of clothing. I am really concerned about the impact of the fashion industry on the environment and climate change. So I thought that it would be better to give some clothing a second chance rather than buying brand new ones. The women's clothing was arranged by color and the store was pretty neat and clean. I spent some time going through the racks and most of the women's clothing was gently used or new. I found about five tops that I really liked and they ranged in price from $1.75 to $7. One top was even brand new with the tags still on! Most of the tops fit very well but others were a little big and I'm going to take them in with my sewing machine. I may even change the tops a little bit. I am trying to get back into sewing but I just haven't been able to start making any clothes for myself. However, the most wonderful thing happened after I got these tops: I could see how to change or modify them and I started sewing. It was a miracle! The cashier was very friendly and even complemented the blouse I was wearing. I did notice on the way out they had a chalk board with their special pricing by color. I can't wait to go back!”

“Kind of cool to see a Goodwill here. I was hoping to find a deal here but with all thrifting, it’s hit or miss some days

PRO:
- Really big store
- Some really upscale things here when I visited
- Great organization of clothing
- Excellently stocked

CON:
- On the busy side
- A bit pricey
- Not a ton of parking

SUMMARY:
This is a cool Goodwill it’s some hip stuff, indicative of the area I suppose. But a nice change from your run of the mill Goodwill stores, worth a visit”

“Can be hit or miss at this location as far as having good items, and also with the staff. I've had a range from a really awesome experience here with super helpful employees, and then had some not-so-helpful but not rude experiences as well. Just more quiet/ introvert type employees who weren't really helpful when I asked for assistance (like I had 10+ items in my hands that I planned to buy, but couldn't carry them anymore as I wanted to keep shopping, and the person at the counter was annoyed I wanted to have them held. I've also had an employee not put my items in the right place/ or indicate they are being held and all my things I planned to buy were put back while I was trying on other items in the fitting room. Such a drag! ?‍♀️) I live out of the area but come through here every few weeks and this location has decent enough buyers that I routinely make it a point to stop here. I've gone bananas and found $500+ of worthwhile items, and then sometimes don't find a single thing. I completely understand that that is the nature of this kind of store, however, and it's always fun to look.”

“This place is amazing. You can find anything here. What's good to me is that they don't put out a bunch of broken items. There's a great selection of all types of clothing and the employees are always pleasant & helpful.”

“Thrift shop with an amazing selection of thrift clothing items as well as antiques/miscellaneous non-clothing items. Thought prices were a little too steep for some clothing items like a torn up Harley Davidson going for almost $40.00.”
