Came here because of a flyer that was mailed to my house.... apparently a long time ago because the prices are higher for the meals now. Standard with inflation now, so not criticizing them or knocking a star. I got the gyro supreme and it was delicious. The pita was not great, but it did not stop me from eating it all. Healthy serving size. Register lady was nice enough to still honor the old coupon.I meandered around the store and found them to have a nice large liquor section. Also garbanzo beans by the pound.Staff was all nice, store was well kept and stocked, food was great, there was a sports bar attached, and they have their own (small) parking lot. Fantastic all around. I'll be coming back to support this lovely business

There’ve been several times I’ve bought a food item here and opened it when I got home and it’s moldy inside. When I go to check dates on food items here they’re often expired/really old. Some of the times food has been moldy they’re not even out of date, so I don’t trust their food storage practices or that they check the dates on things. I don’t trust the food here.

Love the deli! Such great food! Plus the bar area to eat the great food, grab a beer, watch the game. Lots of great options throughout the grocery store from standard fare to Mediterranean options. Some stuff is a little on the expensive side, but having a neighborhood grocery store is so worth it!

Interesting and unusual foods and spices alongside standard stuff.

Very casual but the food is great! Their fries are some of the best in town. Hubby usually orders the burger or Reuben sandwich. Only complaint about the Reuben is there's never enough sauerkraut... I almost always order the gyro wrap or plate. It's soooo good. Service is friendly and excellent. If you are wine drinker, you can pick a bottle of wine from their market to bring into the bar and they charge you a corkage fee, but it's still very reasonable, if you like a little bit higher end wine than what's generally poured in a sports bar! Highly recommend this place!

Food is always fresh and they give you great portions. My husband and I always love coming here. The staff is always so sweet and family-like. We live down the street and love coming here for some gyro lamb plates and beef fattayas!

This place is a grocery, bar, take out and dine in restaurant. White the combination. I can tell you the food is very good if you don't mind the set up. A little confusing of a concept but it works. The food was exceptionally good. The grilled meats were most and flavorful. Portion sizes were bigger than I expected. Good value for all the plate options as they are all served with rice, humus and salad. Price for take out is quite a bit lower than dine in. The price difference was about $5.00 for the works plate. The price difference for the works plate is $5.00 more for dine in vs take out. I don't know what makes the dine in option so much more in this case to justify the price difference.

Confusing sports bar , market Syrian cuisine with inconsistent food . Middle Eastern cuisine not a Ventura strength . Prefer traditional sports bar and upscale pub grub

We visited Santa Cruz Market Bar for the first time because we had the Beer Card. We would have never stopped in here without the beer card because it's hidden inside of a market. The location of the bar is unique. They have a larger selection of beers on tap. I had the Firestone Cali Squeeze Blood Orange beer and it was delicious. We also tried the Mediterranean platter appetizer. The hummus and falafel were good. The pita was a little dry and too thin for me. The ambiance is a causal sports bar and is very simple. I wouldn't go out of my way to return here, but I had no complaints about it.

Don't be thrown by the dining room located in back of this quaint European foods market. Make sure to take time to look at all the different foods products for sale. I found some great Vietnamese egg noodles for cooking at home. The ambiance is like a small sports bar. There are tvs with sports, bar seating, tables and booths. The wait staff is friendly and seems family owned. The menu is simple and includes Mediterranean/ Greek style fare. I've tried the beef kabab, the falafel wrap and the greek salad with a salmon skewer. The food is very well spiced and fresh. The sauces are delicious especially the garlic cream sauce. The prices are fair for the amount of food on the plates. Highly recommend.
