I can't endorse you enough to come to this place! The materials they use in their mattresses for the Churchill and Smith collection is truly amazing. It's one of the finest, if not the finest Natural Safe ingredients used in the mattress industry that is built to last! I was incredibly lucky that I was able to purchase 2 mattresses from them. I know that me and my mom will be having the best sleep we have ever had. Their customer service was refreshing. Spencer was an extremely kind human being, looking out for my best interests, he gave me all the time I needed to decide on a mattress. I was shown the Mineral based steel coils and the Wool. The mattresses are all at an affordable price as well, worth every dollar you spend. If you have any concerns or questions I urge you to call Spencer.

I was in desperate need of a new mattress and my partner told me about this place. I walked in and I was unaware that they were about to close. The space was massive, and I felt very overwhelmed, but the person working there was a real human being, which is lacking in customer service these days. They were great, showed me around a few different specific type of mattresses that I thought that I wanted and they worked with my budget. I ended up, leaving with a firm California king mattress at a great price because it was the last one of the specific type that they were no longer selling. the sales representative was definitely quirky and had a good personality but I can see how boring people could be turned off... Good for me I'm also a weirdo. I had a great experience, and will be buying all of my other mattresses from this place from now on

This is a family-owned business?? Within 1 minute I almost walked out but the showroom was beautiful and has beautiful mattresses. The man was RUDE and ANGRY. Still, I was not deterred, I WANT a new mattress! I am READY to buy! He showed me a few mattresses, but he continued to be very ANGRY and SNARKY too. A new customer walked in and I was fine with letting him assist him. I said I would like to listen in on the Q & A. (no problem). Soon that elderly new customer threw in the towel and we both walked out. 2 sales lost. I feel sorry for this man. Clearly he does not know love. If this is a family business, they need love, lots of love.

Run do not walk away from Spencer's. In an industry that now routinely allows 365 returns with no return fees or minimal ones ($99), Jim at Spencer's will tell you that you can return their mattresses within 7-10 days if you do not like it. In my case however, he somehow failed to mention that Spencer's charges a 20% RETURN FEE. He also did not provide me with an invoice in writing at the time of sale. I had a $1786 mattress of their delivered on Friday 12/9/22. I tried it over the weekend. I did not like it. I called Jim on Monday 12/12/22 to let him know and schedule a pick up. That's when the stalling began. He said he'd "talk to Spencer" and they would call me back. I let him know we will be out of town for the holidays for 3 weeks over winter break so we had this week (5 business days) to schedule the pickup. I wanted to be sensitive to their 7-10 return policy. 27 hours later still no call so I called a second time. Jim said he'd try to connect with Spencer again today. I reminded him that we are leaving town in 3 days. He said he was "with customers" and they'd get back to me. A bad feeling in my gut led me to ask if we were just waiting to schedule the pick up or if there was any refund issue. He said "Spencer will dictate that". I asked, "Dictate what? You told me you do returns in the first 7-10 days." That's when he said, "Well we have a 20% return fee." I said "That's ridiculous, you never mentioned that to me when I asked in the store or I never would have bought your mattress. You led me to believe I could try the mattress first without penalty." He said that the return fee information is on the invoice. Dude, I didn't receive anything in writing until the delivery guys gave it to me on Friday. How can I know about a policy like that ahead of time if I am not informed until after the fact. I am not psychic. Good luck getting a dime out of me at this point. I have disputed the full amount of the mattress with my credit card company and I am pretty sure they are on my side. Hopefully all's well that ends well, your pick up guys never come and I can donate this mattress to someone that really needs it...it is the holidays after all. For everyone reading this, you've been warned...which is more than Spencer's will do for you.***UPDATE later on 12/13: Jim called me back. Said he talked to "Spencer"...They could now come pick the mattress up for a $99 pick up charge. I started to say, nope, you have to be upfront with your customers at the time of sale. It's not okay to add fees after the fact. He condescendingly said, "Let me refresh your memory. The word you used when you asked wasn't refund, it was exchange..." I interrupted him and said, "No, the word I used when I asked you about this was RETURNS. What is your return policy?..." He started to yell so I simply said, listen, I have already disputed this with my credit card company and I am pretty sure they are on my side. You can come pick it up if you want it or I can donate it. He ranted about being fair and said "donate it" and hung up. All Spencer's needs to do is be upfront. They can have whatever policies they want but they need to be honest, up front, and in writing BEFORE customers buy their stuff. Period. Everything else is just noise.

Spencer's is AMAZING and he's an absolute great guy to work with, along with his team. We had him custom make an organic cotton mattress for our boat and could NOT be happier. The mattress is gorgeous and a lot less expensive than I expected. It fits like a glove and we are thrilled. Thanks so much Spencer and your team are top notch!

Highly recommend this place! We purchased a king bed after sleeping on their mattresses at Waypoint Ventura. It was the first time my husband and I actually slept through the night without pain (and we have a sleep number). Their quality is above standard and their customer service is better than anything else! The owner is personable and super helpful. Definitely a customer for life!

My wife and I had been to two mattress stores, and bought one, which we had to return. When we walked into Spencer's, we immediately knew we were in the right place. Friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable, no-pressure salesperson - plus it's so cool that they make their own product right there, and the materials are top-notch, high-quality organic. My wife and I both have finicky backs, and we're both totally satisfied with what we got. The choices are great, from soft to firm. I recommend Spencer's unconditionally.

Spencer and his 17 year associate Jim are super kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about my most comfortable and restful sleep. The fact that I was able to get a hand made, local, amazing quality mattress comparable to others that cost waaaay more for near same quality...is what I call both professionalism and great value.

This great company has our business for life! I'll never purchase a mattress online after finding Spencer's. Pay for the quality, so worth it, and on top of that, you get amazing customer service that can't be beat. I can tell this family co. cares. Spending so much of our lives in bed, don't you want the best? I do. The thought of repeatedly inhaling questionable stuff/off-gassing from a mattress made overseas, I just...can't. No. Organic ingredients in my mattress is now really important to me - thank you, Spencer's. I can absolutely tell a difference, and I'm finally sleeping well since purchasing from SMW. Awesome showroom too - much variety and really comfortable in there. Keep it up! We'll be back, plus telling friends. High five!
