Life savors! Such a kind and caring staff. I am not a regular patient nor live in the area, and had an incident with my dog ripping one of his nails out while visiting Ventura. McNeil's was recommended to me by a pet store I just so happened to be next to when this happened. Thank goodness they did. They were able to see me right away and did an amazing job working with my not very patient pup. Not only did they take exceptional care of my dog, but they didn't charge me an arm and a leg like most places would've. If you live in the Ventura area I definitely recommend going here for your veterinary needs.

Doctor McNeal is experienced caring and had an all female staff that made me feel very comfortable with taking my dogo Argentino to be spayed they took great care of her I love this group!

Took both my dogs here for years, she had a delightful assistant was nice to people and animals so you overlooked the Vets Doddering an the smells when you walk in... The Vets new workers aren't friendly and don't care for people and I was upset with there attitude when dropping my Smokey off to get teeth cleaned at 8:30 but door not open till 8:45 and i commented on it! They told Vet when she got in I was rude n Vet called didn't ask my side just took her new workers word over mine n didn't let me explain just said I had come get my dog she wouldn't take my $1062. To clean his teeth and I was kind of glad cause 2 years earlier she did it but didn't clean past gum line so wasn't happy. So now I got to great Vet with no attitude and NO SMELL of birds, rabbits, an such to assault your nose so there incompetence n attitude did me a favor.

I totally agree with Melani and Art. This used to be a great vet office, but has deteriorated due to her current staff. They are negligent and don't seem to care at all about it. I brought a situation in regards to this up to Dr. McNeil and it was obvious she stuck up for them. A few months ago brought a cat in to get spayed and they wrote an incorrect date on the spay certificate. Today brought a feral cat in a trap to get neutered and stated I wanted flea treatment applied to him. Dawn asked if I wanted topical flea treatment, and I told her yes... because he's a feral. When someone went to pick the cat up later in the afternoon, they noticed the office failed to do the feral cat ear tip and also didn't apply the topical flea treatment.....instead they received a pill to give him. When I complained about this, I later received a horrible voicemail.... no apology from them. Instead, they stated they also had a bad experience. As stated in other's reviews, if you question them on anything, they get defensive and rude. It's really sad, because this was a wonderful office before the current employees. Dr. McNeil is a wonderful person and a wonderful vet.

She's very good. I love her. And apparently so does everyone else. With that said, she is very busy and booked week's and some times a month out. That would be my only issue.

Pet owner for 55 years and this is the best veterinarian I have ever had care for my dogs. From the minute you walk in you feel like you've gone back in time. Think Aunt Bees living room and Dr. Doolittle is in the room visiting you and the friendly staff. My dogs feel at home and the Dr. Has the best cheese snacks and spends time really examining my pups. Reasonable prices with exceptional care.

This is a wonderful Vet Hospital. I had an emergency situation. I managed to get an appointment and the care I received from the staff and Doctor was amazing! So much I am switching from my old Vet to this one. (Nothing wrong with my old Vet) This is closer and it is truly a great team of people here. I cannot give them a higher rating or I would.I cannot say enough about this facility. Thank you so much for your help and the welcoming you gave me!

My 18 year old cat was dying. All other vets wanted 250 to 450 to help him over the rainbow. I called on Monday. He was at peace finally. The vet and staff were so nice. Cost less in 75.00. Thank you
