Been going there for years now and she's a great stylist, colorist, & Japanese Hair Straightening expert. I've had so many different hair styles but I woukd say, from experience, this is the best place for Japanese Hair Straightening. The price is the most competitive and she's very intricate in her process. Rosie is my gal at Maximilian Hair Artistry!

Rosie is incredible! She did an amazing job with Liscio hair straightening. It's an intensive process that requires certification and very few people are qualified and talented enough to do it. Rosie is extremely knowledgeable about hair and I felt completely at ease having her straighten my hair. Rosie is the very best!

Rosie was recommended to me by my bff, Nina. Through the years I have seen Nina do some brave changes in color with her hair and every single time it has looked AMAZING! I finally gave Rosie a try and my goodness am I glad I did!! I finally tried different colors on my hair and they look rich and beautiful and the best part is that my hair has remained healthy and strong throughout. Rosie was so sweet and nice I felt so comfortable with her from the start. She got me in with no appointment and about 45 minutes after my inquiry. Also she told me it was $85 to get a partial highlight. And $20 extra for medium hair length blowout. I was like this is a steal. Although I was a little skeptical at first when I first asked her if she thinks she could do my hair a cool blonde. I have gotten my hair done a significant amount of times so it was already pretty lifted. She told me over text that she THINKS she can , and it depends and she is going to take a look at it. Now I understand that some hair is difficult to lift than other hair but that message didn't give me confidence to want to go in there because i've never heard that before. She also gas been in the hair business for a significant amount of years so I thought she probably would have figured out how to do blonde hair by now.. I'm sitting in the chair chatting it up with her noticing she's really nice and friendly. She proceeded to ask me how long my hair normally sits with foils in it like I was supposed to know? And she is talking about how blondes are all trial and error. I was starting to get nervous. We go rinse and start blow drying I feel great. Color looks amazing and very cool toned like I wanted it. Except the hair on top turns out purple, my hair on top is literally purple and she asked me if I wanted to just leave it and it will come out after a couple washes. I told her no I don't want purple hair and she was understanding and fixed it. After this, the purple came out (for the most part) there was still a teensy bit on top that she failed to mention the 2nd time. But I ignored it because I respect her time. But minus the purple I loved the color a lot after wash and the blowout looked amazing. We get to the end and somehow the total comes out to be $145. Now with the blowout the price should have only been $115. I don't know what else I was charged for and I didn't ask I just went with it because I felt bad. She should have said something about it? Why there was $30 extra? Im not sure.. but overall walking out of here I felt great and very beautiful but there were just a few feelings that I have never felt before in the salon. I've never felt nervous and no hair stylist has ever made me feel that way. Overall my hair looks good and I'm happy it was just a different experience.

I feel good about my hair! Rosie is skilled and compassionate. It is a great experience to learn from someone with such expertise in the field. I now have a better understanding of my hair type and how to care for it. The results have exceeded my expectations. Last year, I was looking for help with the results of my "quarantine hair" experiments. I had been cutting and coloring my hair at home. Before coming here, I was embarrassed to go to a salon again. I thought a stylist would criticize the state of my hair, and my fears were unfounded. Rosie was kind and understanding! She did an amazing job cleaning up my hair style. I am pleased with my experience each time. I am happy to support a local Ventura business. Maximillian Hair Artistry is a gem.

If you are expecting real artistry this is not the salon to choose. For a dye or dye over gray variation she'll suffice. If you want full color weave with color variations you will be disappointed. She will use a low lifting solution to allow her time to get through the whole head without over processing the front (start point) basically lazy because it can be rinsed when lifting color is reached however that takes attention to detail and work. So her 80's method is to leave the client brassy orange hair, hole in your pocket, regret and worst having to listen to her say that it's normal and just let me dig in your pocket again for purple shampoo. Occasional use of blue shampoo is one thing but as a remedy for lazy technique. No. Her open schedule after all these years should have been a warning sign but I saw a young girl I know and here hair looked pretty good BUT she didn't have a full weave and later she said she has to use blue shampoo too and she's a natural blonde. Perhaps she's capable of good work she just didn't want to put in the work on the day of my appointment. Excuses that everyone's biology is different etc is insulting, blame the client because your work is far less than excellent. She has a pleasant demeanor but never steps up and offers to make it right. With at least two salons on every block in the city I suggest close your eyes and throw a dart at a map your odds of finding someone better are nearly 100%. Nothing personal strictly my experience. I had balayage on the bottom third when I went in, even a third of that was great compared to halloween blonde.

Rosie saved my evening!!!My hair extensions got super massy after I went to a swimming pool. And I had a meeting that evening that I could not cancel.She helped style my hair and cover up this terrible disaster I had on my head. I love my hair!! I had a lot of different dyes in my hair and she was able to fix it and make it way better than I could've imagined. Really really recommend you get your hair done here, Rosie is the best!!
