Never would I have imagined being completely ripped of after all I've been a loyal customer of MASTERCRAFT MOTORS // BOB CARLSONS.... but let me tell you what I've gone thru and you be the judge. Chris was running Mastercraft Motors @ the time My 04 Suburban had a ticking lifter Chris told me he could fix $3,000 + bill and the lifter still ticked but, Chris had told me if I were to get a new motor, there would be a adjustment, how sorry he was and if I needed anything just to pick up the phone and he would be there ! Once I put together the monies for this project Chris no longer was the manager of Mastercraft motors he was now dispatching for Bob Carlsons My Mechanic Joe was let go over a $80,000 issue that had accumulated over one years time ! I was in disbelief but, what would end up happening to me it's clear there are absolutely zero morals left within the walls of these sister shops, I was charged $6,000 for the new motor no adjustment was made and the new manger Will well let's just say that the piss poor excuses as well as the lack of respect is the foulest thing I've ever experienced! I made a appointment for the repairs and was told 3-4 days dropping off my 04 6 December 2021 it was almost 30 days in fact it was 30 days Will had my 04 Suburban YES 30 days as he had one excuse after another telling me that they don't do the very work he ordered parts for wrote me a bill of sale for and set a appointment for ( you see I live in my suburban & have two dogs ) so it's not like I wanted a rush job but I wanted the job to get done for that month it cost me over $3,000 in motel rooms b n I work graveyard and have no place to stay while my 04 was going thru this ! Chris knew Will knew but it still took 30 days when I got the truck back I had it for two days their was this vibrating noise coming from under about @ the drivers seat that worried me as well as the oil pressure was over the top & the check engine light was on again as well as a coolant leak in one of the hoses. I was worried to drive & I had emailed Will to explain what I was experiencing he wanted me to bring it in right away but I didn't have any money for repairs of course he didn't say bring it in here anyway and let me fix the car for you things I've charged you so much money and I've had your car for over 30 days no it waited another week if I can bring it in and pay for the repairs there was two things that I asked him to do replace the oil sensor and find out what the vibration was underneath the car I got the car back a few hours later a few hundred dollars later and of course the vibration noise was still going on so I took it to a different shop in town and within minutes they figured out what the problem was and that cost me $400 the problem is I can't get in will again take Splaine to him what was going on and he lied to me and told me that they took the motor out from the heads not from the manifold as at the manifold the flange has bolts one of the bolts was stripped and stuck at a angle making this vibration The shop I took it to found the problem with-in minutes It was a clear result of the work done @ Mastercraft Motors I emailed Will to explain to him what he had not finished in the instillation when this needed to be taken care of No what I got was lied too Will told me they saw this but decided to leave it alone ? If that was not a slap in the face Will told me I was no longer welcome for me to go away !! Yes a business I've been loyal too for 22 years ! Oh yeah Will also told me when I came to pick up the 04 after the 30 days that I never should have been charged the $3,000 ! Yeah but do you think my account was credited ! I had to spend $400 more dollars for this repair that Will told me was when the lift was done rite after he said this I just felt used !! Over $12,000 spent on a half assed motor instillation that took 30 + days to do needing repairs after !! If anyone doubts my words contact me & i will forward you the emails Will sent to me ! This shop had my father-in-law's classic Thunderbird for a year after a fire nearly destroyed it. The insurance company was covering all costs, which amounted to thousands and thousands of dollars. When we took delivery of the vehicle, it was not running properly, despite having a new engine. The lights do not work, the blinkers do not work, the choke doesn't work, it idles rough, the timing is off, the hood was forced closed and required two people to open it and will not close properly. And this was all discovered on delivery. We can only guess what else is wrong with the car. The shop took total advantage of an elderly man and his insurance company, and completely botched the job restoring his beloved car.

Ok, I must say , this is the best help I have ever recieved on the road a s a traveling couple in our rv. And weve had a few rd road hazards along the way over the last 8 years. So we broke down and had to be towed from a place 28 miles south to mastercraft motors so they could acomidate my 34foot rv. The tow truck driver that worked for mastercraft notors was named Spencer, he was the sickest tow truck driver ever. Man , he was able to squeeze my 34 ft fleetwood bounder out the tighteat spot and clean exit that did not seem or look doable. Hats off to spencer. Request him if ya can. Next , was master mechanic Joe , he diagnosed my rv in a matter of minutes and was able to replace the engine part, full distributor, and got us back on the road in no time. Then to top off the whole thing the manager Isaiah, was friendly and able to deal with my stressful momenta and still stay on point. Hats off to this whole crew. We are now 200 miles north on the beach all because of them. Thanks from Billy and milly.

Our car broke down on a Sunday during a long road trip. With no appointment, Mastercraft had our car fixed and washed by noon on Monday. Isaiah's team was fast, fair, and friendly. Highly recommend.

These guys are great! Today, they provided a loaner while my car was in the shop for regular servicing, and when I came back, I also found they had washed my car at no extra cost - a really nice surprise. While I've not yet had to use them for repairs, I'd have absolutely no qualms about entrusting the work to them. Friendly, honest, and excellent communication.

Very professional from start to finish they are amazing people . I took my vehicle there and while I was there to get mechanical repairs I noticed they also are a body shop and the painter does amazing work. One thing also I thought was pretty cool they have a tow company connected to them so if your car breaks down u can call the tow company Bob Carlson Towing who have been around for many years.
