I don't like the box stores, at all. But the Pro Desk staff is really helpful, they know things, and will help you source whatever they can get. They just can't get everything. I think it's the best help you'll get in the store

Would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered a stove online 9/22 with delivery scheduled to Palm Desert 10/3. Lowes canceled the delivery date, moved it to 11/3, then canceled that date and moved it to 11/7. Three days before delivery they called and said they cannot deliver to Palm Desert, I can pick it up myself - in Ventura!! I called Ventura Lowes and was put on hold for 15 minutes, no answer, called back again and was put on hold 6 minutes, no answer. Called back twice again to speak with the manager, no answer. When I finally got thru to an idiot in delivery I asked, why didn't you tell me this on Sept 22 instead of 2 months later???? His answer - we only know 3 days ahead. WHAT??? So I asked, can you coordinate this with the Palm Desert store? thinking I can reorder at the same price (bought on sale) Answer - No. We can't do that. This Lowes is a complete clown show. No one answers the phone. Obviously they couldn't care less if you get your order or not. They will not even try to make it right with another store after they've made multiple errors in delivery and the customer has waited 2 months with multiple delays. I hope this store goes out of business. Buy at Home Depot. Much better selection and much better customer service.

Stopped in with my elderly mother last weekend to purchase a new toilet and parts to install as well as some other items for lawn sprinklers and lighting. Had the pleasure of Shayne assisting us with the toilet and he continued to provide guidance for the rest of items we needed or found us the correct person to ask. Great service :) will look for him next time I'm in.

They always put out Christmas decorations way too early and also one time there was a BIRD inside the store very gross because when I went and told the employee about it he said "there are a lot of birds here n here" Witch seems more gross because then that means that birds could be pooping in the store all the time, and trust me you do NOT want to get pooped on by a bird

made a trip to Lowe's yesterday to get a barbecue for my husband's Father's Day! We had issues with a Weedwhacker as there is no battery because of shortages which I understand! We had an issue with the price of the barbecue because the sign said 229 and the computer kept saying 249, but they got that straightened out! I drove my car around to the front so an employee could come and load it in and it wouldn't fit! My car was long enough, but not wide enough, so I said, if you get me a screwdriver I can take these two screws out and collapse this one side, a utility table, and then it should fit! Mind you, I am 71 years old, but still active. The person that was supposed to help get the barbecue in my vehicle came back and said, you'll have to buy a screwdriver! At that point my husband and I were done so they lost out on that sale. The person trying to help us load the barbecue just left and didn't say anything! I think I'll be going to a different store after this experience! what about the screwdrivers and tools they used to put these barbecues together since they come in a box! I was pretty upset!

do not trust Lowe's for delivery. Me and my family had gotten dry wall delivered for a project we had going , and Lowe's sent the laziest and least hardworking employee I think I have ever seen. He ended up saying he was sending it all back because he didn't feel like doing it, but we refused because we had already payed for all the fees. It is disgusting that my 8 and 10 year old sisters had to carry huge sheets of dry wall up our massive hill with my parents and grandparents. So please take my advice and choose somewhere else other than Lowe's. And too Lowe's, please make sure your sending the right employees or trust me your business will be ruined. It gives you a horrible reputation if you keep letting these lazy employees do a job that should be for hardworking people who actually deserve to make money. Don't buy from Lowe's.

I called Lowe's and was placed on immediate hold, which was not a problem. After holding for nearly 10 minutes, I hung up and called again. I was placed on hold again and waiting for over 11 minutes.I decided to work on something else and give the Lowe's folks some time to catch up.When I called again about 30 minutes later, I was immediately disconnected. This Lowe's is very busy, perhaps they need to hire additional help.

This review is not so much for Lowes (Mills Rd. Ventura) as it is for Jason who was working at the return counter when I went in today.Jason is what every employer wants in their employees: efficient, friendly, courteous, extremely helpful and caring all with a smile on his face. He had to 'go out of his way' to resolve my problem and get did so, on his own, with no hesitation. If I weren't retired, I would have made him an offer to come work for me. It's only a matter of time before someone does. Thank you, Jason.

Even though the wait was long, I gotta hand it to those guys. Got windshield wipers because of all the rain that we've had. Plus more was coming. I wasn't sure how to put them on. So the gentleman who checked my items out for me, offered to put them on.They're VERY cool.

Updating review. Since becoming a new homeowner, I've counted on lowes to be my go-to stop and they never have disappointed. Typical big box home improvement store. Items can be ordered ahead and picked up easily. Staff has always been good to me. I love taking advantage of their clearance deals. And being a rewards member, getting free drinks/snacks is always a plus. That and 5% off using the lowes card. Then gift card rewards on top. Lastly, give them props for easy returns. When I have a project, I always get what I need and things I'm "not sure" I need. Why? Because I know I can always return hassle free. Not sure why so many low reviews. I suspect peeps only reviewing negative experiences.

According to Yelp. my reviews are getting quite popular. Last month my reviews were upvoted by 21 people! Move over, James Patterson! It's obvious why my reviews get so much attention: it's because they are all 100% true. I only report the facts. Unlike some reviewers, I never exaggerate or embellish. I don't even know the meaning of hyperbole. This is one of my most truthful reviews, updated just now to be even truthier than before!Covering just under a quarter million square feet, Lowe's Home Improvement is the most massive of the legendary Five Peaks, the largest stores in Ventura County. Some fun facts about Lowe's:Like nearby WinCo, Lowe's is so large it can be seen from the International Space Station. The ceilings are so high at Lowe's that clouds form inside the building and occasionally in the early afternoons there are light to moderate rain showers. Lowe's is the largest employer in the county. Just over 3,000 people work in the store, and they are particularly adept at avoiding any interaction with customers. They're so unobtrusive they might as well be invisible. You can walk for miles in the aisles of any department in the store and you will very rarely encounter an employee. This is clearly a great place to work! Lowe's takes very good care of its employees. The company always tries to promote from within. Most Lowe's employees were born and raised in the store. The store features a world renowned hospital, as well as its own elementary and high school.Working conditions for employees are exemplary. The employee's break room at is utterly magnificent! It covers nearly 40 acres and has a food court featuring twenty-two restaurants. The employee's gym serves as the training camp for the Dallas Cowboys. Open around the clock, the break room boasts an indoor Olympic size salt water pool. It's heated! This Lowe's store is so large it has its own police and fire departments. When customers aren't around, Lowe's employees speak to each other in their native tongue. Linguists say the Lowe's language is unrelated to any known group of languages. After they turn 65, employees are guaranteed a place in Lowe's senior living community affectionately called "Lowe'siana," located just off the Garden Department. Lowe's employees have an exceptionally long life expectancy. On average, Lowe's employees live until they are 110. Many live to 130.Love me some Lowe's!Mikey C says: Give me a minute to finish this thing and we'll light it.
