I feel bad that the employees at this store have to cope with all the vagrants, panhandlers, and shoplifters. It's the nearest grocery store to the beach where the transient population lives.

Every time I'm in this location there are a minimum of 2 dogs that are obviously not service dogs. Today I walked it and this idiot in front of me has a 9lb dog that could never preform any service of any kind to this 6'1 well over 200lb man. When he saw me staring at his dog which also was wearing a sweater another dead give away it's not a service animal at all, he asked me what I was looking at and I responded with I'm wondering why you brought a dog in here. He responded with a fit that ended with let's take it out side. At no point did a manager handle the issue and this is not the first time I've witnessed a big issue with an over entitled dog owner throwing a fit or I actually witnessed a dog fight in the middle of a busy Sunday because multiple people were allowed to just bring in random mutts they called service dogs be were obviously not service dogs because an actual service animal is trained to not interact with others at all. Please care just a little, a grocery store is a walk in kitchen/refrigerator. 100% your employees must carry food handlers cards and I know for sure a dog in a kitchen/refrigerator is not acceptable. Do your jobs managers stop fearing people that are absolutely wrong. It's a 5k fine in California for fake service dogs. Use your brains.

Tyree in floral made a beautiful floral arrangement for our daughter. She helped us find exactly what we wanted. Thanks so much.

The doors were locked 5 minutes before closing. If you post hours saying you're open till 11, then stay open till 11.

Sandwich Counter/DeliWaited 10 minutes of one of 5 visible employees to acknowledge me. The lady that eventually came over had less knowledge of the menu than I got from my 10 minute read. She didn't understand what bread they had listed with which sandwich, insisting on white bread rolls. Her coworkers ignored all of this. She then went to the back, came back with a bowl of chicken wings, and insisted they had no chicken for sandwiches - while standing behind the deli case full of meat including chicken. Twilight zone. I give up.

Visiting and staying at a hotel close by and had to run to the store to grab a few things for our son. I was harassed a few times by a person, who seemed out of it and high, asking me to purchase a torch or lighter. I kindly declined but he kept coming back. I felt so uneasy and slightly terrified that I didn't end up grabbing everything I needed just so I can hurry and get the heck out of there. I had mentioned it to the store manager and clerk ath checkout who in return stated that I shouldn't feel unsafe. The clerk had escorted me to my car and made sure I got in safely. Shout out to the night store manager and the clerk for walking me to my car. Thank you for providing great customer service! Side note. Price gouging is ridiculous! $70 for travel 7 travel sized items!!

Terrible customer service. One of the employees at self check out in particular was harassing us when we needed help at the check out. She did not believe that we paid for our items and she made snarky comments.

Omar was very helpful when we came in looking for the restroom. The bathroom code wasn't working and he helped us find someone to get it. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. The Starbucks here is very small but quick. Overall, good experience.

The one star is for getting most of my order right. I subtracted four stars for the almost nonexistent customer service and the unavailability of many of the standard grocery items I wanted. I placed a delivery order using the VONS app, accepting that many of the items I wanted were out of stock (e.g. coffee pods and ready-made margaritas). I viewed the receipt in my email box as I waited for the order to arrive, and it was obvious they got the seafood order wrong (because it was 1/3 the price it should have been). Since I was planning to make that for dinner, this was key, so I called the number on the the receipt, waited forever, and when I finally got a live person she was rushed, didn't listen, cut me off, said she was transferring me to Door Dash, and was gone in a flash. I didn't even place the order through Door Dash and she didn't talk to me long enough to find that out. Completely rude.

OK. You put in self check. It's closed in the morning. Why. We don't have a person to watch it. Seriously, you have highest prices in town. You make enough profit to open the self check every minute the store is open.

Do not use the Vons app for any kind of delivery service or pick up. Complete waste of time. I placed an order through app and it was scheduled to be delivered on Sunday 10-06 between 6pm-8pm Groceries never arrived. Called customer service the next day and they informed that I had to reorder items but they had a hold on my credit card for $126. On Monday I reordered items and it was scheduled to be delivered today Monday 12-07 I just received a text that my order has been canceled and yet there's another hold on my credit card I'm never shopping with them again

Frankenstein. Dracula. The Wolfman. The Mummy. Night of the Living Dead. Zombie Apocalypse. Killer Klowns from Outer Space. No, not a horror movie marathon, just a description of what I typically saw around this store long before I entered it. The interior isn't much different. One time a r***** abruptly screamed at the top of his lungs while I was right next to him. The Anti-Service Deli continued the horror movie theme by treating every customer as The Invisible Man. I can go on and on and on.However, if you have severely warped sense of humor, it had its moments. My personal favorite was the last time I was there and saw a shuffling, staggering, zombie-like creature who was backlit against the sun, but when he got closer, I saw somebody made him a white zombie by painting him white; that's what you get for passing out around a bunch of jerks. All kidding aside, parking lots the world over are sources of much drama and trauma and this one is never short on either. I can go on and on and on, which I will...somewhere else! They need to do again what they did almost 40 years ago; level the whole area and start over.

For the sake of a review I have to give it atleast one star .... first of all the customer service is beyond me I work at an establishment down the street and I am a manager there . I know how and what customer service feels like the good kind ... the friendly kind of customer service I seriously dread coming to this Vons I live just 4 blocks away . Seriously I only come if I absolutely have to or I take a drive down to winco which is 15 minutes away from my house this vons has to be the WORST one I have been to .. you will not find not one helpful or friendly associate here let's make that clear . Pam has such a bad attitude I literally had to tell her that the way she spoke to people was absolutely unacceptable and quite frankly RUDE. I'm am completely done with this store . Please Ventura community Please take your business elsewhere
