I walked into the store and all the liquor was behind the counter which consisted of a fairly tall cabinet. Without glasses I could not see well. I stood behind the counter for awhile without being helped by a young man who sat at the front but within visual distance of me. I finally asked for help and requested a type of whiskey. He said "it's all there, look for yourself." I said "oh can I go back there and look" to which he said "no." I said "I can't see well." He shrugged his head and went to sit back down at the register. At this point I considered walking out and saying "I guess you don't care if you sell anything." I only decided to purchase a brand that was close enough to my taste and a label that I could see as I was visiting and had already walked all day. If I hadn't, or had a car, or lived here I would never go back. One shouldn't have to coerce someone to sell your their goods. Compared to liquor stores back east the selection is poor and price seems very high. Also was given no receipt. Either he told me the wrong price or overcharged me 1.50 in addition to what I can see is the California tax on a 750 cc bottle of 80 proof liquor.

Bunch of crooks. Charged my card twice and lied about it. Fuck you and your liquor store.

They charge $1 for debit card purchase without informing customers. By law, you must have a sign posted. Also cigarettes are not displayed and they claim to only sell Marlboros and Natural Spirits. Very lame for a liquor store.

Prices are ridiculously high! Twice what you would pay anywhere else. When 200ml of screwball and a single beer rang up as $30 I walked right out the door, what a joke!

The hours listed for this business as of 3-29-2022 are not accurate. They close at either 9 or 10 pm, depending on how busy they are and how exasperated each clerk is with the tourist trade (which makes up the bulk of their inflated price business, by the way). If you’d like to pay a markup of 25-35% above other stores, and deal with a clerk who disregards you while carrying on a conversation in an angry sounding foreign language, by all means! Unfortunately, as I understand it, most of the ‘neighborhood liquor stores’ here in my hometown are all owned by the same individual/family. Other stores in this local syndicate have much more pleasant service… maybe seek one of those out?
