If I could give zero stars I would. Due to a family emergency and my ability they would not let me out of the contract and now they have turned me into a collection agency. They did not go over the contract in detail.Do NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYMTheir customer service SUCKS!!

This is a horrible gym. I let them know I had to cancel my membership because of a family emergency and I had to leave the state and because I because of my physical limitations I could not continue. They sent me to collections. The owner has not contacted me. DO NOT SIGN UP DO NOT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. BE CAREFUL

Amazing Spot!!! Opened 24/7 I have yet to experience long wait times for machines I'm needing to use, I have been to this fitness center early morning, mid day, during power hour(4-6pm) and evening NEVER HAVE NEEDED TO WAIT FOR MACHINES. very very clean, equipment is updated and very well maintained, staff is professional and friendly, has a one of a kind posing room for competitors, offers coaching, has amazing cardio equipment, deadlifting plat forms, great power racks, tons of great amenities. It's priced accordingly for what they have to offer. I am a fitness junkie through and through, I have been with many big commercial gyms all the way through the smaller mom & pop facilities. BSF is a business bringing in the highest standard In atmosphere, culture, and service. This is by far one of my top gyms I've ever been to if not the top. If you haven't been through and checked out BSF then you haven't even experienced what they have to offer. It is my top place to train in Ventura County! I believe this is a great spot for the new gym goer(looking for real personal training opportunities), normal gym enthusiasts, as well as competitors in power lifters, & bodybuilders. Check them out if you haven't and maybe you'll find the BSF family that I found.

I have been enjoying coming to BSF to work out, it's never crowded so I don't have the fear of being embarrassed, you never have to wait a long time for a machine everyone has been so welcoming. Highly recommend this gym, it's also open 24hrs.

I've been going to BSF for about 6 months. I love that the members there are serious about their fitness but you don't ever feel intimidated. I don't think I've ever had to wait to use a machine. It's also very clean. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. My body has changed a LOT with their help/coaching.

Very shady business that will take advantage of you. If you don't want random charges from different institutions on your credit card statements I HIGHLY recommend not trusting this gym with your card data.Do yourself a favor and make sure to get a copy of your membership when you sign up (they won't give you anything in writing). Owner Josh Cohn swindled me when signing up by saying I could cancel anytime with a month to month but when I tried to cancel it was suddenly a year membership. They will say whatever they can to get you signed up and then once you make the mistake of trusting them suddenly they could not care less about you. They want to legally trap you, not provide you a good service.Owner falsely advertised that there will be a locker room/showers then never started building nearly a year later. I highly doubt they even started permit process with the city. They pretend to be a family owned business but whenever there is an issue they pretend to have some call center that is just to waste your time. Extremely disingenuous. You don't know how much you appreciate the amenities of a regular gym until you leave this place. For the entire gym there is one shower that always occupied and likely not even properly installed. The last thing I ever like to do is write reviews but walking into this gym was a terrible mistake, I feel conned but want to at least save you from feeling the same way. Trust me, try other gyms before signing up for one that just cares about taking your money.

If there was an option to give 0 stars I would put that!!! The programming is $4000 for 16 weeks. This manager John Cohn read from a script when doing my interview. He will ask you about your spouse and bring up your kids and how you aren't teaching them the right things. It all sounds good... until the coach they assign you doesn't know what she's doing. When I went in person to cancel, I was asked to give them another chance and against my better judgment, I stayed on. I gave his wife the benefit of the doubt. In a month I didn't lose any weight. After 5 days off the program, my inches came right back. They will tell you that you if you aren't satisfied, you can receive your money back but only after another 31 day cancellation. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

Great gym with an old-school bodybuilding type of feel. Plenty of cardio machines and space upstairs followed by plenty of free weights and machines downstairs to workout a variety of muscle groups in many different positions. This gym does not get busy at all and the front end staff are very friendly and helped me get a three day pass so that I could workout in their facility when I was visiting from out of town. I will definitely be coming back to this gym in thr future. I would recommend if you don't like commercial gyms and want a no nonsense workout.

BSF is an excellent facility. I actually look forward to going here much more than going to Gold’s. The equipment and people are fantastic. It is not crowded with people sitting on equipment looking at their phones. I get to take a break from those with no gym etiquette. This place is gem of a gym.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this has been bothering for so long that i was treated this way I have to get it off my chest. I answered an ad that they were looking for 15 women over 50 to do a 3 week free trial. I have paid money for programs that didn't work for me, so this sounded perfect to try it out first. After an initial phone interview with the owner to see if I was a good fit for the program, he told me I was, but there was a $97 co-pay due immediately. I was surprised but gave him my debit card number over the phone. He said he would call back in a couple of days with my fitness and nutrition program and get me started. When he called back, he kept me on the phone for an hour. He was clearly reading from an "infomercial" script, not anything tailored just for me like he said, and even asked me inappropriate questions about my relationship with my husband. At the end of the call, he said he needed another $5,200 from me and wanted to run a credit check on me. I ended the call feeling lied to. He later texted me saying "There is not a "Free" program out there that will solve your problem... you clearly just don't value your health/fitness enough to take this seriously at the moment. Hopefully it doesn't take a scary prognosis for you to act and do something about it. Doing something is great but you need a fully customized program, not a "Free 21 days". If you commit, which is what we are looking for, you will get your 21 days added to your program but unfortunately we don't have time or space for non committed."So after telling me I was a perfect fit for the program, he later told me I have to earn the free trial by spending 5k and 26 weeks to prove I am committed. I thought a free trial was to see if his program was a perfect fit for me. One more thing, he claimed to know a lot about nutrition and during the interview he said I was going to get diabetes from eating bee pollen.
