The major downside to this store is their return policy. Not only do you only get store credit, but you won't be told that the credit expires or when. It's assumes you just know, even as a new customer. I've been to other stores with store credit, but it either never expires or you're told an expiration date.

Kim is the best!! She is extremely knowledgeable about all things bird ... what they like and their behaviors are as well. We adopting an indian ringneck parakeet and a plumheaded parakeet from her, and they are both tame and really great birds that are still in training. They can be brats at times, but it comes with the territory. Definitely recommend this place for all your bird needs and for finding a new bird and beginning a bird journey like we have started here!

This is the place to go for everything bird related. She stocks Toys, the best and hard to find foods, treats and even boxed baking kits, housing and all to make it a place your bird will live in luxury. They will trim beaks, claws and feathers with all the above priced so reasonable why do it yourself when your bird can hate someone else for a while. They are also set up to board and babysit if you need. It sucks when they can't go with you but at least you can rest and relax being confident you left baby in good hands. You can even get that bird here. She has contacts for most species and she has a great selection of littles in store. The little cherry on top of it is the resident watch Gull. The free-range seagull that lords over store and all it's occupants. The only drawback are the shops hours which are very limited at best. Plan ahead and make sure it's before 3 pm

I was there Thursday 27th of July purchased two faced peach Love birds. The owner helped me so much trying to pick two males. I lost my beautiful Sunshine that day and needed to fill her cage again. ( she died of egg binding so sad) We talked and she helped me so much there was another customer their a man and he was so nice also. My new Love Birds are doing awesome.My sunshine guided me to her store.Thank you so muchNancy

I drove 25 miles to go to the store, I was looking to buy pheasant or medium size birds (I am building a "giant" aviary) only have beautiful small birds. The was a lady working there (I think it was the owner), she gave me the info about possible hatcheries, I really want to ask more questions about birds, since she is an expert, but she looked like she was busy and "not" very chatty, so I left.

Absolutely the best place to get a pet bird! Bought the sweetest cockatiel and Kim was so knowledgeable and kind throughout the whole process! All of her birds are hand fed and so great. Cannot recommend her enough!!

I’ve been taking my birds to Kim for almost 20 years. She is totally pro at wing clipping and she has all the best quality bird seed, and accessories. She boards birds too. It’s very convenient and affordable. She takes awesome care of my little feathered friends. She’s the best and I highly recommend Birds and B’s in Ventura.
