Made an appointment so I can ride in from Temecula and have a custom seat that can do miles on my bike without feeling a thing! Prior to BMS, my stock seat would start to hurt after 150 miles. With BMS, I can ride over 600 before I need to shift a cheek! Highly recommend riding your seat in. My ST1300 loves it.

I rode in to have my '06 Yamaha FJR1300 fitted for a custom seat back in the spring of 2008. I ride solo, year round here in the San Jose Bay area, and even with it's relatively moderate climate I appreciate the leather cover and that heated seat option. My 40 inch inseam necessitated placing me about 3/4 inches further back on the bike and a little higher up. Since then the seat has been on 3 different bikes, and has seen over 200k miles. Last September I did a 50CC ride from Santa Cruiz Ca. to Jacksonville Beach Florida in 47 hours 45 minutes. Even being 11 years old that seat performed flawlessly. Many thanks Rocky!

In early 2015 got a BMS Saddle for my 2010 BMW R1200R. I have since put 30K miles on the bike with the saddle. I have had many other aftermarket seats like Co*&b*n, SA#r%ge*, Mus#@!tng, etc. The BMS saddle is by far the BEST Motorcycle seat I have ever had. It is FAR superior than those other famous saddle makers, and priced about the same. I have ridden for 52 years and logged around 1.2 million miles on bikes, and I do not make recommendations lightly.

My wife was totally dissatisfied with the stock seat on our Can AM Spyder F3, so I started investigating replacements. I wasn't happy with any of the aftermarket seats, so I started looking for a custom seat shop here in Ventura. I found BMS with a internet search and liked their ethic. Yesterday my wife and I went to the shop to have both seats replaced. Rocky is outstanding and Adrian, the tech who actually built our seats is a wonder worker. He built both seats to fit perfectly. We are more than happy with the new seats and BMS' service. If you are replacing your saddle, don't waste your time on a factory or commercial replacement, spend a little more for a really well fitting seat from BMS, it's money well spent.

Just returned home, through Yosemite, over Tioga Pass, from the BMW NorCal '49er in Mariposa CA with my new black-on-black Bill Mayer Saddle on my 2005 F650GS. Let's just say, I can't wait to go riding tomorrow and I've not felt that enthusiasm for the past three years with the painful discomfort my last two seats. In the end, before BMS, I resorted to wearing padded bicycle shorts under my riding pants to alleviate pain. While other riders speak highly of its comfort, what initially attracted me to the BMS seat was its light weight. I knew BMW was coming to Mariposa and scheduled an appointment to have a new seat made (they were swamped). My only request was that they raise my seat height, then they took it from there. BMS saddle tech, Adrian, worked with me, initially studying my seated position on my bike. Forty-five minutes later, they had prepared the initial seat using my BMW stock seat. I went for a 15-minute test ride. Upon return, Adrian listened to my ride description, then sculpted the seat to relieve problematic pressure points. Vast improvements over my old saddles (Corbin and BMW stock) include comfort, of course; my seated riding position (my knees are no longer up to my chest; not sliding forward while in motion); and the mechanics of the ride itself. Now that the 32" stock seat height is properly adjusted for my 33" inseam, when I put down my left leg down at a stop, the weight of my fully loaded bike no longer shifts forward, throwing the bike out of balance. Also, I specifically chose vinyl over leather. The short of it is, I am very pleased with the exceptional quality of the product. My F650 and I thank you Rocky Mayer and the BMS team. Three years later, am writing about my second seat, for a factory-lowered BMW F800GS. Bought a lowered bike for a reason--driveway challenged. When backing into our garage, I must put my feet down on a swale then push off and up into the garage. The BMW F800GS seat (2018) update: Wish I could give my latest Mayer seat 5 stars. When I arrived for my appointment, there were four F800GS seats on the counter, $400 each. I tried one, but it was pulled so tight that it didn't seal against the tank. Should have suspected something then, but I love Rocky and his crew. Initially, the new seat was too tall and narrow (imagine a cabbage head sitting in a single serving ice cream cone). I said, "If you lower it 1/2 inch across the top (to remove the height and broaden the narrow edge) it should be perfect." Unfortunately, the front was lowered, so much so, that I slid forward into curves, on descents. Didn't seem like they could correct it, because of a difference of opinion amongst the staff. I told Rocky, "You don't have to up-sell me on how great your seats are. I'm a loyal customer buying my second seat." Rode it home. When I put my feet down on the swale, there was nothing, just air; fell over onto concrete. Too tall. Returned a second time at another event, paid another $150. They lowered it, but enhanced the forward slide even more. Could not hold a turn without being pitched forward with all my weight on the handlebars, impacting the handling on corners. Around corners, would launch out of the seat. Took it back a third time. Overheard owner asking fabricator if he had to cut a new piece of vinyl, to which the answer was, "Oh no, no, no." That's when I realized they couldn't build up the front of the seat without cutting a new piece of vinyl (because they had cut off the excess), which they didn't want to do because of the bottom line. My safety for the bottom line. Paid cash: $600 for the vinyl seat; another $150 for corrections. No receipt. Rode away hoping the third time was the charm. You want everything to work like it's supposed to the first time. Sadly, the seat is more uncomfortable than the original BMW seat. I reordered another stock seat, which had to come from Germany, because the factory-lowered F800GS is a different seat than the stock F800GS. You could say, t

About 3 years ago I had a seat done (mail order) by Rick Mayer and was very unhappy - I sent it back a second time and still was not thrilled. Last week I had the "better brother" Rocky do my seat in Ventura, my wife and I drove in and had it done on the spot. They were GREAT!! I would highly recommend them / quality / helpful support / choice of materials / great price. Don't be like me wasting your money and trying other custom seat companies. Go to BMS / Rocky Mayer and get it done right the first time. You won't be disappointed.

After looking at many custom seat makers & talking to many friends who have used all of them I decided to go with Bill Mayer Saddles. I first called BMS & left a message asking what that could do to improve the seat on my BMW K1600GTL. The very next day Rocky (owner of BMS) call me & walked me threw what that did to make their seat better then the rest. I was sold so I went to their online order form & filled it out then sent them my money. Again the very next day I got a call from Rocky thanking me for my order & asked when I wanted to get my seat done. I told him it would be a few weeks & was told to just sent it when I was ready & to E-Mail BMS when I sent it in. I shipped it on a Monday & Rocky called me that Friday to verify what I want done to my seat. The following Tuesday i get a E-Mail stating my seat was done & being shipped back. On Friday the seat was here in Austin Tx. Less then 2 weeks to get my seat rebuilt by one of the best custom seat builders is outstanding service. If you need to have your motorcycle seat fixed so you can ride longer then use Bill Mayer Saddles you will not be disappointed.
