I've ordered Business Cards several times. Best deals are when you order 1000 or 5000 in quantity

My favorite are the promotional items. They are high quality, produced quickly, and quite reasonably priced (even when not being purchased in bulk). And, the owner, Jeff Hata is an honest, humble businessman who makes significant contributions to the Ventura County business community. If you are a Ventura County businessperson, find him at a mixer and introduce yourself. I promise that he will never shove his business card in your face and try to sell you on his product, but if you ask, he will tell you all about his company and he will let you know how he can help your business grow. And only then will he offer his card. He will lead by example of supporting others and building relationships, because he realizes that that is how to build a sustainable business in Ventura County.

November 2012 by Jeff n.
I was referred to this printing company. I wanted to have business cards designed and printed, so that I could launch my new business. When I went there, I spoke to Jeff Hata. When I told him that I was looking to get business cards, he told me that Anchor printing doesn't design business cards and that I needed to go to a graphic designer and then have them email the design to him. He told me the cost was $106 for a thousand business cards. He told me that it was a great deal and I thought so too. I thought this was normal, so I called a person Jeff recommended. That person's fee was a little more than I could afford to spend, as I am just starting out in my business. A friend of mine, who owns a sign company, volunteered to design the business card for me. The design was awesome and I had it emailed to Anchor printing. I went to Anchor printing to see if they got the email and to pay the 50% deposit for the printing job. When I got there, I was told that the JPEG format was something they don't work with and that it had to be in PDF format. I was shown 2 different UV coating business card samples. I really liked the spot UV coating sample and was told that it would be an extra charge of $25 to $30. I asked if there was anything else I needed to fix and I was told that PDF format and the margins needed to come in, to prevent the text and logo from being inadvertently cut off when the cards were cut at the outside print vendor. I left and contacted my friend to make the corrections to my design. My friend made those changes and I went back to Anchor printing. While I was there, I was then told that in order to do the spot UV I needed to have a separate PDF format for the portions I wanted to have that coating on. I was also told that they could not guarantee that the basic colors I chose on my design would actually come out on the final printing. I was also told that although the margins came in as directed, the logo needed to be extended so that when the cards were cut, there would be no issues with the background color showing through on the bottom edge of the card. And that to make the design fit in 2.25"x 3.75" dimensions. At this point, I am starting to feel a little frustrated because I had wished I had been told on the first visit all the corrections, so that I did not have to bother my friend and continually keep making trips to Anchor printing. I was again told that it would have been better if I had used a graphic artist, then all the issues would have been done right the first time. I explained that I did not have the cash to pay for that, and that my friend can make all the corrections needed. I again left and visited my friend, who again made all the changes requested. This was emailed to Anchor printing. I tried calling Anchor printing to see if the newest email PDF templates were correct. All I kept getting was an answering machine. So, I went back to Anchor printing. I was told that the UV coating PDF template needed to have a background color of white rather than blank. I telephoned my friend and asked him to make the correction. My friend told me that he would do it later and email it to Anchor printing. Later that afternoon, I received an email from Anchor printing stating that the design and formats looked perfect. The next day, I went back to Anchor printing to pay the 50% deposit for the printing of the business cards. I was happy that all this correction stuff was behind me and that I could finally get my cards in a few days, or so I thought. When I got there, I was then told that even though their email said all the PDF formats were perfect, I needed to make the margins come in a little more, so that if there was a cutting mistake the lettering and logo would not be cut off. I am an easy going guy but at this point, I got upset! I said that I had jumped through all these hoops for them. I asked if they would fix the margins to what they now wanted, since the PDF formats were unlocked and that it would be easy for them to make all the final adjustments. I stated that this w
