  I'm writing this four years after I moved from Ventura to Wyoming in 2019 via Alex Moving & Storage. I had no problems of any kind with the company. The movers did a great job. Jerry was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I'm surprised at the negative reviews. Two sides to every story, I guess.

  Driver David was excellent. DO NOT trust Jerry the estimator. He will tell you whatever to get the contract sign. I showed him a laser engraving machine I had. Showed the crating material for it and ensured me it would be loaded onto the truck without the need of a forklift. When the loaders arrived they told me I had to rent the forklift. At the tune of an additional $1,200 Alex moving and Storage would not compensate additional fee I incurred even though Jerry stated it would not be needed. So after paying over $30,000, I had the additional fee of $1,200. Communication with the office, Yumma, was unprofessional. Stated she would call me back and after a week, no return call. Spoke to Jasmine who stated she would call back that afternoon, no return call.Should have gone with the lesser company that told me they would have a forklift at the load and unload. Sad thing is I told Jerry this and he again ensured me a forklift was not needed.Needless to say, we did have some damaged property so now filing that claim. Can't say I am confident in that process but will see.

  My neighbors are using this moving service. The truck driver is parked in a place where he is blocking a fire lane, a major walkway, handicap access to the side walk and elevator. I tried to ask them to move there truck so it wouldnt block residents and they stated it would take too much of their time. Dont use this service unless you want to piss off your nieghbors.

  This company is the worst. We moved to Texas and our stuff was supposed to be here on Friday or Saturday. We received an email stating that the company would arrive Monday or Tuesday. They actually arrived on Monday but they had no tools to put our stuff together. Also, the day after when I was unpacking I realized I was missing stuff which ended up being 35 boxes. It took another month to get the remainder of our 35 boxes, vacuum cleaner, weights, and other items. I would not recommend them to anyone because the Customer service is horrible. Never did they ever call me back or try to get my furniture to me earlier. They are affiliated with North American Van lines. Which I would not refer to anyone either.

  This is by far the WORST storage and moving company ever!!! Disgusting people! I was dealing with Mr. Jerry Durham, it's impossible to get this guy on the phone. They tried moving my stuff and before I signed the contract I read it fully and these people are running a scam. Very dishonest, I would never recommend them to anyone else. I always read the fine print, and when I called them out on everything I was hung up on and couldn't reach them anymore. I can tell by the reviews they are scammers, DO NOT use them for your moving needs. I'm not even sure how these people are still in business. I will be reporting them.

  It all started with Jerry Durham, who was very professional, thorough, responsive, and friendly. We needed to move our mother's furniture & belongings from Oregon to Ventura and Jerry arranged it. He walked us through the estimate to make sure we understood all the costs, insurance options, etc. We noticed some negative reviews from customers who were surprised at final costs, and can't help but wonder if they didn't take the time to ask questions and understand the process up front. A cross-country move is a daunting undertaking due to the many unavoidable variables, so it's important to understand all the variables from the beginning, and we couldn't ask for someone more clear, thorough, and honest than Jerry. The driver, Luke, was friendly, professional, and was an excellent communicator. His helpers were careful with all the furniture, which arrived without a scratch. Before choosing Alex Moving & Storage, we got estimates from competitors and they were all higher, which confirmed our decision. The final cost was exactly what was estimated - it was a guaranteed price and we didn't need any extra services (extra stop, waiting time, etc.). The overall experience was smooth and professional, making a hard move as easy as possible. We would not hesitate to recommend Alex Moving & Storage to others.

  I will DEFINITELY and without any hesitation, recommend Alex Moving and Storage. The moving company I lined up to move me when my house sold, left me in the lurch. I called Alex M&S and spoke to Raquel, who hopped in her car to drive out immediately to size up the load. She then called to say they could pick up my household in a day! Saved my neck,, as that's when escrow closed. On Moving day,Miguel and the 2 other guys were extremely careful, thorough, and professional with the pickup. Then, on the receiving end which was a week earlier than quoted, the 2 men who came to unload were prompt and EXTREMELY helpful. The long dirt road to the house was not wide enough for the van, and they were VERY creative in getting the belongings to the house! I do so VERY MUCH appreciate them, ALL of them, in each part they played in moving me. Thank you one and all!!!

  We had an excellent experience with Alex moving and storage! After 15 years, we had to vacate a third story apartment without an elevator! Alex moving and storage to the rescue! Actually...Juan, Julio and Ronaldo to the rescue! These good men, were professional (wrapping fragile items), careful and incredibly friendly and courteous. We were/are so grateful that we hired this company. From the moment we called (and Juana actually answered every time) we felt we were in good, honest , professional hands. A big thank you to Alex moving and storage, we WILL refer you!

  Completed damaged porcelain collection, claimed by Jerry Durham to not be covered by any insurance. When the claim was filed, a fraudulent Word document was sent with insurance details never discussed during the transaction. In other words, they'll take your money but won't take any accountability for damage, loss or theft. Items were not just poorly packed locally, broken in transit, but also missing. There are far too many other moving companies...keep looking.

  Alex Moving & Storage recently moved my family from CA to NC. I received estimates from 5 moving companies before deciding on Alex Moving & Storage. Jerry came to my home and made a thorough inventory list of our items and we received a very detailed quote for our cross-country move. Their price was competitive. Other companies I spoke to wanted me to provide my own inventory list before they would write a quote. How was I supposed to know how many boxes and what sizes I needed? Alex Moving & Storage packed our entire house, and they did a great job. The crew showed up promptly, was extremely careful with our belongings, and worked hard to get everything done. The crews that loaded and unloaded were equally careful and pleasant throughout the entire arduous task. The company responded to all of my calls promptly (and there were a lot of them!), and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. I highly recommend Alex Moving & Storage.

  This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Husband and wife run the company who are incompetent on how to run a business. There were issues from the get go.... WORD OF ADVICE- DO NOT PUT DOWN A CREDIT CARD FOR CHARGES!! MAKE SURE THEY DISCUSS ALL CHARGES WITH YOU PRIOR TO YOU PAYING BECAUSE THEY OVERCHARGE ON EVERYTHING!! Here is the list of all the issue that we had... 1. We needed to grab some items from storage on a couple of different occasions- they stated the fee for each visit but were not clear on the fact that it was an hourly rate PER EMPLOYEE who sat around and did NOTHING!! 2. Scheduled a delivery date for items-called a day before to confirm since they didn't call....they didn't have it on their schedule. I had installations scheduled and had to beg and plea to get the items delivered on the day that it was scheduled. 3. Two unprofessional movers came and were not efficient or diligent in their work. Stole fruit from my new neighbors yard and were not by any means careful with any of my items. They ended up shattering my one mirrored credenza. 4. Filed a claim....they gave me a $90 check for a $3000 piece of furniture. The insurance that was pre-selected for us only gave you $.90 a pound and they felt that $90 was fair. When we started the move they did not once go through the insurance options because I know we would always chose the full coverage. 5. They overcharged me for the hours that the movers put in. Movers lied about the hours that they worked and they overcharged me quite a bit. This all happened about a year ago (February 8, 2019) and I have been so distraught and angry with the service that it took me this long to actually write a review. Tried to talk to management about it....the wife is just as bad as the service provided. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to not use this company at all!!! I had my friend who stored his own stuff there have another moving company pick it up from their storage unit and have it delivered....it was that bad!! Now to pay it forward with someone that is reliable and gives 100% coverage... Danny Movers!! 858-952-9193 He is the most polite and professional gentlemen who I actually used to transport furniture from Dallas to Los Angeles. Then my friend used him and was very happy.

  DO NOT BOOK THIS MOVING COMPANY.My husband job company paid for the move. We had packed everything professionally and had all the items bubbled wrapped and label "Fragile" or "glass" etc. and the items listed on the box. They destroyed my Glass Hollywood vanity mirror and many other items during the move, and we had to wait a week from them picking up my items before them shipping it to our new home (LA to Norcal). DO NOT GET THE BASIC COVERAGE (they give you 60 cents per pound of the item destroyed, when my mirror cost over $500)! The customer service sucks (AT LEAST HANDLE WITH CARE) and they DESTROY your items.

  I am so happy that I picked this company for my move to Arizona. I got 3 bids for the job. They were all similar in price, but this was the only company that suggested crating our artwork. They showed up on time as promised and completed the work as we agreed. They got our furniture to our new home faster than I expected and everything arrived in great shape. No damages. A special thanks to Jerry Durham for estimating the price and suggesting the crating of our valuable items. And to Carlos for overseeing the packing, moving and delivery. But really the whole crew was friendly and professional and I felt they took great care of our items. I highly recommend this company if you are planning a move .

  Rip off. Mispacked items--shoe pairs split up over different unrelated and unassociated boxes, roof shingles packed in with clothes, chemicals were packed in with kids clothes, broke items and tried to hide the fact, packed items set aside and told not to pack, packed a bunch of heavy items that were instructed not to and the weight was counted towards our total charges. Overall, these guys are sloppy and don't write down any remarks made by customer; constantly asking for a repeat of instructions already provided instead of writing it down. Movers eventually gave up asking and just packed however they liked. I asked them to remove what they mispacked and was told that it's too late because its too deep in the truck. Items instructed to be marked for shipment overseas were not all sent over due to incorrect or lack of marking. Items not instructed to be shipped over were shipped and ultimately led to overages.
