OMG I'm so glad these guys are close by. Brought my 2015 GTI in for 80K service and from everything I can see they did the work perfectly and the price was fair. Most importantly they didn't try to gouge me for service that wasn't required like some other shops have done (i.e. $100s for a brake service when just looking at the fluid and measuring the pads is sufficient). We need more VW mechanics like these guys; real pride in what they do, deep technical competence.

From day 1 these guys said and did all the right things to make me feel good about leaving my Mk 4 Jetta GLI in their care. They came highly recommended from another great shop, and it feels like I have found the inner circle of quality as their recommendations have been on point. A big point to consider is that Gabe (the owner) personally owns the same vehicles- both as an enthusiast, and also his daily drivers as what he focuses on professionally.You gotta get on the schedule, which may be a couple weeks away, and after our initial pre appointment consultations, we were able to come up with budget conscious game plans that fit within my wants and needs, and were able to complete work intelligently and in stages to fit my budget. Upon delivering my car for the appointment, he already had all parts necessary waiting. Upon completion, which was either right on schedule or ahead of schedule, I was happy to find that the cost was below the original estimate. Communication was excellent during the entire process, and I was provided updates and pictures. Work that I thought needed to be done was unnecessary allowing for other things to be addressed. My point is that this shop is transparent in all of its work and it shows. Under estimate, on time or better, honest, and awesome communication. I will be bringing my vehicle back for all of its needs and you should too.One final thanks to the crew here, I am super grateful to have found this shop, and see you soon!

Reasonably priced, great work, and very friendly. I brought in my 2015 GTI for an A/C repair that the dealer quoted at $1800, but Gabe got done for around $600. He explained why the price was different, what the risks and benefits of both approaches were, and allowed me to make an informed decision. Everything went well and I couldn't be happier with the service and outcome.

Compliments to Gabe, Gus, and Robyn! The issues I was having were quickly diagnosed and communicated. A solid plan with fair price options was laid out with no pressure. The work was completed in a professional, timely manner by a friendly, knowledgeable group. Highly recommend!

Could not say enough good things about these guys- WOW. We're from far out of town, broke down nearby and had our Vanagon towed to their shop after-hours in March, and they got to it the next day, showed us what to look for on the roadtrip home, and got some spare parts. Gave us a ride downtown to wait for them to finish up even. At the end of the day we were on the road headed back to Montana, practically in tears how well Gus and Gabe treated us. Honestly the best service I've had at any auto shop. Broke down from out of town with a vintage vw. They were able to get parts, do the work (at a more than fair cost) and walk us through what was done and what to watch for in less than a day. Absolutely incredible! If you need quality service and don't want to break the bank for it, AG is the place to go!

This little shop is a bit of a dream come true for VW owners in Ventura County. Gabe and Gus were simple and fast to quote, schedule, and perform service. Gus went out of his way to arrange transport for me, while Gabe was honest in assessing services the car didn't yet need, but for which in the future I will absolutely return to AG Autowerks. I wish I would have gone here for the first time years ago!Services: Oil change

I rarely write an updated review but after my second appointment, I was inspired to do so. I recently purchased a fiberglass dune buggy on a 1967 VW Chassis. As one gets to know an old vehicle like this there are many surprises that in due time unfold. I first took this vehicle with a mile long laundry list and AG addressed a number of issues in just one day, yet I kept finding more "things" that needed to be addressed. In my second appointment Gus kept me informed as to their progress while Gabe treated my vehicle like his own. He pointed out some safety issues, rear brakes, that needed immediate attention for example. Rerouting the accelerator cable without any curves was another. After my second appointment, this vehicle is now reliable thanks to replacing my alternator diagnosed by AG. I am going back for a few other things which should finalize for now. Prices are very reasonable, workmanship is first rate. I highly recommend their company for new and not so newer vehicles.

Brought in my best car ever (2008 Audio S5 / 185k miles) to these guys for a major service and some minor fixes. They not only did everything I asked quickly and efficiently but diagnosed a few issues and made some recommendations without piling up a bunch of extra costs. Car is running great and I'm very happy. Will be back again when I need something else.

I'm always iffy about mechanic especially trying new ones that I just read reviews, but Gabe and Gus made me feel like I knew them since forever. They didn't overcharged me for "extra work" I didn't need and knew what they doing when working on my Audi A4.
