I am so glad I dodged this emotionally unstable bullet. I really hope the owner of this company whose responses I have seen on other reviews doesn't try to comment on mine. I'm taking this complaint straight to Kaiser Permanente for even doing business with them. I had a confirmed appointment email, and a confirmed over the phone check with a very unsure receptionist from this business. Then on Monday I received a second call from the person who was to be who saw me at my appointment, Dr. Mario Valvo, and I will gladly play that very alarming & unsettling message for Kaiser member services. The day of my appointment I needed to cancel because my 8 year old had a medical emergency & within 5 seconds of speaking to Dr. Valvo on his personal phone number he told me I in fact did not even have a confirmed appointment & that I never returned his personal call. He very angrily proceeded to speak with animosity when I was explaining that I had made sure twice to confirm as I was calling because the issue with my daughter being sick came into play. I quickly told him I was uncomfortable & got off the phone. I really feel as though I am glad I was not able to make this twice confirmed appointment today, it may have been more damaging. I am going to make a very serious complaint with Kaiser & I hope this doctor is not a problem for others seeking healing. I was mind blown by the whole experience.

I give Lisa Tomei a FULL 5 stars. Lisa is just amazing! She was a true blessing for myself and family. I've always been a happy, positive, optimistic person, I never thought depression would ever happen to me. I've had my bad days, and really bad months, like many people, but I always managed to find a way to lift myself up and like a reboot button, I would go back into my regular happy self. But last year My reboot button didn't seem to work.... it seemed like everything and everyone around me just manage to keep me down... I just couldn't find a way out of my depression and couldn't lift myself up like I usually do. In a desperate moment I called Beach Side and they managed to get me in that same week! Lisa saved me from my depression and saved my family from falling apart! She always worked around my schedule, she not just listened, she truly gave me the attention I needed. She made me feel so safe, kind of like a friend, she made me feel understood, and un judged. She is so professional. I literally can go on and on about how great she is. And of course I can't forget her dog Joey who always put a smile on my face when I walked in. Lisa Tomei helped me to reboot myself and I'm back as my positive, happy, optimistic self again. My marriage is stronger than it has ever been, it's going great at my job, and I'm very grateful to Lisa for helping me to find my happiness and peace once again. I'm very lucky and blessed to have found Lisa Tomei. Thank you a million times Lisa for everything.

I came here after a bout with suicidal thoughts after several years of underemployment and dealing with the threat of homelessness. I had already been on a waiting list elsewhere for several months. The waiting list is long, but so were the ones at all the places I tried in Ventura. I was able to be seen relatively quickly on account of having wide open availability. The first therapist I saw was not a good match for me, but switching to another was quick and easy. Now after several months of therapy, I've been enjoying life again, found a decent job with hope for advancement. This place has helped me immeasurably.

Poor experience attempting to set up an appointment due to phone etiquette. I had some issues with finding out if my referral came through. I called at the opening of the day and was told that they weren't really working yet despite the hours posted online. Was told to call later that day. When I did there was no answer. Left multiple voicemails. When I received a call back the next day my appointment time was different than what I was originally told. Ended up cancelling my appointment and seeking services elsewhere.

Horrible phone etiquette by whoever answered the phone today. She abruptly put me on hold, with no explanation, when I asked to book an appointment. She came back and then said, "I'll put you on the wait list," without explaining. They are supposedly accepting new patients, but they "don't have any appointments." I guess they were just going to call back when they lose a patient?? Who knows. When I asked some clarifying questions she was short with me. It was an annoying phone call and not what I was wanting to deal with while look for some help!

Top notch tax work from experts that are professionals and friendly. We've use them over 25 years and they've honestly kept our tax rate lower than we possibly could get for ourselves or from some other company. Plus if anything is questioned by the IRS, they answer for us. Unbeatable!
