This is my third visit to this liquor store, and each time, they never disappoint. Their extensive wine selection is wooooww and outstanding, complemented by fair prices. The owner and staff exude hospitality, creating a positive atmosphere. Undoubtedly, the best liquor store in the beach area.

Venice Food and Wine is a great local convenient market and liquor store in Venice Beach. They have a great selection of Wine and craft beer. Super friendly staff always have what I need!

There's nothing I despise more than a business who doesn't answer the phone or has an old number down for their business. In this weather and traffic I'm calling to see if you have what I need so I don't make an unnecessary walk or drive. Called twice. Nothing. In the year of our Lord 2024 why are you not answering the phone when you're a whole business? In Venice at that? Most recent reviews express there being new management with rude energy and while I have not interfaced with them personally this tracks with what I've seen with other businesses. There seems to be a correlation between poor customer service and a lack of regard for the local community they're supposed to be serving and a lack of care regarding up-keeping phone lines. If they couldn't give a damn about answering the phone, why would they give a damn about kindness and customer service.

I live down the street from this place , it is so convenient for me and I'd be glad to give them all of my business. HOWEVER, the dudes who work in there are SO RUDE. Every single time I'm in there they act like they don't give a damn about their customers and barely say a word. Plus everything is way overpriced. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

We love the convenience of this store, its a great walking distance from our apartment and we go regularly. BUT... ever since the new management we have had some issues. We LOVE that they are focusing on the wine portion of the store which has somewhat of a good selection, but they are poorly cooling the building so the storage of the wine is... questionable. Especially the nicer bottles that they have. Along with the warmer store, all of the drinks in the "refrigerators" are warm! Whether you buy a bottle of champagne or a water, it will be pretty much room temp which is pretty disappointing. Their only redeeming quality is their nice selection of Ben and Jerrys ice cream which thankfully is frozen. Drink at your own risk ;p

Wow these guys are open on Thanksgiving. The hard work from the new mgmt is so visible. So clean and organized. Beautiful selection of wines, Tequila and Mezcal. Good luck to the new guys. Keep up the good work! Hopefully the unhappy customers from the previous ownership will be back to be amazed.

Insanely expensive, even more now under new (rude) ownership. I just take the bus across the street and go to Vons off Centinela Blvd Another local option is 7 eleven at Washington and Lincoln. Leaving bad reviews is not my favorite thing but so isn't unnecessarily overpaying for beer and spirits.

Visited the place after few months and happy to see the beautiful change made by the new management. Feels so clean and organized. Great selection of natural wines and helpful staff. As per the manager in next few weeks, they will be bringing in great selection of new products while keeping prices fair.

Stopped for quick snacks before going to the beach. Good selection and much better prices than beach. Found the wine I love too.

Horrible and embarrassing first and last experience. While my husband was gonna go inside to check out their beer selection for our dinner, I decided to step out of the car with my fussy infant and 11 year old son to soothe her while he made his purchase. I wasn't out of my car for more than 10 seconds when the worker stormed outside to start telling us there was no loitering allowed. I tried to explain that my children and I were not loitering, we had JUST arrived and my husband was just getting his wallet to go into his store. I was carrying my visibly fussy baby. He proceeded to tell me "we have cameras. Can't you read the signs? No loitering. Or im calling the police" it was absolutely horrifying. We obviously got in our car and left. Didn't even get a chance to walk in. I see many people have had bad experiences here. I've never felt the need to write a review for any business, but honestly being with my children having this experience really upset me.Added note: reply to ownerMy child being near your garbage area did not warrant the demeaning manner in which we were approached. I was steps behind my son, in your tiny parking lot, holding a fussy 9 month old. If you were truly concerned about a child's well being near your trash, why did you (or your worker) aggressively point at your sign and continue telling us we were "loitering" and that you were gonna call the police? It seems you're attempting to redeem yourselves in these reviews. But your condescending response doesn't make sense. And there was absolutely no reason to treat us how you did. You should be ashamed of yourselves speaking to a mother with her children the way you did. These reviews don't lie. And it's evident that your rude & terrible customer service has pushed many people away from your establishment. Do better. Stop treating potential customers horribly and maybe your store will have more foot traction.

extremely rude employees /owner. stopped by to check out beer selection and didn't even make it into the store. employee saw me and my children walking across their parking lot and came out yelling at us telling us we were loitering. when I tried to explain we were trying to go into the store but I was attempting to calm my fussy 9 month old, the employee (or owner, not sure) continued to aggressively point at their sign that said no loitering. he threatened to call the cops on us. we were out of our car for less than 10 seconds before this happened. it's like they were waiting to run us off as soon as they saw us pull in. owner responded to my google review by condescendingly telling me the worker was "helping my child" stay away from the garbage. and ended it with a "you're welcome". they should be ashamed of themselves for the way they approached a woman with her 2 young children.
