Deus Ex Machina’s Emporium of Post Modern Activities in Venice, CA, is a unique blend of a high-end motorcycle and surf culture store combined with a cozy café. This eclectic venue is a haven for enthusiasts of motorcycles, surfing, and stylish apparel. The store offers a wide range of products including men’s and women’s clothing and accessories.
The café opens at 7 AM and features a warm, inviting atmosphere with varied seating options. The menu includes Levain toast, paninis, pastries, and fresh fruit. Often hosting community events and art exhibitions, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy coffee and socialize.
During my visit, the atmosphere was enhanced by lively Brazilian music, which perfectly complemented the laid-back yet enthusiastic vibe of the place. This combination of retail and café creates a dynamic and welcoming environment where like-minded individuals can gather, shop, and enjoy quality food and coffee. It’s an ideal spot to start the day, blending shopping and socializing in one of Venice’s most vibrant locales 
I highly recommend Deus Ex Machina for its unique fusion of style, culture, and community spirit. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area, earning a well-deserved five stars.

Brendan Schlob (nice guy never meddum) totally ripped their logo with the piston and lightning bolt. He's using it in his YouTube channel Drive Fast All Gas. Hope you guys take him down. I've been a Deus fan for yairs. Seen it both ways b.

Very cool vibe in there. Its nice that even though the patrons are a bit on the trendy side, the staff is still very cool and not snobby. I always enjoy my lattees and flat whites here. Good baristas and good bakes to go along with them as I enjoy the Venice sun.

Shout out to the guy that helped me out this morning!!! Walked in looking like a tornado, working insane hours this weekend, little sleep, desperate for help. I said, "I should know more about coffee but what will get me through now to 1am." I got a whole breakdown and was given a red eye. let's just say we are ALIVE and ready to slay. Thank you! If it's vibes you want, it's vibes you'll get! An avid motorcycle rider, I've followed the Deus brand for sometime and was psyched to finally check out the shop. Had a latte, with a surfer friend, and got a few tees and a sweatshirt and really had a fun time just hanging. Parked in the back and felt like everyone was helpful and friendly.

I enjoy going here on Sunday mornings when group riders meet up in the parking lot before leaving. Coffee is always good, cruise around the parking lot looking at cafe racers, maybe walk through the store to check out new Deus clothing. It's always been a positive vibe and enthusiastic people bonding over their love of bikes.

Probably the worst matcha you can get in Venice. Not only that but it was overpriced. Will not be coming back. Please take a look at the picture of the matcha I ordered. It is all milk and no actual matcha for $8. What a ripoff for low quality matcha powder! My girlfriend ordered coffee and didn't like hers either.
