Shoppers know they are leaving with a special and unique, beautifully curated piece. It is a great store for gifts with a good price range, though some advise checking prices online as products can be marked higher than MSRP. The store has wonderful workers who are helpful, informative, patient, and accommodating, with excellent taste and knowledge of the interesting wares. However, the shop is often chronically understaffed, with service having its ups and downs. A single worker clearly cannot handle the entire store alone on a busy weekend. Some reviews cite the worst customer service consistently, while others defend the staff, noting retail workers are tired, underpaid, and exhausted from unreasonable demands. The small shop also faces challenges like shoplifters, homeless people, and drug addicts, as seen during the 2020 riots.
