Van Nuys autoworks is indeed my favorite car workshop because of their good attitude, transparent business practice and ability to get the job done. I bought a used car and ask Chris to inspect it for me. They cleared the car and the next day some issue appeared in the car. They fixed it all without charging me an extra penny. That shows they have their priority right. Highly recommend it.

Went in for a walk in oil change, tired from the day, left with a full service with a smile on my face-- with snacks and a movie too! Will be returning for any future issues-- great value for the price

I love these guys. Ari and his crew are true car lovers and experts at what they do. Ultra professional, but also genuinely friendly. I was in and out of there in no time at all. Price was very reasonable. If you're tired of dealing with the clowns at the local dealership, the long waits, the obscene prices, and always feeling like you're getting robbed, go see these guys. Highest recommendation.

These guys are so amazing it is difficult to detail. Chris will FIND the answer and do everything to minimize the costs wherever possible. Repair, service, even tires and rims, he and his team make it happen. They are such nice, honest people, it's almost impossible to match. My first encounter was with a bad spark plug that the dealer wanted 1800 to repair and Chris isolated it to one plug, total 500. I have been going to this shop ever since. Even after moving to the South Bay, it is worth the drive to be in such trustworthy and competent hands Love these people!

I love this place and really appreciate how great these guys are! I price checked the work I needed done on my A/C and they not only beat the price but really impressed me with their honesty and general good natured mechanics and staff. I would drive out of my way to come to these guys and am definitely going to be recommending them to everyone I know.Update: I've been coming here for years and swear by these guys!

Harry and guys over at Van Nuys Autoworks are top notch. I have a car that I enjoy taking to the race track. A week prior to a track day I had the car serviced at the dealership so that all was in order for the beating it was going to take on the track. As I started to get ready to leave for the track, I noticed a few drops of oil on my drive way. Not good...my car has a known issue that the oil filter will backoff if not torqued properly. I called a few places close to me, as I needed to lift the car to have the filter torqued down. This was on a Friday afternoon. After a few shops said they couldn't do it I found Van Nuys Autoworks...Harry told me to be at the shop in about an hour. Upon arrival, he came out, greeted me, lifted the car and handled the filter issue (it was very loose). His crew even checked a few other loose ends as they understood I was headed to the track and are car enthusiasts themselves. I owe a huge thank you to Harry and the guys...I'm super thankful they were able to squeeze me in and avoid what would have possibly been a disaster.

Just had my '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee smogged. It has 272k miles on it.This car runs because it is brought to Van Nuys Auto Works.These guys are awesome. Professional, patient and kind. You cannot go wrong with this team.Thank you all at Van Nuys Auto Works.

I spent 95% of my day in tears because of car trouble. Every shop I called was either too expensive or couldn’t offer immediate help, which I needed. Eventually, I bought a new battery from autozone after being told they’d help me replace the old one for free. Jokes on me. Apparently that is not true for my style of Cadillac. I was told it would be too difficult. A few more tears and a few more phone calls later I called Van Nuys Autoworks and spoke with a kind gentleman named Harry. It was about 12 minutes until they closed but he insisted I come by then and not wait until morning. I was in and out of the shop in less than 20 minutes and paid literally 1/4 of the price that every single other shop I called quoted me. Harry and his team are absolute angels. Because of them I was able to end my day with a peaceful mind and a grateful heart. I’m not hoping for car trouble anytime soon but I will absolutely be a returning customer.Service: Battery

I have been working with Chris and Harry at Van Nuys Autoworks for the last three years. A good mechanic can be hard to find and these guys are the real deal. They have always been kind, informative, and pleasant to work with. And they get the job done, which is important when it comes to vehicles and vehicle maintenance. Most recently, my car broke down on a trip to Yosemite. My extended warrantee was giving us a really hard time, and Chris and Harry jumped through hoops and bent over backwards to help me get my claim. They worked with inspectors, sent organized vehicle reports, followed complicated protocols, and even fought for me on multiple occasions when the warrantee company tried to deny my claim. If it wasn't for them I would have been out of pocket thousands of dollars.They also recently have been putting more into their business. Making the place feel more inviting and clean. When I go, I usually hang out on the coach, and have a cup of the free coffee that they offer. The staff is very friendly and in a world where the human element is so rare, they really show up and take care of you!I would recommend Van Nuy Autoworks team to anyone who needs a mechanic they can trust. You will get what you need here!

The owner, Cris, is one of the most humble, honest, authentic and down-to-earth mechanics I have ever met. He is a lovely human and it is clear that his personal ethics are reflected in the quality of the work being produced from his business. All of his staff are gentlemen. Cris' brother, and office manager, is just as kind and wonderful as well! They have always been super flexible with me regarding the hours that I come by for an oil change and in the short notice that I ask of them as well. I highly recommend this mechanic!

I am SHOCKED this team doesn’t have more reviews! They deserve it! Not only do we take our fleet vehicles here but I took a personal vehicle for repairs too! Shop is tucked in but look for the building street side with the address and pull into the open gate; there a couple of shop in the lot. Appears they take all common forms of payment. Common lobby area for a shop. Multiple bays and mechanics. 03’ Toyota Tundra that has had A LOT of upgrades but of course along the way original parts have reached their max. A bunch of issues such as leaking rack and pinion, ABS wiring & break master cylinder etc, AC, control arms, bushing, ball joint etc etc, just a bunch. After working to fit my drop off schedule the team evaluated and provided feedback with a reasonable cost as I was being given just far out estimates and time frames; I get all shops/mechanics are different. They respected that I was worried on timing as a big trip for vacation was upcoming and it was my preference to have the Tundra ready in time for trailer towing and it was! I’m so impressed with how kind Chris & Harry are…even though I keep mixing their voices up hahaha! I am so appreciative they help not just my crew’s fleet vehicles but mine too. You Gentlemen, have a client, and referrals headed your way! Hopefully they don’t get sick of my team or I. I have a definite gratitude to both Chris & Harry and their Mechanic team!
