This is my second F250 I have purchased from SAS. Even though I live in Florida, it is more than worth the shipping costs to get one of the clean California Super Duty's. Stan is very easy to deal with and fairly represents his trucks. Will definitely but from him in the future.

I bought a used 2012 Ford F-350 from SAS at the end of August, sight unseen. My younger brother who lives near Van Nuys went to check it out and informed me all looked and sounded good. My concern was that the vehicle currently had a "Salvage Title", but Stanley filled me in on the details and offered to ship it to me in NorCal. I would be using the truck in Colorado, and Stanley informed me he could arrange that, so we did. Throughout the purchase process, I had to send multiple payments due to bank limitations on daily transfer amounts, Stanley was patient, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable about the titling and registration process with moving the vehicle out of California. Oh, and he sold me the vehicle at a great price where he made money and I was extremely satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a GOOD, used vehicle.

Purchased an '06 F-250 with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel from Stan on 7/1/2024. The 4th of July holiday slowed transportation, so the truck arrived on 7/8/2024. Given the nature and reputation of the 6.0 powerstroke, naturally I was somewhat concerned about buying a truck sight unseen, but I trusted his reviews and eBay feedback and bought the truck.
Cosmetically, it wasn't quite as nice as it looked in the pictures. The bed isn't aligned with the cab, the front of the bed was pushed up against the cab, and the bed floor is caved in pretty good between the cross members. Running boards are also kinda messed up. I didn't buy it for cosmetics, and a 6600 dollar diesel truck in 2024 isn't going to be perfect. Just worth noting, and I wish I'd have seen pictures of that in the ad. Still would have bought the truck, but it's just an unpleasant surprise when you pay all that money for something and see that when it shows up.
Immediately after receiving the truck, I checked all the fluid levels - the coolant was very, very low - at least two gallons. I didn't want to mix types of coolant, so I drained as much coolant as I could out of the truck and replaced with new. Coolant in the truck appeared rusty, but not too bad. The truck is going go need the cooling system thoroughly flushed pretty soon, but it's not "world ending". I've driven the truck about 200 miles or so since I've gotten it, and it doesn't appear to be losing any coolant.
Changed the engine oil before driving it much just for my own reassurance. Engine oil dipstick was broken - new one from oReilly was 13 bucks.
I installed a Scangauge II to watch oil temps, coolant temps, ICP, etc. - all the stuff you need to watch on a 6.0 powerstroke, along with a pressure gauge in the top degas bottle line to check the condition of the headgaskets and EGR cooler. Everything checks out okay, knock on wood. ECT-EOT delta seems a little high. I'm sure the cooling system flush and oil cooler backflush will fix that.
After a couple days the A/C was blowing warm. The big brass core in the high pressure service port was leaking. It's a problem on this era of trucks apparently. I've only been around two, and they both had the issue. It's a brass core in an aluminum pipe and it corrodes between the two materials, and leaks all the refrigerant out. Also not a big deal, had it fixed in an evening and cost maybe 40 dollars for the refrigerant and new valve cores but I thought it was worth noting.
I think the truck is going to need glow plugs pretty soon. In southern California, you probably would never need them but in Iowa they're very critical.
Delivery of the vehicle was cumbersome to work around. Not really Stan's fault, just worth noting. Trucking is always tough to work around though, you have no idea when they're going to be there. They say they should be there x-day, at y-time, and something happens and they aren't. Hot shot rigs are no different, but the driver was nice enough to deal with.
Given the trucks condition, price, the minor repairs I've had to do, and things the truck is going to need in the near future, I'd give it an 8.5/10. Not quite as nice as it looked in the pictures, and it wasn't exactly "mechanically excellent" as Stan said, but my standards are really high. "Mechanically excellent" to me, means you can unload it from the trailer, and immediately put it to work with nothing whatsoever and that wasn't quite the case. But for it's age and price I would say it's very, very good. Very pleased with my experience overall and would buy again. Just wish I'd have known about the condition of the bed.

I will definitely purchase from him again as well as recommend anyone and everyone. The excursion came as described. He even shipped me a brand new set of tow mirrors to make the deal happen. Can’t thank him enough, looking forward to the next purchase from him.
