Was told I was good to do a walk in for emergency contraception and testing. Was turned away at the door despite me arriving at 2:25, when the person on the phone said all I had to do was be here before 330.

I had a scheduled appointment on 07/20 at 2:50pm and was told that they were available for a pap smear appointment. The girl at the front desk (Caucasian, tattoos, Medical assistant) was not professional. She also stated that if I had a pap done in the last couple yrs , I didn't need one and it was every 5 yrs. Additionally, I asked if I can get an STI screening done and she stated that I would have to wait an hour to get that done. This was just a waste of a drive and time. Won't be back anytime soon.

I am only writing this review as the medical assistant (Brittany P.) who was conducting my background questionnaire in a care room was extremely rude, unprofessional, aggressive, and abrasive. As soon as she left room, I burst into tears and directly gave my feedback to the nurse practitioner who treated me, who shared that this would be provided to the facility manager.
Brittany definitely needs additional training in trauma-informed care and her interpersonal skills. I also observe her rolling her eyes when needed to assist holding a door for a disabled patient who was wheelchair bound. If you don’t want to work in a helping career assisting people - find a job where your attitude will match.
I am only giving 2 stars because all the other staff members were kind, informative, and caring.

Everyone here is so nice and you can tell they really want to help you, I spoke to Yolanda and Mina today and they answered all my questions, no matter how unsure I was of myself, and they absolutely calmed my nerves. A totally welcoming environment that I will definitely come back to.
