The owner is very friendly, the prices are very reasonable and many things I found to actually be cheaper than the grocery store. Good place to stop if you just want some snacks or if you looking to pick up a bottle before heading home.

Sold me ice cream that was obviously melted then refrozen. Price of some products is high. Might as well walk to the supermarket.

Good service, good selection... Just a little tlc or a solid revamp to the front end of the store and we're good! It's a bit dated and the fold out table in front to put some additional distance between employees and customers just isn't the best look, but it is practical. Neil's is a small local convience store on the out skirts of Van Nuys in the city of Valley Glen that is always pretty stocked up. The have a surprisingly good selection of wine and a typical selection of essential beers and spirits. They have two lottery machines for scratches only and a great selection of snacks. The prices are fair... Maybe not the best, but very reasonable. I usually always have good service here, but it can get a little busy here as this is a lucky retailer where people do score nice prices off scratcher and the ca lotto. The staff is very much on top of social distancing and best health and safety practices. Small parking lot, but it's never too full. There is a fair amount of street parking closeby as well.
