I've been going here and seeing Dr. Rokaw for 15 years for my thyroid. He's always been great and took the time to explain everything. I just saw him last week and he informed me that I don't need to see him anymore because I don't need an endocrinologist at this point and my regular doctor can take over from now on with a yearly physical. I also found out that the office is closing and most of the doctors retiring.

I received a bill from Dr. Polisky and I have called the office at least 8 times to pay this bill. They are either on lunch, not open yet, and or I have left messages and no one calls me back. (818) 778-1920 is this still the correct number? Because I dont seem to get any calls back. Today, I called again and asked for the office manager and a person from the answering group named "Ron" was so rude and sarcastic when I started asking him questions. That office has the worst patients service that I have ever experienced. "Ron" refused to give me the office managers name and told me that my call was not an emergency and that I wasn't dying! I'm just beyond myself with how rude this people are.

The only reason for this rating is because of the staff. Dr Rokaw is so friendly and a great doctor but I had to stop going here because of the office staff. I received a bill 11 months after an office visit, I have tried to call several times to discuss but the billing person is only there between the hours of 9am-12pm Monday - Friday. I called at 10am on a Friday and she was out of office so I still could not get this resolved. How is anyone with an office job suppose to be able to call during these hours?

Every time I've been there, the office staff is nasty and rude. They are so negative, I feel I need a good sage and shower to get their stink of unhappiness off of me. They should act like professionals or the doctors should find replacements who are nice to their patients. People like this live small little lives, never taking responsibility for their own part in their miserable lives. I heard the one girl - who had just been talking about me to one of her co-workers tell someone on the phone they were being unprofessional. Wow - take a look in the mirror, girl. I told the doctor I would not be back. Their are plenty of doctors whose staff actually are professionals.

ALL the nurses at this office TURN OFF their phone/answering machine at 3 p.m. EVERY DAY! Their hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but EVERY DAY I call at 3:00 and the automated system says they're CLOSED?! I had gotten so angry that I DROVE all the way to the office at 3:30 to ask them why they ignore patients. After arriving to the office BEFORE their closing hours, THEY LOCKED THEIR DOORS. I am so angered by the way the nurses/receptionist treats patients, I will leave more reviews on Google and Yelp until they decide to NOT close earlier than the HOURS THEYRE PAID TO WORK.

I was a patient of Dr. Rokaw for a couple years, I couldn't stand going into his office for appointments, I was actually happy when covid came because I can make my appointments over the phone and not have to go in and deal with his unprofessional staff. Doctor Rokaw doesn't know what hes doing, hes old, he needs to retire, hes very rude and unprofessional, no different than his staff. His office manager Young, thinks nobody is above her, she thinks she can treat patients like crab, talk to them disrespectfully, yell at them, and hang up the phone on them, I brought this to Dr Rokaws attention several times and he did absolutely nothing about it, hes probably scared of her!! In addition to the office manager, there's Christina, Ron, Roger, and Myra, just to list a few that are extremely rude and unprofessional. I have no idea how they have a job at a doctor's office,They use profanity when they feel like they need too, they yell at you, they disrespect you, they call you out of your name, and they hang up on you when they want to. Everything about this office, starting from the doctor to his staff is absolutely disgusting, and I would advise you to stay away from there. What kind of doctor gives his staff permission to hang up on patients, be rude to them, and use profanity with them.

I rarely leave reviews and much less negative ones but I feel like this will be useful to a lot of patients. This was the first time coming to this office and I was to get a biopsy. The receptionist treated me terribly and was not to answer not one question. She yelled at me several times saying she wasn't there to answer the most basic front office questions. This happened infront of other patients in the waiting room and proceeded to run after me and threaten and assault me in the parking lot, her co-worker had ran after her and stood in between us. A patient sitting in the waiting room witness all of this and went outside to give me her number incase I needed a witness. What type of behaviour is this? I would think someone who works in the medical field would be professional and compansionate. None the less the office manager didn't care to listen when I called to complain. From the looks of this I'm not the only person who's been treated in this manner. This will not go on unnoticed because I plan on filing a complaint with the medical board and with attorneys. Aside from dealing with cancer, now I have been turned away and I'm a nervous wreck and haven't been able to sleep and need to find another provider. This place needs to hire a PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!

Please, do not go here unless you have no other choice!! I cannot stress how frustrating this office is to get ahold of by phone. They take a long lunch mid-day and seem to have some kind of "outside" answering service who can't make appointments or apparently do anything. Finally, today was the last straw and I had to voice my opinion somewhere, hence this review. I called at 3:50 pm and it kept going to a busy signal. I kept calling over and over until it finally went to their greeting that says no one was available but they accept calls until 4:00. It let me press 0 to speak to that answering service around 3:53 pm. The woman said the office closed at 4:00 and I'd have to call back tomorrow. I said it wasn't 4:00 yet and she said "yeah sometimes they close the phone lines when it gets busy close to 4:00." How is this acceptable, especially in the medical field? Is the office staff abusing the privilege they have to just turn off their phone lines at will? I would expect there to be oversight into this kind of system, but the fact that I've been dealing with these same issues for years tells me this goes all the way to the top. If anyone from this office's administration happens to read this review, I hope they can get their act together and either hire enough staff to answer the phones or reform their phone answering system.
