I had 6 garage door companies quote and "Garage Doors & Gates 4 less" had the best pricing, the most professional rep and quote experience. The install is exactly the look I was going for. Good install quality, classy look, friendly installers, and the motors are super quiet. I've been getting compliments for weeks now from neighbors I've never even met. A nice surprise was the quality of the technology in the package. My new belt driven motors came with bluetooth, App technology and best of all cameras that automatically keep an eye on the comings and goings in my garage. It's hard these days finding and dealing with various contractors, its a real a shady business, exponentially so in garage doors but "Garage Doors & Gates for Less" is the exception, a very refreshing focus on good customer service which I really appreciated; Erik and their team are the real deal, incredibly kind and trustworthy people. We had a wonderful experience with Garage Doors and Gates 4 Less. Erick came out the same week I called for an estimate, was prompt and timely. The price was significantly lower than every other company I called. Erick ordered the door I selected quickly and it was installed the following week. Erick kept me updated throughout the process, letting me know when the installer was on his way and when he would be finished. Communication was stellar and they were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

These folks are as good as it gets. River has serviced my garage door in the past and knows his trade well, but he understands customers even better. Today, his protégé, River, came by to replace the springs and tune-up the door. Stuart definitely hired the right guy! This tech deserves a raise! He was professional, quick with the quality repair and helpful with tips to keep the door running smoothly. I got a fair price and River even offered to help me put items back into the garage before he left. Kudos and Thank You!!! I recommend them without hesitation. Support local, small businesses like Garage door and gate 4less. All these 5-star reviews can't be wrong - I just wish they offered other home services!!!

Same as a previous review. Made an appointment and they were a no show. Called 3 times to find out what was going on, each time the receptionist said she would check and call me right back...and never did. The last time I just didn't bother calling them back again. Got a text from the estimator after 9pm apologizing for a misunderstanding. Does that explain why the receptionist totally blew me off and didn't call me back 3 times over a 2 hour period while we were waiting around for them? Not a contractor I would ever consider using if that's how they treat their customers.

2nd time they have been out. Work has been good BUT when service guy did his thing inside garage while I was outside and then came out with a $800 bill I was surprised. Never gave me an estimate, he replaced 2 springs at $305 each. $190 in labor, less than an hour. I made calls to other companies and am confident that I was overcharged for the springs. I'm sorry that I cannot support this local business any more. Have to click one star to post this but would click none if I could

It's very sad that Garage Doors and Gates 4 less is so unreliable! I had an appointment today in Marina Del Rey from 9-11 am for an estimate ... knowing that I would be driving 2 hours into town to meet their estimator, I called yesterday to re-confirm. At 10:30 I called to see where their guy, Daniel or Erik, was and I was told no one was going to meet me onsite... that Daniel had called in sick ( and no one was rescheduled to meet me ). Reliability and dependability is everything to me when it comes to contractors, as I own dozens of properties throughout SoCal.... I will not be using them in the future and recommend against scheduling an estimate with them as they just might leave you hanging ....

They installed 2 new garage door and motors and the corresponding switch buttons. We've had the new doors and openers for about 6 months now, and they have been great. Fast service, very straightforward with the work they did and the products they offered. High quality work - would absolutely recommend to neighbors, friends, family. Thank you!

I have been using garage door and gate 4less services for several years yet this is my first review. Today, River was able to service a remote problem, the same day that I called. He was pleasant and fortunately was able to fix the problem by resetting the remote. I was not even charged for the call.This is a fine company to deal with.

I had an issue with my Garage door. Called Garage Door and Gate 4less. They showed up fast and on time. The Technician assessed the problem and offered the solution. Once I approved, the Technician started the repair. The door was fixed and worked perfectly. The cost was very reasonable and worth everything. I am so happy with the services, professional performance, cost, timelines, and the outcome of my experience. Hence, I highly recommend Garage Door and Gate 4less

River is simply incredible! My husband noticed the problem with our garage door as he was leaving to do errands, by the time he's back it's fixed! He is very knowledgeable in his trade & does the job really quick. He does not push any job but gives recommendations for the future. As he was leaving, my husband arrived & he took the time to explain to my husband what was done. Our garage door is much quieter now too. Thank you very much River. We can spend without any worries.

My gate needed servicing at a time I could not be at home, Ovi technician examined my gate and assured me he can fix it, parts had to be ordered and he fixed the next day. I stressed to fix same day. Ovi said I didn't have to be home for him to fix it. A man of his word. When I returned home the gate worked perfect. I was very satisfied with his work. I would recommend to others.Thank youMarcella

Called and requested a quote to install 2 side mount garage doors openers. Was given a rough quote of $750ea. When the written quote came through it was now $1790. We inquired what the additional $290 was for they played d*** and acted like they didn't formally quote us at all. They re-sent the quote but it was now for $2390! They tried to claim this was the only quote they gave us until we showed them a screen shot of the quote for $1790. When called out for this their explanation was that the initial quote was discounted on the assumption that we were getting doors installed too. I asked why the doors weren't on that same quote to justify the imaginary discount and she had no explanation. I went on to inquire about a breakdown of the quote, noting that retail for the parts was $1050, implying labor for a couple hour job would be $1340. She said "we have no breakdown it's all one price." Wouldn't verify hourly rates or time estimates. Very argumentative and aggressive. Needless to say we decided not to proceed.

I hired Garage Doors & Gates 4 Less to repair a garage door after sending them a video of the broken door -which had a break at the top beam. After their alleged "repair" the garage door no longer closed 100% since there are gaps on the sides that were not there before their "repair." Irene in the office admitted that the door would no longer close completely and that I should pay them anyway for the work done. I said I would be happy to pay them in full when the door would close entirely, as it did before their "repair." Moreover, I attempted to escalate it to the contractor and she would not even allow me to speak to him! She then proceeded to threaten me with filing a lien for non-payment of a repair that was not completed properly. Not good. I tried to upload photos but the system would not allow me to do so!

Our garage door was pretty old and began falling apart. It was time to get the door replaced. After getting an extremely unreasonable quote from another company my husband reached out to this company. Eric came out and took the time to explain why replacing it was an important thing to do sooner rather than later. With a more reasonable quote, we scheduled our appointment. They replaced our door and we couldn't be happier.Great customer service and quality work and product!
