We had a good experience buying coins here. Javier was professional, kind, and patient with our questions. He took time to explain the details of each coin variety we considered, and he showed us various options. He polished our coins, as well. We would return again to Continental Coin & Jewelry.

About the worst appraisal. I've been to cheaper establishments that offered me way more for my product . I strongly recommend skipping this place and it's waste of time . I would never sell my items to them . Very very cheap people who only want the best for them . Seriously do t waste your time on them . I brought names like . Chrome hearts and bill wall and would offer 70 dollars lmao . I can get 499 from the cheapest pawn shop . And I heard them low balling other folks with their pathetic talks of resell omg. Bad place to go . Take your belongings somewhere else . I brought 5000 dollars worth and they sayd 70 dollars i was like why waste my breath . I know what I bought . Legit items . It's insult . To many I say go to your local pawn shop . Skip them .

So yesterday a mosquito bit my finger that had a ring on it and couldn't get the ring off. Tried everything that Google recommended, oil, aloe vera, soap, lotion but the finger was so swollen I couldn't get it off. Nisim calmed me down told me it happens all the time with eldery folks and he was able to cut the ring off with pliers after another jewlery shop failed. I felt so grateful I wanted to hug him for removing my misery but he insisted there was no charge and his payment was seeing me happy. All the other staff were immensely helpful and concerned and customer service was so spectacular despite the circumstance I will for sure be going there for my next jewlery purchase, they've earned my future business 100%!!!!!

Very unpleasant experience: Only female painting appraiser was polite. The yamika-wearing associate was patronizing and rude to me. Telling me one item I brought in was worth $100, but he wouldn't buy it from me and then insulted me because I wasn't smiling. I don't recommend this place for women. My husband didn't help me because he went back to the car. I'm probably not going there again.

Continental Coin & Jewelry uses a vulgar display of shady business practices. Like they're heavyset employee Jennifer, who undercut the market value of gold and diamonds not willing to offer the going rate. Then she has the gall to ask you to donate your merchandise once you've turned down her low-balled offer for your gold and diamonds. People! Consider other avenues don't let this company rip you off. They have a long-standing reputation of screwing their customers.

They are some pretty straight forward no BS kind of place. I’ve brought in a couple items which were of pretty high value, they were honest enough to tell me that they couldn’t match the price I’d get at another specific business. Other times they’ve even talked me out of selling something, advising I wait as the value will increase. Sure enough, they were right. Respectful and righteous. In fact, the first time I went in there, I couldn’t help but linger at every counter just looking at everything, they did not mind at all. I wish I could remember the gentleman’s name who approached and struck up some convo with me detailing some of the pieces and answering some of my questions knowing full well that I was just looking. Big thanks.

They waste your time totally. The price I call for the gold price to sell and the price their offer to buy on the site is a totally different game. I understand they need to make a profit and I am very reasonable to lower my expectations. But they play too much and are too nasty. I just walk out!! They tear you down if you behave honestly and respectfully.-Please stop misleading the readers. While initially, I walked in and even allowed your lower price at the site. The final price was lowered again by you at the last minute. As a result, I decided to walk out and take my Gold bars to S/M Gold in Studio City nearby. To my satisfaction, I received $2,550 more due to their recognition of the superb condition of my gold bars. I appreciate your gritty tactic turned to my benefit. I am so glad I did not sell my bars at your place.

This is an exquisite place to visit. In addition the appraisal Javier provided for my mother's jewelry was professional and complete. He used all the equipment available for his appraisal. I went to three different Jewelry companies before visiting Continental Coin and Jewelry. The most I was given was a cursory glance at what I set before them. Javier also spent time with me for a mini tutorial on the difference between stones v gold when appraising jewelry and how to check the gold market before selling my jewelry. This is the place to go for appraisals. SDB

A while ago I had purchased a few gold and silver coins from Continental Coin & Jewelry. I was happy with the service and my purchase at the time.My aunt decided to retire, sell her house, and almost everything in it and move to Greece. She was having a very difficult time getting someone good and trustworthy to hold an estate sale. She got very disappointed and felt very vulnerable with people saying one thing and end up doing something else. I suggested to call and/or visit Continental Coin & Jewelry and did so.Without any hesitation it was the best decision she made. We were greeted by Jennifer and then Javier. Not only we received great service and guidance by Jennifer, Javier, Jeff, and the owner, but also my aunt got by far a better value for her things (almost 30% more) and did not have to pay the 35% or 40% fee to the estate liquidator. Not only they helped us in the store on Sepulveda, but also came to my aunt's house to see and assist her with the rest of the things including antique furniture, artwork and piano. They were not able to make an offer on everything but Jennifer guided her as to where to go and what to do next, which was a very kind & thoughtful.Truly truly exceptional service. Thank you Jennifer for all your efforts.I highly recommend Continental Coin & Jewelry for your coin and jewelry needs. They have high quality coins, diamonds and gold jewelry for every occasion.
