Overall, this isn't a bad store. Thankfully, they got did away with the late-night self-checkout only experiment. The staff is always polite and the store is usually well-stocked. Area to improve: Provide your cashiers with stools and allow them to sit during their shifts. I promise we won't think they're lazy if they're sitting. We'll think you're a caring company that is setting a good example for other stores.

LINES LINES LINES LINES. Holy sh*t. 16 customers in front of me with only one single lane open. This store is worse than North Hollywood, and I thought that was impossible.

James has lost all control of his store there is 20 people trying to check out and only one cashier the other lanes that are open are self check out I guess the only ones working are the customers

There's a very rude employee at this location. Everyone is nice except him. He has issues with Hispanics and treats them with disrespect. His name is Gary he is usually at the self check out.

I don't know what it is. Maybe the employees here are just not motivated, but I always have issues with the customer service here. This is not the first time. Sometimes that when I'm asking for something, the answer is I don't know."" If we have it, it's on, isle 5. Sometimes, I don't know what the item is. I ask if you can show me the product? He answered that I don't do that or that this is not my job, etc. I work with an adult who's schizophrenic and very compulsive. He likes one gift card when he gives me 2. I asked the cashier if he could check the balance of the gift card, and he responded that I couldn't do that. You just have to swipe it and I know it's bs because every other Ralph's location checks the gift card and I've even asked A manager at another location are all Ralph's employees authorized to check a gift balance before I ring up the sale? The manager said yes, so I came back here today. I asked if they could check the balance before I swiped. The employee said no i'm not authorized."" I went to the manager, and she checked it for me after I bought the items, and when I told her what happened, she treated it like he just didn't know what to do. Maybe the employees here aren't motivated. But this is not the first time things like this happened. I remember I asked an employee for assistance at the self checkout stand he helped me reluctantly, then seemed disappointed, saying that because he had to help me, a shop lifter got away with merchandise. A cleaning of house might do some good for this location

Worst customer service ever !!!!! You guys need to be closed . Hispanic lady on the flower desk was an absolute nightmare !!! Very disrespectful , rude , and 0 skills. You need to get fired asap !!!! Never coming back there unless shes gone !!!! Very unprofessional !!!

They have what you need, except for cashiers. It's saturday morning Andrew there are TWO cashiers. Self checkout is not open. Come on, management, do you not realized saturday is the busiest day of the week?

Ralphs is Ralphs- nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be. Clean store, helpful employees, nice flower selection, self-checkout actually work, plenty of parking, it's open late, taco stand just outside- it's Van Nuys so don't start nothing won't be nothing!

I had the worst experience this morning at this ralphs When I got ready to pay I found my wallet was not in my purse so I let the self check out attendant know that I did not have my wallet and I would be right back. When I came back no one could be located and my items were gone when I inquired at the managers booth she pointed to the person responsible and everyone looked puzzled and so I said you don't want my business and left. The worst customer service from Management ever!

I'm usually a big fan of cakes at Ralphs. I was sooooooo disappointed with my son's birthday cake. The only reason I chose to order a cake at this Ralphs was bc the character I wanted wasn't available at the other Ralphs I usually go to. First of all, I had a hard time getting through to anyone at the store. I even called a customer service line to see if they could help me with my online order and even they couldn't get through to anyone at the store. All I was told was there was something wrong with their line and to keep trying to call back as they will email the store manager about the issue. Wow, just wow!!!! It took 2 days to finally get a hold of someone at the bakery. I don't remember the name of the man who I was talking to, but I asked him if they could write Happy Birthday on the cake as I failed to write that in my online order (Hence the reason why I kept calling the store). He seemed to have "written" my message down. The day came for the pick up and sure enough, nothing was written on the cake. The cake was dry and the frosting was hard as a rock! The design definitely did not look like the Spiderman advertised. Worst experience ever!!!!!

This is like the best Ralphs in the Valley. Might not be located in the best of neighborhoods, But its a well organized and clean Ralphs store. Visiting here several times recently i am happy with the service and shopping at this Ralphs. Fresh produce and breads everyday. Huge store with so many items. Nice people that work here. They hire some intimidating security guards, But they make me feel safe. Great store, always a pleasure to visit when im in the area.

I believe the most important criterion for evaluating a store's customer service is how problems are handled. The one item I was buying rang up incorrectly at self checkout. The employee Boris overseeing these registers had such a great, friendly attitude and was very helpful. After we checked the price tag, he fixed the price for me. Then as I was paying in cash, the machine had an issue, the cash function quit working, and my transaction was moved to another register.During this entire interaction with Boris, other customer kept asking him questions. I was impressed how he kept his cool and helped us all in a quick manner.I have seen many employees get flustered, upset, and/or angry in situations like this (I personally would have snapped at them, called them entitled, and told them to wait their turn). So, just wanted to give a shout-out to Boris and say that this level of service influences where I choose to spend my money.

I like shopping at Ralph's, they have really good selections of fresh fruits and veggies. Pricier than most groceries but have better and fresher selections so that's fair enough. I gave them 3 stars because of their digital coupons and buy 5 to get the discounts, it is so confusing especially for boomers like us so most of the time they charge you for the regular price and not the sale price which to me is unfair for us consumers who are not tech savvy. Please make your app easier and don't lead us to false advertising, thank you
