I had a hard time looking for the perfect company to help me out, luckily PacRat was the solution. I had moved from Texas to California 1month ago and they helped me out with everything. They made the process easy and effective, the manager was super helpful and explained everything to me and they had great deals. The driver that helped me out that day was super nice. Glad i made the move with them and glad to say im closer to family because of them. I HIGHLY recommend them to make ur stress to stress free. If i could i would give more stars, i would definitely contract them again.

Pack Rat is awesome! From the reservation, to the local coordinator to the delivery and pick up folks, all were focused on reducing the stress of a challenging move and getting things done as as smoothly as possible. Highly recommend!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I was attracted by their fair pricing so I decided to book them for my cross country move from California to Connecticut. Dropping off the container in my driveway was the only one good service by this company, then everything went downhill. We did our best packing the container 24 hours before pick-up scheduled this afternoon. Driver puts the crane and attempts to lift the container, then says it is overweight and 2,000 lbs need to be unloaded. I have had multiple conversations with this company initiated by me since making the reservation 4 months ago. NOT ONCE did they ever say that there is a weight limit on the container.
We proceeded to unload 2,000 lbs from the container within 15 minutes. The driver LEFT. He didn’t even say a word, he just left. We called 1800 packrats to tell them we are ready for the container to be picked up and they said the driver can’t come back and the soonest it will be picked up is Monday, 3 days from today. We were set to drive cross country tomorrow…and now we are set back 3 whole days!!! We called the company many times, and all they can do is say “sorry” and offer another container which costs another $5,000…and no. They can not give discounts or any reimbursement.
Moving is stressful to begin with, especially when you are moving with your family. And I truly regret putting my trust in this company for my moving needs. Please….learn from my experience and AVOID THEM. I ended up canceling my reservation as I found another moving company…and of course, 1-800 packrats is charging me $250 for drop off and pick up of the container that I am not even using, and I have unnecessarily wasted time and energy loading, unloading and for me to load to another container.

Recently moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and was recommended by a friend to try PackRat. I have nothing but great things to say about the Van Nuys warehouse. They truly went above and beyond and made sure all of my questions were answered and were prompt on everything. The team there really took great care of me. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who's looking for a reliable means of transporting their belongings. Thank you guys. You were amazing.

The lie about storage cost. $120 a month quote leads to $400+ a month bill.When you ask for delivery they say they cant because they are too busy and end up keeping your stuff until the next month charge begins.Then they charge a delivery fee but they don't deliver they say the driver could not deliver the stuff and charge you the fee anyways.Finally they made me come and pick up all my stuff and load it onto a truck to get shipped to my new house.Wasted thousands of dollars with the horrible company never using them again what a headache. The whole company is incompetent and looking for a reason to do nothing. They said they could not deliver because there was no parking but my 3 cars were blocking 3 spaces for them all they had to do was say we are here and I move my cars.Finally they refused to deliver and made me come pick up my stuff after I paid them thousands in fees

This is a company that participates in fraudulent behavior, among other things they are in the practice of charging when they do not do the work. Run do not walk from this company. They were a nightmare from start to finish. They will leave you on hold for hours and cancel pickups and drop offs with no explanation. They have cost us $1000 in fees for not coming in time with no apologies. We had to extend our lease on our home and deal with threats from neighbors as a result of the company leaving the pod in the wrong location. It is worth paying the small amount extra to use any other option.

They never showed up to pick up our pod. Our escrow is closing tomorrow and they never bothered to call or show today. Even after we called to confirm it the night before. You can only reach them at 1800PACKRAT which is a call center. The call center told us we were skipped them they told us the truck broke down. You never can speak to the local office to find out what’s going on. So I have a pod, escrow closing tomorrow, a hotel reservation that I’m not going to be able to make (it was prepaid) and this company doesn’t have the courtesy to even call you. Don’t be fooled by the reasonable prices. I’d gladly pay a couple thousand more for peace of mind and professional service. This company is awful.

Complete garbage! Never on time and made serveral excuses , overcharged for mileage for a local 1hr move. Nearly 2600.00 for a 45mile drive. The local facility would not make the drive because it was considered "long distance" so they had to call the outside service facility to backhaul and pick up the container because that's where the service area was LMAO! What a freaking Joke! Do not use this garbage business!
