My boyfriend and I began our custom engagement ring journey not fully knowing what we were getting ourselves into. Recommended by a co-worker, we stopped by Beverly hills Jewelers as our first stop, anticipating this to be be one of many places we were going to visit that day. But that's about as far as we made it.

After just a few minutes of chatting with Nikki, she was already helping us navigate all the little nuances of selecting a ring style and design. She took the time to truly understand what we were trying to create, and before we knew it, we were putting down a deposit.

It only took two additional meetings (and lots of helpful texts) with Nikki, for us to finalize the design. We just picked up the finished ring a couple of weeks ago and it exceeded our expectations. Always feel the customer service is approached in an institutional manner, and geared towards the companies profit margins rather than customer satisfaction. When I met Vesana I was blown away with her attention to detail combined with her desire to have a piece fit the receiving persons meaningful intention. My fiancé and I decided to ring shop together for our wedding proposal and didn’t know where to even begin.
To begin research, we ran a visit to the dtla jewelry district planning to roam around the shops and figure out what color/carat/size fits me the most. Within the DTLA jewelry district we ran across the Mark Broumand shop and decided to step in and see because we recall a couple that got married recently and told us that they got their ring at Mark Broumand as well.
Unlike other wedding ring stores, they were welcome for walk-ins, we did not have to make a prior reservation which is great considering that we had to make an appointment at another ring shop in Melrose previous to this experience. Little did we know that we would be stepping in Mark Broumand and walking out with the decision to purchase our ring from here. Most importantly, upon 1st visit I was able to communicate what color, size, carat I would like b/c they already have so many options to offer in store and they were able to bring in sample settings&stones according to what suits me for the 2nd visit so it was easy to visualize what the final product would be! Versus the other shop I had to make an appointment at Melrose unfortunately did not have much to show on their showcase.
At Mark Broumand, Savannah was our sales representative. Super sweet, very knowledgeable and makes sure that you are informed with everything that you need to know.

“I went shopping with a friend to various stores in the Jewelry District. Eli was the only one who invested time to get to know a little about me, the reason for shopping, and treating me as a person rather than trying to sell me an engagement ring right away. Eli definitely knows the value of building a first impression that remains with you as you compare other vendors to his level of service. Eli invested his time to explain the 4 C's, show how each C looks like by comparing a high-grade diamond to a low-grade one. In addition, Eli has many analogies that are funny and also convincing. Lastly, Eli weighed options to consider when purchasing a diamond to help you be a savvy shopper and make an informed decision on your engagement ring purchase. One example, many customers tend to focus on the grade-scale rather than how the diamond actually looks when mounted on a ring. Why spend, for example, $8k on an engagement ring with a high-grade rating when you purchase one for half the price. If you're looking at both rings and both shine similarly, who will know the difference or tell what quality it is with the naked eye? Analogies like this were things he pointed out which assisted me to make a decision on the final purchase. Overall, amazing experience, did not feel obligated to purchase on the first visit, like a car salesman. His customer-centric approach overshadowed the other vendors we visited. We'll definitely be recommending him to friends and we'll be returning to purchase our wedding bands in a couple months.”

“I literally cannot stop looking at my ring! Philip made my dream ring come to life, and it's a million times better than what I had imagined! No one, I mean no one, does this kind of work. Just about all jewelry these days is cookie cutter crap that is mass produced in Asia. Philip, and his very long standing team, are true artists, and passionately hand make everything in house. Philip made my original engagement ring, which was an Art Deco masterpiece! It had 60 plus diamonds, and not one fell out after 10 years. My husband and I just celebrated a big anniversary, and decided it was time for an upgrade, which ended up being a completely new stone and setting. You would think, based on location and appearance, that Philip Press would be astronomically high in price, but it's actually the best value you will get for your money. And he is open and respectful of working with all budgets. He's also a pretty cool guy, and you will probably find an hour plus flying by while hanging out. We will never go elsewhere!
