All of the standard pumpkin patch activities but they really price gouge you more than others in the area. For 2 kids to do 4 activities and get a snack you will spend more than $100. Didn't even get pumpkins. In the pumpkin patch half of the pumpkins were smashed and rotten. They don't both cleaning it up. I think others in the area are better.

Been going here for 50 years. Pleasant drive, nice location and store. The fudge itself is worth the drive. If you go in October, go early. It gets pretty nuts. Go when they have something else going on like craft fairs / art shows, etc. Remember, feed the animals!
Okay. Here is an update. I DID forget how crazy it is in October. I also forgot about the $10 parking charge. I won't do that again, and unless you have children or out-of-towners, neither should you. Go in the off season. Parking is free then, but don't expect to see any animals. They may be gone. The enclosures are gone as well. Bummer.

A great working farm with animals and year round activities. We always go in October when they have a giant and regular pumpkin patch plus white, blue, fairytale and various decorative gords. They have tractor rides, corn maze, pony rides, face painting, food vendors and their famous shop with preserves, nuts, dried fruit, fudge and candy. It's a lot of fun and an annual tradition for many families. Arrive early for less crowds.

I absolutely love this place! For the past five years, I’ve been bringing my wife and kids here every Halloween season. The first thing that drew us in was their impressive Big Mac pumpkins, and after that first visit, I knew this place would become a cherished family tradition.
Beyond their seasonal vendors, Bates Nut Farm has so much to offer. Their farm store, open year-round, is a gem, and the small animal area where you can feed the animals is always a hit with the kids. They also host multiple events throughout the year; during one visit, we even adopted a pet rabbit, who has since become a beloved part of our family.
Thank you, Bates Nut Farm, for being the place where my family and I can make wonderful memories year after year.

A huge pumpkin patch to visit with a variety of activities for the kids and some food vendors. Not a bunch of choices but enough to choose from. They have a large parking lot and it is pretty organized. It is on a dirt lot so don’t bring your fancy car. Everything is pretty spread out so wear walking shoes.
They have plenty of portable bathrooms but also have a restroom at the main shop that says “Bates Nut Farm” so if you have little ones, you could take them there. It is a bathroom with no vents or windows though.
You need to buy tickets for the activities but there are shades, benches and live music you could enjoy for free as well. So if you have someone who just wants to tag along and not spend any $ that will be fine too. Bring water bottles because I didn’t see any water stations.

There were tons of people there for the pumpkin patch, which was well stocked with pumpkins of all sizes. Lots of food trucks and crafts for kids. Dirt parking, so don't wash your car before going. All the staff were really nice even with the crowds.
