Fantastic refurbishers. Not cheap, prefer cash, but wow! I had a Rocker all redone and ten a 30s oak table and chairs. One more chair to go! Highly recommend.

I have a set of bedroom furniture, dating from the late eighteen hundreds to early nineteen hundreds. The set has been in my family for four generations.In the early seventies my mother attempted to refinish the furniture. She used a process where the furniture was painted, followed by a stain applied with cheesecloth. The results were disastrous. Years later, she stripped the furniture and stained it. It looked much better, but not great. I've had the furniture since the mid-eighties. I've always wanted to have it professionallyrestored. Around 1995, my wife received an old rocking chair. Horse hair filling, hand carved wood. A dog had chewed off one of the leg ends. We took it to Tony's refinishing in Vallejo. The work Tony performed was beautiful.Fast forward twenty-eight years. I now want to refinish the bedroom set. I called Tony's furniture and spoke with his son Berkeley. I was sad to learn off his father passing away. I told Berkeley I was interested in having the bedroom set refinished along with an oriental coffee table and end tables. The oriental set had an insane amount of relief carving on the tabletop surfaces.I sent Berkeley photos of the pieces we wanted refinished. He promptly gave us a price that he stood by. The work that Berkeley and his crew performed was nothing short of fantastic. The dresser set was completely rebuilt. The drawers no longer bind, they slide in and out freely. No more sawdust on the clothes in the drawer below. The bedroom pieces each had beveled mirrors. Over the years, the original vertical wooden mounts were lost. Berkeley fabricated new wooden mirror mounts that replicated the originals, and replaced the mirrors with new beveled glass. It looks fantastic.The oriental table set had been refinished by my wife's father many years ago. Again, not such a good job. My wife chose a black stain for the set. I didn't think this was a good choice. However, when we went over to Berkeley's to check on the progress, I was very impressed with the black stain. It really looks good. This set was also rebuilt, and had new beveled glass installed. Berkeley offered different finish options and showed stain samples on the wood. Throughout the process he kept us up to date. I would highly recommend Berkeley and his crew at Tony's furniture refinishing.Small businesses like this that offer a rare service that is hard to come by, along with a personal level, are few and far between.

Superb store, Superb service. I needed some new furniture to set up a playroom and Berkeley had the perfect pieces. They refinished them for me and did a beautiful job. They even delivered it to my house. I cannot say enough about how professional they were and how kind. My father died right in the middle of the process and they really accommodated me through this. I have loved this store for many years and I love it even more.

What a gem this place is! Berkley and Hymie are super talented and clearly take pride in their work. They took in a beat up wobbly old table of ours and turned it into a beautiful contemporary dining room table in time for Thanksgiving dinner. All our friends and family were amazed, kept saying they couldn't believe it was the same table. It's so solid now that I think it'll become an heirloom. You won't regret taking your furniture here. Having grown up in his dad's store, Tony of Tony's Furniture, Berkley has the kind of knowledge and skill you build over a lifetime and don't find much anymore. So glad Tony's is still here in Vallejo.

My mom had an old dresser she wanted to give me, and she took it here to have it polished up. Wow! They did such a great job! The finish is gorgeous, all the drawers open nicely (they were quite clunky before), and they repaired some areas where the wood was extremely warn down. The dresser always had locks, but we never had the key, and they even made us a key for the dresser. Talk about going above and beyond. I highly recommend. I can't say for sure because I didn't get to go to the shop, but my mom mentioned they also had some very beautiful antique furniture for sale that they had fixed up.

Tony did an amazing job restoring my grandmother's dining room set. He replaced chipped details on the legs and refinished the table, 8 chairs and sideboard. They are gorgeous.

We took two chest of drawers that had been antiqued in the 60's and had them restored to natural wood. Could not be happier with the results. Tony and his son are fine craftsmen and the whole staff was great. Outstanding

Tony restored 6 wood dining chairs for me. They were my husband's grandmother's. Tony believed they were from the 20s or 30s! He also said they were made from walnut. Not only did I get fine craftsman work from Tony, but also knowledge I would have never known without his expert assessment of my chairs. He took them apart, re-sanded, re-glued, and restrained and sealed. He also mended a broken leg brace. I couldn't even tell which chair was the broken one when he was done! He also replaced the chair backings. Everything looked better than new, and stronger than ever. He also has an associate that reupholster, and his craftsmanship equates to Tony's. I am so happy with the overall final product. And Tony's pricing is fair and worth every penny. I will be able to use these chairs now to the fullest, and pass them down to the next generation. Tony made this possible.

I have been using Tony to repair and/or restore my family heirlooms for at least 30 years. This review is LONG overdue. He is an artisan and a craftsman. Over the years, I have taken at least 10 items to him and each time he has restored the piece better than I could have imagined. While transporting a desk I recently bought, one of the legs broke. I was just sick about it until I realized Tony can fix anything...so guess where I am heading this week?

Great place! Tony does an amazing job refinishing furniture. We have taken him several pieces and wow!! He is very knowledgeable about antiques and a true craftsman!!!! I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for furniture refinishing and he also has a lot of great antiques for sale !!

I took a buffet that I recently inherited in to Tony's shop because we discovered a broken leg when we picked it up from my grandma's home. Tony was careful to show me the damage, outline the type of repair he wanted to do and assured me it would be done correctly. Fast forward about a week.. my piece is perfect. I cannot tell where the repair was done and he refurbished the entire piece while he was at it! It looks gorgeous. He gave me careful instructions about how to care for it and even showed me some of the projects he is currently working on in his shop. I left with the realization that I was speaking with a real artist, old school trained and really good at what he does. I am completely satisfied with the transaction.
