This place is better than a couple other places here in town. I would recommend to friends as well as travelers.
Noteworthy details: Has close access to I-80 freeway. Also Discovery Kingdom (Marine World).

Do NOT stay here!!! Booked 1 night in August. Got to the room after wandering around outside trying to find it. Puddle of urine outside of our room. Menacing dog down the hall. Smell of marijuana. Questionable residents. Did not feel safe! Couch was FILTHY!! Room outdated. Stayed about 2 minutes. Went to the desk and asked for a refund. The clerk said he would refund my money but never did!! I’ve stayed in many Best Western hotels - can’t believe they have their name on this location!!!

We had to change rooms 3 times. The first room the bathtub was full of dirty water. The second room had a lot of cigarette smoke, but the third room was fine.

My room had mouse poop on the beds. And I keep feeling like I was being bit. My family members room had moldy bread under the bed. Also looked like their bedding had not been cleaned. The cover had crusty white spots on it.We obviously didnt stay, and when we went to get a refund, the Manager came in yelling, was belligerent and very unperfessional.Rooms: Dirty, smelly, mold in bathroom, dirt and hair piled in corners of bathroom. NOT at ALL like the pictures on line.Nearby activities: Only thing positive about this place is the location to six flags.Safety: Did not feel safe at all. Door had been kicked in before and my safety lock was not fixed. Homeless camp very close to hotel, shady characters in the parking lot of the hotelNoteworthy details: Mouse poop on my bed. Moldy food under family members bed. Bedding looked and smelled dirty on family members bed. My bed felt like it had a bunch of crumbs on it. List goes on and onManager will yell in your face and try to intimidate you for asking for a refund.

This place was terrible!!! I'm still baffled at how bad it was! They assign us a room which by the way was supposed to be non smoking. As soon as we open the door we are knocked in the face with a heavy smoke smell. We go to tell them and they got attitude with us and give us the room next to the original one which still smelt by the way. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, a few bugs crawling on the clean towels. Then at 4am someone with a key actually came into our room!!!! We yelled and he was like sorry, security! Like what the actual hell!? NEVER AGAIN.

Vallejo is not known for being a nice city. It is impoverished with a lot of drugs, homeless, gangs, violence, and theft. I work in the area from time to time, so I see all of this. I took a chance with this hotel, but by far this is probably the worst area and place I have stayed. There is really only one good hotel in this town and it's not this one. After check in I parked my rental car only to see 2 prostitutes (almost naked) strung out stumbling out of their car, which they parked diagonally in the undercover parking. They staggered upstairs to their room. I noticed later that they came and went; probably the same car that sideswiped my rental car.The parking area reeks of urine from where the homeless and druggies make a pit stop. While navigating the property, some thug, high on something, with 2 pitbulls off a leash was walking around the property randomly pointing a toy gun in different directions. Lots of yelling and arguing on the property. Plus it looks like a lot of people use this place as a residence. One door looked kicked in, which doesn't look difficult to do.The room looks nothing like the pictures; run down, more like a cheap motel in ghetto, which pretty much it is. The bathroom has been lazily maintained, gaps in the caulking, holes where there is none. Water pressure in the shower sucks. Hot water depends on the time of day when everyone else in the adjacent rooms hasn't used all of it. I took a cold shower last night before work. The smoke detector has a plastic bag wrapped around it. I guess they want this place to burn down with the local riff raff in it.The breakfast is a joke. Cheap products, nothing nutritional. There's a dispenser for juice and one that makes coffee-like liquid. There were no coffee cups, just the small clear thin see-through plastic cups for the juice. There were coffee lids, but no cups. So basically I'd burn my hands and the heat from the coffee would cause that juice cup to collapse on itself and probably melt.I work nights and kept the "DO-NOT-DISTURB" sign on the door. At 10AM while asleep, I hear knocking on the door. I yelled out for them to go away. Not long after I hear a key in the door. I swing the door open and point at the sign on the door. Housekeeping apologized, stating the front desk wanted them to open the door. Perhaps the front desk expects people with 2wk stays to be found dead in their rooms after 3 days, even those with a luxury car rental.I've been around the ghettos long enough to know how to deal with it. This place was cheap, so I deal with it especially since I'm not actually on property long, but I'll probably check out early because it's a total ****hole. I take all of my valuables with me when I leave because as I said, the doors are cheap and there are gaps in them as well, a child could kick the door down.Thugs, prostitutes, gangsters, and meth heads...this is your spot.

When we got to our room we saw the TV was on, unsure if we had the correct room we double-checked the paperwork and tried the key card, which did open the door. Once inside the TV was on and appeared someone had propped up a pillow to watch TV. It was so late we just made sure that door was locked and secure. We did find another key card on the counter with a museum pamphlet. The room was clean, with the exception of someone prior sitting on the bed. In the sink area, there was a light but no light switch or a way to turn on the light so I had to grab the lamp and plug in to see what we were doing, the bathroom had a fan, but no way to turn it on. The breakfast there was really nothing, milk was bad, the orange juice you tried to fill and was mostly water, and the fruit wasn't good so we went someplace else. The location was good for us and what we were doing. The room was clean with the exception of someone being there before us.

Super friendly people up front. Rest of it was terrible. Room smelled of cigarettes and trash. No water pressure. Would not recommend or stay there again.
