Not really that fun and EXTREMELY expensive, parking $15, adult $10, kid $8 and then when you're inside you have to BUY TICKETS for the rides or $35 for an unlimited wristband...there's only 11 janky rides in the whole fair and many of them were down while we were there. I saw workers taking pieces from one ride and attaching it to another...seemed unsafe. Taking 3 kids here really drained my fun money for the month. Food wasn't good. Only things I enjoyed were the live animals and live music....but I won't be going back ever. There's way better county fairs.

Kids really enjoyed it. Try to purchase the ticket online. I found 60% cheaper on facebook thetickethack. Also purchase parking online on site is really expensive.

Circus ? was pretty weak. Waaay overpriced, tix for adult $63, what a waste of money. Glad the little ones enjoyed it though, they have no concept of the money spent! Never doing this one again ?

This place should be torn down, and a new 10,000 person Convention Center should be built in it's place. Just my personal thoughts.?

Expensive rides...6 flags is right next to it which has much better rides for almost free with membership!

The annual fair thing has the food vendor prices super expensive, and the rides were not worth it

Good place for a dog show in early spring and early June if the weather is cool

We come to this fairgrounds to attend dog shows throughout the year since we first got into it. It’s a large open space with plenty of room and facilities to accommodate large crowds of crazy dog people. Bathrooms are dated, but functional. Plenty of parking, but be prepared to pay depending on how many days that you plan to attend. They do allow multiple entries at no extra cost which is a huge plus. There’s large areas for overnight parking for RVs, etc…. With available power and water.Special kudos to the parking and security staff…. I had left my back trunk open for several hours by mistake, but nothing was stolen. There’s always a nice and courtesy presence both inside the grounds and outside in the parking lot. We’ve always felt very safe and secure there. We’re looking forward to coming to the next show : )

The Solano County Fairgrounds has it's pluses and minuses but overall we've enjoyed every event that was hosted here. The halls are pretty old and the restrooms are very small and limited in space. So if you're trying to help a toddler use the restroom, it'll be a tight squeeze. The main hall is possibly the largest building. It's able to accommodate tons of venders and has high ceilings for large displays. The McCormick hall is just as big but can get a bit stuffy inside during the summers because there are windows that can trap heat inside. We've been here for the Kawaii Festival and for the Vallejo Reptile & Oddities Expo (x2) and each visit was great. Parking was free for these events and there's a ton of parking both in the parking lots as well as onsite.

It was sweet and small. Hardly anyone there today during the afternoon. There's more rides for smaller children than adults. Plenty of foods to pick from. For me the best part was the farm animals baby zoo petting. And the Solano County SWAT vehicle on display.I understand that they want to discontinue our fair and unfortunately I can understand why, at least today hardly anyone was there and the vendor's are very few. What happened? Vallejo has grown, Solano County has grown and our fair is getting smaller. If more people showed up to support our fair it would be a lot better. Right now there's no lines for anything. In the 60s and 70s it was a lot larger and a lot more to do.

Entry fees are reasonable.... However, games are $10 per person, rides are $6-10 per person. Only a handful of game stalls, a handful of rides, a handful of food vendors. Food excessively overpriced. Only one exhibit hall open..... Very disappointed. Not worth the money spent to go.
