My friends and I were in the area and we were hungry for delicious Filipino food. I was hoping we could find Capampangan cuisine as they whip up the best Pinoy food, in my opinion. We searched Yelp and came across Selecta. We didn't expect too much from an all you can eat place with a very reasonable price but we got pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious with good variety. The spread had all of the Filipino food you can think of: sinigang, pancit, lumpia, pakbet, rellenong bangus, another fish dish, kare-Kare, fried chicken, picadillo, and a few more! They had leche flan and ginataan for dessert. The ginatan was the best! The flan was a bit burnt at the bottom but it' was still good. Their pancit and pakbet were one of the best I've had. The matured men tending the buffet were the cooks and they happen to be Capampangan. No wonder the food was delicious!! The experience was like visiting the home of your grandma. It was relaxed with so much good food. The owner is hands-on. He served us, talked to us and gave us an insight of what it's like to do business these days. Everyone in the store is friendly and courteous. They took time to answer all our questions. The place holds two businesses: a store and a restaurant. Ambiance is relaxed and casual. It's spacious and clean. It wasn't too busy on a Sunday lunch. Please support this business. You won't be disappointed. Price is very reasonable with lots of delicious food. What else can you ask for?

I went there for the Filipino lunch buffet. I was shocked that it was surprisingly tasty. There are limited choices but you'll get filled up. What's lacking is ambiance and table service. This buffet is alongside a mom and pop grocery store. It's a complete different experience.

Buffet is still $13.99 ! Can't beat that! That's the cheapest buffet in the whole country! And the variety is awesome if you like Filipino (Pinoy) food. Yum!

Was on the search for dilis (deep fried smelt in Filipino). I went to multiple spots in this plaza and Selecta had some ready in their buffet food area. The worker allowed me to purchase all of them after lunch and he said if I needed more in the future I could order and give him 15-20 minutes. I like how fried and crispy they are and taste just like chips. They pair well with their house made spicy vinegar. This spot takes me back to a Filipino grocery, carendaria/sari sari store from the Philippines. They have a buffet full of food that I believe regulars go to. The food looked really good inside, like legit home cooked meal ands and ready to eat. It's out in the open and had tons of food for a Friday. I need to give it a try and experience it myself. They also have a grocery store area that doesn't seem too up to date but it looks like this spot has been here for a while. It's located in the Island Pacific plaza so there is plenty of parking in the area and can get busy.

I wish this buffet open a location in Santa Rosa or Rohnert Park/Cotati.

I like coming here for some unassuming homestyle Pilipino meal. The proprietor is friendly. My only gripe is that they serve too many meat dishes.

The worst place. Dirty place. When it comes to customer service the older man is very rude, unprofessional.

I will not recommend Selecta to any of my relatives and friends because of their poor customer relations. A lady ruined our group's event, she was rude. We even explained to her that we have made a reservation in advance and would like to be seated together. But the lady was rude and diid not accommodate our request. We all walked out of the restaurant, they lost 50 plus customers that day. I discourage anyone to eat there because they have rude employee and a poor customer service

Talked to the owner Rey on the phone days before our event. He sounded very accommodating and booked our group's anniversary brunch at this place. I initially booked for 35 and asked him if the place could fit us and I was affirmed that they will. A day before I called him again to reconfirm and told him we'll have more people coming and we're looking at about 45-50 pax and he said there's no problem ( he sounded excited as it's more customers for them). The day came and some of our group arrived before they were even open. Rey was not there and the mean lady who opened the door was giving us a very small spot that could only fit barely 20 people. She said some of you can sit here and some will be there on the other side. Of course we got upset. I asked for Rey and she said he's not here sounding very rude. It's a group event of course we want to be seated together. We were requesting to put us in a larger space since the other area was still empty and she said I can't coz it's for another event. What the heck!! Of course I started complaining coz Rey told me something else. There's no way all of us can fit in that small spot we said and she responded with a sarcastic voice "WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO?" What a B*** She doesn't know what customer service is!! We all turned around very upset and ended up eating at FilHOuse. They just lost 50 customers and their respective families and friends and getting a very bad review. Wait for my colleague's review. They shouldn't be in business.
