I went there for the first time because the regular Smog shop was closed. I was told it was $98 and when asked for any coupons, I was advised there aren't any. The employee gave me a $10 off coupon as a courtesy. A friend of mine got theirs for $48 by walking in. I was not even told there are Yelp coupons. I messaged the business via Yelp and there was a lack of professionalism. I will never go there again!

I took my vehicle for a smog test. No appointments necessary. Friendly and very attentive staff. My car passed with flying colors and it only took them less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend.

I'm so grateful to the guys who helped my classic 1989 Volvo 740 GL sedan pass smog for the next couple years. After having so many different car woes within the past 2 years...it was such a relief to have a back up hooptie to roll in. Went to another trusted smog center in town who were unable to pass the car because I had an after market part installed that made it impossible to get a true reading from the muffler. I was then reccommended to Royal Smog who took me in at the end of the day. The Bmod (Boss man on duty) Sam & his team were able to diagnose0 the problem. (I was chauffered home by the boss himself; who also happens to be nice on the eyes(lol).I only had to wait a day for my muffler to be fixed and have the Volvo running like brand new. It cost me a few Benjamin's...but well worth passing smog for another 2 years and is a quiet as a mouse when im rollin around town. If I decide to keep this car for a little while longer...im definitely coming back for future tune-ups! Ciao for now...

But wait... there's more. Inspecting the whole pile of paperwork, I discovered that Royal Smog had given me an emissions test result for a DIFFERENT 1991 Japanese vehicle, a Mazda truck, license 37861F3, VIN JM2UF1238MO167429, which is dated 10/28/2023. I had wondered how they had gotten an exhaust gas sample, since Vallejo Smog could not get their equipment to measure my car, indicating that there was excessive dilution of the exhaust stream. I have since gotten Acapulco Mufflers, where I was sent by Vallejo Smog, to remedy the defective Resonator and muffler, at a cost of $360.49, work I actually needed. Royal Smog fraudulently supplied me with the documents concerning this 1991 Mazda truck as if they had actually tested my vehicle. I have now spent $846.98 in an effort to achieve compliance with CARB requirements. I am forced to avail myself of the CARB Referee Program Repair cost waiver, An important part, $297, of the burden of this goat rope is due to the fraudulent test and repair billing from Royal Smog. I am reporting this to the CARB helpline,

It's been almost a week since my car was at the shop and my engine died on me on the road. I just towed it home. The person who was working on my car was on it all day? I went in at 11am and left at 5pm. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and charged hella for nothing now. I gave them a good rate and now I am giving them a poor rate. Why did they say they changed it and couldn't find what was wrong and my car died on me. I have someone else to check it out and they said it's a timing of the engine and a misfire that is wrong. Why couldn't they figure this out when it was at the shop all day? Super mad

nooo this tayer is not recommended today Tuesday November 6 yebe they gave me a price for my car and then they gave me another one I didn't give them the job anymore and for returning my car they charged me and they didn't do any work on the contrary they gave me my car disassembled and They stole some pieces from me that's not fair... I don't recommend this place

5 stars all the way. Ive had a problem with my car for 3-4 years and no one else could seem to fix it but the mechanic we met (Sam) was able to fix it immediately and faster than quoted. I wish I had come here sooner! Highly recommended. Best in Vallejo
