I wish I could say I had a good experience, but I didn't, and I hate that it's about money and rude people. There was a lot of miscommunication and resultant confusion between me and the "office manager," Jessica. Jeri would tell me one thing and Jessica would tell me another. One time, for example, I made an appointment with Jeri and, on the day of the appointment, I received an email from Jessica that I actually would not be meeting with Jeri, that I would be meeting with her. That was unacceptable for me, so I called to cancel only to find out that I would be meeting with Jeri after all. Another time, I made an appointment with Jeri and somehow it never made it onto the books and I had to make another one. But the final straw for me was when I got the final bill for $550. I'd asked early on what the charge would be and Jeri said it started at $80 and would depend on what needed to be done. I figured two or three hundred, and was stunned when she told me what she was charging me. I am a senior and make under $50,000/year and had I known, I'd have gone elsewhere. The invoice from them required that I enter my banking information to be sent by email. No. I am not sending bank account information through cyberspace. I paid the invoice by PayPal and received a rather curt phone call from Jessica saying that PayPal charged them $16.50 and I would be receiving an invoice for the amount. Which I received on October 31with a note that they hadn't received my payment yet. It was the first notice I'd received. That was pretty much it for me. I don't mind professionals charging what they want but when I asked, I would have appreciated a more realistic response. There's a big gap between $80 and $550. Jeri knew my situation and knew what the work would entail. I feel that her response was deceptive. Jessica is another story; with the confusion and inaccurate information, the experience was far from pleasant. And in talking to me about the second invoice for the $16.50 for PayPal, I feel she was just rude. I really don't like leaving negative posts here. But this was far from being a good experience.

One , that isn't even deserved. Bathrooms out of order. My appointment was at 12:15 and I'm still waiting at 2:15. Rude customer service reps, that show absolutely know compassion for the long unattended wait. Isn't it illegal to not have working restrooms!?! Like seriously! This is inhuman!!! I tried to converse with the rep about the wait and she basically walked away telling me to let her do her job. I find it ironic that they have a sign posted stating *we have the right to refuse service*. Makes me feel as if they've had other customers complain about the long wait. Update: The wait is forever. However, they find ways for you to get more money on your return.

If I could give 0 stars I would! First of all, we made an appointment at 4:30. We arrive just on time thinking we have an appointment and we would just be in and out. BUT NOPE. We were seen past 7:30! The front desk was terrible! Gave me wrong paperworks and didn't explain WTH is going, made me go back and forth. Lastly, their process, they would input your data make you wait HOURS. When we were finally seen, no relevant questions were asked, they had just made us confirm if our names and numbers were correct. Honestly, right at that moment, I wanted to back out BUT we came all the way from San Mateo and waited Hours! I claimed 0 on my taxes and I still owe IRS. Hella sketchy! On top of that, I had to pay $250 for BAD service! Instead of getting a refund, I LOST money. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Horrible place to go. Made a appointment at 11:30am and finally got out around 4:30pm. Someone also made a reservation at 11:45am and they got serviced before me. They aren't organized and they charge way too much. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

This is the first time I tried this place to have my taxes done because my previous tax preparer just retired and I regret it very much to come to this place. The customer service is very horrible. They claim themselves as tax experts but they don't seem to know what they are doing, they are just after your money. When you go to a tax expert, you expect that they guide you through the process and they should know what info they needed to file your taxes. They filed mine on the 9th of Feb and a month after I haven't recieved my tax refund. I called to inquire what happened to the ones they filed electonically and have to make several calls to finally speak to someone. To my surprised they told me that the filed income tax was rejected and i asked why i was not notified about it, they claimed that they called me ( and to the best of my knowledg, never wver recieved a call from them). this only shows that they dont care about it since they already got my money ( which is actually the highest fee i paid, this place charges $250 for a crappy service, i could have gone to HR block or the likes). They told me that i didn't tell them i was married before when i told them i am divorcee (), Just this kind of conversation, you will think if this person has common sense or what, so I would think twice if you will trust your taxes with this people who calls themselves tax experts. Only reason i put star is because i am required to but this place does not deserve a 1 star rating, zero is more like it.

If possible it would be no stars from me. But I'll have to settle for one star. Appointment was at 12:15pm it is now 5:15pm.. What's the point of an appointment if you are going to be sitting/waiting for this long. Even with people like myself waiting for hours to be called they still accept more people to come in which makes no sense. Unless you like going to places where you wait for hours even with an appointment while they continue to schedule people I suggest you find someone else to do your taxes.

Subject matter expertise, excellent communication skill, fast response to emails/phone calls, and willingness to help - Jeri got it all. I'm very happy with my overall experience. I'm super paranoid about all financial stuff, especially where IRS is concerned and I felt relieved after she started doing my taxes. Before I hired her for the first time I already did my taxes (but not submitted) using an online software so that I can compare the results, and I was very happy to see that her work was absolutely perfect. I'll definitely recommend her for all your tax filing needs.

Read the reviews below and believe it. I've experienced it myself. We came in at 10:30am and here I am at 3:25pm with no end in sight. At 12:30nn I asked how many people were ahead of me and the lady at the reception rolled her eyes, looked at her list and said I'm 12th. After waiting for 2 hours! She also asked me if I was here last year and I should have known that the wait is long. She said that paperworks need to be loaded and it takes time. That is totally absurd! Unbelievable. The reality is that they book way too many people for a time slot with only 2 accountants working. If I could give zero stars, I would. We're not going back here because waiting the whole day for an appointment I made 3 weeks ago is just an absolute waste of time.

If I could give NO star I would.. Last year we went here to file our taxes and Alan is very helpful and he walked us through with the process, explains all the things we need to know and made you decide.. This year it was an ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE experience.. We came at 2pm and finished at 10:30 at night! There are people who came and ONLY waited for 30mins.. Like VIP's!! People made appointments so they can go home on time! Apparently they just kept accepting people and let them wait the whole day! The 2 ladies in front desk keeps rolling their eyes and looks so irritated when asked if it's your turn! I mean if you don't like what you're doing go hide inside the office!! We don't need you running your attitude because we here seating and burning our asses for 8 hours! So then We got called and seated for 2 mins and was ONLY asked if we have health insurance then walked us outside to pay!! Like WTF?! We waited for 8hours with no explanation of our taxes filed or an itemized deductions! If you guys can't handle too many people and will just ruin the process DON'T book hella people in a day!! And change your front desk staff because apparently they're mean and rude!! We understand everybody is tired but that's not how you do business PROFESSIONALLY! I PERSONALLY DONT RECOMMEND this place! IT was better when Alan was still there.. all the 1 star rating posted here is true comments from people who experienced it!
