These microphones are not durable and are constantly breaking or going out. Ruben, the owner, used to always push his Nighthawk, which was a Bluetooth mic for your radio. The design was terrible and it never worked, yet he always recommended it even though he know it sucked. All they care about is money- NOT officer safety. He knowingly endangered dozens of officers lives by convincing them to try a product that he KNEW didn't work. Many officers were lucky enough to return their faulty device before it cost them their lives. Make sure you think twice before ordering one of their products if you are an officer who's safety depends on your ability to communicate in the field.

The older model lapel mic was good. It lasted for several years and had good sound quality. The newer hawk lapel mic is garbage. I got so many complaints from multiple officers that they could not understand me. They said I sounded muffled and like I was under water. Aside from that, I had other problems such as the clip on the back of the mic having no retention and swiveling around on it's own as it was clipped to my vest. I also had one stop working suddenly after a few weeks. I could hear fine but could not transmit. Their ambidextrous earmold not only looks ridiculous but is not comfortable. Their older ones were better. I prefer the two wire mic over a standard radio speaker mic but what's the point if its ineffective and poses an officer safety risk. I ended up switching to the typhoon lapel mic (made by a company in California called PCL) which thankfully has great audio quality. I am not being asked to repeat myself all the time and everyone can actually hear what I'm saying. Dont waste your time with the hawk lapel mic, either get a typhoon or stick with the standard speaker mic with just a listen only earpiece.

Bought a set of large silicone ear tips by mistake instead of the small to replace the previous ones I had. Quickly realized they were the wrong size due to making my ears hurt after shift. Asked to send back but they said would just send me the small size, no charge. I received them shortly and are much better. Very much appreciated and thought that was good service over all!
