I simply couldn’t find the wheels I wanted so I found CalChrome who custom made my dream wheels. John and his crew copper chromed and clear coated my rims to a finish better than I hoped. I’m blown away. The process took time but they kept me informed along the way. They sent arrival photos, product photos and finished photos. CalChrome is the only place to get your “Dream Wheels”.

After searching and searching for the perfect rims for my 1986, 300 ZX, I finally decided on the originals. However, my originals were in really bad shape. I called these guys and they were able to help me and save my original rims. The job that John and his crew did on my four rims is unbelievable, can’t tell you how many people have complemented these rims. They are mirror perfection. There is no other tire out there that even comes close to the beauty that he made the original rims on this car look like. I have several other vehicles that I am now going to use the originals and sent to him for chroming. Three stage crome process you cannot beat it. Nothing else holds. I will absolutely use him again, and I will recommend anyone who asks about the tires to use his service.

John was amazing to work with. Responded to all emails very promptly and kept me informed about my order status. Helped me decide which route to go with and we came out with an a new finish that hadn’t really been done much. The finish of the faces of wheels was so good. The attention to detail was amazing. Came out so good. I got best wheels in a car show competition. Highly recommend them!

I bought a set of cheap 22 inch snowflake rims, and the black chrome started wearing off as I cleaned and polish them. I had John do a set of black chrome plating, and I could not be happier These rims are absolutely amazing best quality rim I’ve ever had thank you John you’re the best.

I was referred to this company by Detroit Wheel and tire in Michigan. I was looking for a company that could do a black chrome on my Yukon 22 inch wheels. California Chrome was the only company that could offer this service. So I decided to ship the wheels to them. The process was smooth, easy and transparent. I delt directly with John. Communication was great! Timing was fast? I highly recommend this company for wheel service!

John was nice in the beginning, then they started ignoring my calls and hung up the phone on me, they also stopped replying to my emails. Definitely unprofessional and weird that John went and searched me up, I mean you have to have too much time on your hands to do that. He tells me one price on the phone then another price the next day, even after multiple times explaining to him that my product will be disassembled when I send it to him. Believe me I have emails of all of this which I can include. Don’t waste your time going to these people. Also, when you look at the reviews make sure you sort it by newest to oldest, and you will see that many customers have had this issue! I got the job done somewhere else for half the price and they did it perfectly. For anyone wondering, it’s called ATLAS PLATING in Texas. Amazing people, amazing job, and amazing price. As for threatening me John, go ahead and do me a favor and contact my father, he would gladly speak with you much better than I can. I am in medical school and I don’t have time for that.

California Chrome Wheel is an excellent business! I have a 2015 Infiniti Q60S and had all four factory wheels stripped, repaired, powder coated gloss black, and new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted and balanced. Everything turned out amazing! As an engineer, I value a business that pays attention to details. For instance, they coat the entire wheel, except for the critical surfaces that contact the hub. This is a huge plus because the wheels fit with no issues. John is the owner and he is very easy-going, knowledgeable about the process, can answer technical questions, and up front with any repairs that may need to be performed.As a customer, you should be aware ahead of time that the base pricing includes minor repair. Once they strip the old paint of the wheel, it may reveal more damage that might require more labor and cost to fix. This is just the nature of the beast, as they cannot determine what is hiding under the paint until they start the job.As for the tires, they are a great place to buy from with their fair prices and exceptional mounting and balancing process. I noticed there was no damage anywhere on the wheel from mounting the tire. I was able to run my finger all around the outside of the rim, with no evidence of even a scratch. They also applied weights that are gloss black to match. Again, attention to detail is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend California Chrome Wheel. If you are looking for a place that will do the job right the first time with amazing results, at a fair price, this is the place for you.

I called this place to see if were able to do a job for me.John was very rude and acted like He knew the product but clearly he didn't And clearly don't have that equipment to do it.Then he try to tell me that I don't want to do that to my gauge panel When the factory did something similar to it back in 68.When I told him that he got mad very rude Told me to call somebody else and he hung up. This guy clearly shouldn't be answering questions or anything on the telephone they need somebody else to handle it.I wouldn't trust this Place to do anything

Overall an Extremely unprofessional establishment. John is extremely rude and inappropriate with customers. Would not recommend anyone from the LA area to travel there given the terrible attitude and service.

I went too them for road force balance. But today they stated they lost their lease and do not offer the service any longer.
