Store in Vacaville would not let me purchase an item unless I gave phone number address and email. When I tried to call to speak to manager I was put on hold. Never heard of this before. Was a loyal customer for years…no more very disappointed.

I felt racially profiled as soon as me (Mexican) and my other Mexican female friend walked into the building, we got dirty looks, followed around, we made our purchased and left. Nobody gave us a nice experience but the lady that helped us at the register.

Critika was absolutely amazing! She took the time to ensure all of my products were a match for my skin tone and taught me how to apply them. I couldn’t be happier with everything I bought. If you’re new to make up I highly recommend seeing Kritika.

The line to checkout was super long, only two people at checkout. And about 15 seeded all over throughout the store's sales floor. People were not willing to help and kind of stuck on corporate rules rather than providing an exceptional user experience or trying to give the customer the best shopping experience. I won't be shopping there again. They were happy to have people to help you find products to buy on the sales floor but then when you went to buy it they they didn't give a s*** about the customer and getting you out the door. I would give this store a zero stars if that was a possible

Walked in looking to buy some fragrances, and not 1 employee asked if I needed help finding anything. There were 3 employees in a group talking and 2 more in the fragrances with one stocking and the other talking to him. Not one person said 2 words to me. I'm very big on customer service and because of this I walked out without buying anything. I heard the conversation of the 2 employees, and the one stocking was talking about how there was finally a day of no one stealing. The thing is, if the employees actually paid attention to the customers and assisted them, then theifs wouldn't be able to walk in and steal so effortlessly. I was a store manager in retail for years, and this would have been absolutely unacceptable in any one of my stores. All of them need training or a different job of they don't want to assist customers.

I went into the store to return one item, let me repeat, one item and I didn’t have a receipt. Ulta employees, especially managers, should know how to find a receipt. On 5/12/23, around 6pm, the manager told me I don’t have a receipt , I can’t return it. So she sent me out of the store, accusing me of having no proof or purchase, instead of doing what her job requires her to do, finding me a receipt. So Ulta, where do you find yo ur managers that can’t even find receipts and send off their customers empty handed, mind you , I’ve been diamond for 10+ years. Worst customer service, and at the same time racially profiled/stereotypically biased since the manager “thought” I was returning something I never purchased. How pathetic.

Great selection of makeup brands from accessibly priced to higher end. Was asked by several employees if I needed help and was guided to the right shade of foundation for my complexion and skin tone. Enjoyed chatting about makeup with the girl at the register, who clearly loves makeup as much as I do.

Ulta shipped me the wrong item. I drove to the Ulta store in Vacaville, stood in line, and asked to get the correct item. They had the correct item in stock, but couldn't give it to me because it would screw up their inventory???I had to call customer service - customer service said the item is not in stock in the warehouse and gave me a refund instead. I am literally sitting in the parking lot in front of the Ulta store that has the item I want, but I can't get it exchanged. This is absolutely absurd. We have these things called computers - figure out how to correct a mistake made on your part. It shouldn't matter if the item I want is from the store or your warehouse. I will never order from Ulta again.

For my first time, I had the best experience here. I stopped by early last month(I am blessed and cursed with being forgetful) and I am so appreciative of Leah. I came with my cousin, who’s been in college and wanted to learn how to do her makeup so we were here for a long time trying to get the right color, something she’d actually wear and just the basics because this s*** is expensive. No one really checked in on us on the floor which is fine because we were content looking ourselves. Now at the register Leah is who ended up helping us and this exchange is why I say SHE DESERVES A RAISE. Very friendly, the coolest red eyeliner look, helpful, knowledgeable, patient (since there was some payment complications like me forgetting my wallet?) and just above and beyond.

So while I do understand policies of pickups making sure they're in the proper names my dad went in to do me a favor to make sure my kids had their gifts he went to do the pickup for me it clearly stated the alternate name and they still harassed him for me to put it in his name next time why would they give the option of an alternate pick up name if you are not going to do your proper researchon the order first before harassing a customer. This was lame and lousy customer service i have many years in customer service management and this was very I'll service.

The folks here are always the best of the best. Knowledgeable, receptive, incredible customer service skills.. plus the place is always kept clean, well stocked & nicely displayed. I got color matched in seconds earlier today by the kind blonde over at Clinique ? (sorry I didn't catch a name!) Something I've put off for far too long, done quickly & easily. It was my first time in this location on a Tuesday night due to a need of shampoo. I’m going to be honest I don’t usually shop in ulta but I think I should. The workers from beauty specialties to cashiers were very nice and welcoming. (As against recent experience I had in competitor’s store) I felt that they need to hear this “Thank you so much for kindness and being helpful. I’d love to visit/shop there again.
