As a first time homebuyer, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first phone call, all the way through to the end, Lisa, Sara and Jim were phenomenal to work with. Things were always explained in a way I could understand and I always received a prompt response anytime I reached out to the Solano Mortgage team. 5+ stars for them!

Solano Mortgage always comes through for my clients. I cannot say enough great things about Lisa, Sara and Jim. They are prompt and available when I need them to connect with someone interested in purchasing property. Jim Porter is the most knowledgeable guy in the business and I ask him my toughest client and personal investing questions.
Such a great resource and they are right here in Vacaville!

After searching online and talking with a couple people. Solano Mortgage was recommended by a realtor my inlaws used. I emailed Jim Porter and got a fast response back. They were very accommodating with times to meet, my schedule isn't the easiest to work with. His daughter Lisa Porter was super helpful with guiding me and answering all my questions. Jim was able to work a couple different loan options that I could compare. BUT, Sara was our shining star. Sara lined out exactly what we needed, answered our text and calls, no matter the time. Sara explained everything in a way that didn't feel overwhelming and got us in our new home in a sooner than expected time. The team at Solano Mortgage Company is top of their class for a reason. Would absolutely recommend them for your Mortgage loan needs.

Working with Solano Mortgage was an easy, fast, and pleasant experience. From the introductory and data-gathering Zoom call with Lisa Porter, to the question-and-answer Zoom call with Jim Porter, to the educational conversations with Sara Blanton, everything felt pretty smooth from start to finish. The team was always very friendly and willing to accommodate us even later in the day after my wife and I had both gotten off work. We felt so unknowledgeable and uncertain about most aspects of the homebuying process, but Solano Mortgage consistently exuded confidence and understanding; they proved more than willing to explain and re-explain things to us, and they helped us become more confident in our ability to find and afford a home. It was also comforting that everyone on the team was down-to-earth. There was not a hint of pretentiousness or a sense that they were looking down on us in any way. From the very beginning, it felt like they were working alongside us to reach mutual goals. Our realtor even said they they were "pretty much paying out of pocket" to get us a competitive interest rate. My wife and I believe that Solano Mortgage really went above and beyond to help us!
There were a couple of issues along the way, but that was on the side of Rocket Mortgage, for whom Solano Mortgage was acting as a kind of broker or middleman. Our realtor had set several deadlines for the removal of contingencies, and a couple of them were missed by one day because of delays by Rocket Mortgage. This is no reflection on Solano Mortgage, but it did add a bit of extra anxiety along the way.
We love Solano Mortgage and are so happy that we decided to work with them and not anyone else. When it is time to refinance, I am confident that we will go directly to them for assistance!

Any hesitation we had about qualifying to buy a house or being nervous about our situation immediately went away the moment we walked into Solano Mortgage. The team is so welcoming and so friendly and so dedicated! They make you feel like family from the moment they greet you. Most importantly, though, they are knowledgeable and on the ball with absolutely everything. There wasn't a question unanswered, and we were never left in the dark. Please, if you are anything like us, scared to make the first step and reach out, give them a try. You will be SO thankful you did!!!!

Solano Mortgage has been so helpful throughout the whole process of us obtaining a loan to buy our first home. They are on top of everything and have worked quickly for us to be able to start putting bids in. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family!

Sara Blanton and the team at Solano Mortgage were excellent to work with. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We got pre-approved over the phone before going to an open-house on 8/13/23 and received the keys to our new house today (8/31/23). Sara made sacrifices of her time outside of business hours to help us get the best loan possible in today's difficult and scary market. We are still amazed that we went to an open house as looky-loo's and we are now owner's of that home less than three weeks from the day we walked through. Thank you Sara and Solano Mortgage, we are forever grateful for your expertise, persistence, understanding (I can be a bit aggressive & OCD), and love for our local Solano County community.
