Very rude sales, got treated like I was begging for a car. Honestly I’m taking my business somewhere else.

While I have not purchased a vehicle from this dealership, I have had my mazda 6 sport for 6 years now and have taken it here for all it's servicing. The staff has always been friendly and informative and has never tried to upsell or talk me into anything to make an extra buck.
This last service was exceptional, especially Marilyn at the desk and Joseph the tech who worked on my car who both made my appointment go so smoothly with setting me up with a loaner vehicle and keeping me up to date with my repairs and had a great line of open communication especially as it was just days before a holiday weekend and the nasty heatwave we have been having.
I will continue to service my vehicle here.

BEWARE! I first walked in and was ignored by all staff, including management for about an hour, but I really wanted THIS car, so i waved off the red flag. I finally bought the car and didnt and it had issues the next day. I was advised to take it to a Nissan Dealer, and then left with the bill for the diag fees and an estimate totaling over $3,000. I cant make up what I am about to tell you. I eventually was told to bring it back to this dealership Service Dept and the Service Dept didnt even know who I was or that I was promised a loaner. They did give me a loaner but had my brand new car for about 2 months, with NO CONTACT or follow up. I was given promises of grandeur to make it up to me. After a couple weeks I tried to contact someone, but I could not reach management and left emails, calls and messages with all departments. Somebody even said "I promise I will have management call you TODAY, I sit right next to the Director." Needless to say more weeks would pass and I'd hear nothing.
I live 2 hours away from this location and work a lot so I cant just drive over. Eventually I called my lending company to help me with the legalities of buying a car that will not be placed in my possession, none-the-less from a dealer who refuses to acknowledge my existence $20,000 plus later.
It gets worse. Once I called the lending company and spoke with someone who informed me of my rights to have a car or cancel my purchase and called the Dealership, I got a call from the service department. Mind you, through all this I AM KIND, PATIENT AND HAVE YET TO SHOW ANGER OR FRUSTRATION. When the service manager called I was relieved to hear from somebody, but I had reached my threshold of patience (still I stayed respectful but expressed my disappointment).
I am working M-F 2 or more hours away and he demands I bring back the loaner car and angrily threatens me with a call to the police to report it STOLEN. I kid you not, I begin to tear up with the stress and anxiety of not knowing how to handle this situation and wound up having to call the day off to drive to Vacaville.
They returned my car to me very dirty, when I was told they'd detail it.
Christian sat down with me having told me he had NO idea I tried to reach him (though I left him emails, texts, voicemails, and messages with staff).
Oh and did I mention, I was lied to and said if I purchase their best warranty I'd get all my money back before I pay off my car if I cancel it before the loan ends.
Ok, so Christian promised me in writing he'd replace the cargo net, get my car detailed and treat it for mold. He did get it detailed and treat for mold, but refused to give me my front license plate or follow through with any of the other promises he made, whether in writing or not.
I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY FRONT PLATES.
I was BULLIED, GASLIT, CHEATED AND LIED TO.
THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE.
Trent with financing was the more helpful than the rest. Hes the only staff who was even remotely friendly.
I'll update to let you know if the other promises get followed through with, but don't hold your breath.

Will in sales was solid in communication but the lack of disclosure of dealer add-ons (pre-owned) such as anti-theft and door edge guards for $1090 and no willingness to budge (not including their imbedded service contract for $895). Finance manager stated they charge because they add them for a discount of their own insurance policy. They also state they’re only making $150 on a deal without even reducing vehicle price when you bring your own pre-approval in. I have never walked out of a dealership and not been stopped with an attempt to make a deal. They just let me walk. Just putting this out there for those who are newer to the process and may be uninformed.

Was told they shredded my paper work for a smog and was told I need to go get my CPO car a smog check before they could give me my registration a full 2 months after I bought the car. Then after I get the smog check they refuse to call me back or reimburse me or send me my registration. I've been calling them for over a month about this and they have a new excuse every time and have the nerve to be appaled that I am not happy with their service. Buying the car was a odd experience as the sales person flat out lied to me about stupid things to make convo. It makes me wonder how much they lie here. I know dealers can be rough but the negligence is next level for spending 25k and selling them a car. I'd expect to have a better business partner. Go to another mazda dealer if you can.

I’m really upset that I been calling and checking on a vehicle all week and not once did anyone say or representative sales person say. I should come in and do the paperwork for this vehicle in case someone purchase, you guys been telling me to call back everyday to check the status. Now today I get and ok to come check out vehicles because it’s out of the shop and do the paperwork today then. I get a phone call form luk stating the vehicle is sold it’s upsetting and it’s very hurtful and misleading.
I don’t want and suv if I was looking for a car communication is the key and I wish people would be more understanding.

I bought a car on September 9, 2023. They, gave it to me finally a week later because they needed to replace a part. After this, over 7 months has passed and I have not received my car tags or car registration. I called many times to ask about the tags and got my name and phone number taken and never received a call back. I went to the dmv on 3/26/24 because I have expired tags and needed to figure out what is going on. So, they never started the process of putting the car on my name. DMV gave me a complaint form which I filed and send. DMV told me to come to the dealer and they tried to put it on me. Like there was an application on the windshield for me to request tags etc…but I paid registration and dmv fees when I purchased the vehicle. Now, they said that the car needs smog because the tags were from out of state. Again, not my problem! I don’t want to keep driving with expired tags. Awful experience and would never buy from Mazda Vacaville ever again.

We purchased a vehicle here that needed a couple of things fixed and to be detailed prior to delivery. This seemed fine, what we weren’t told was that the 2 day period of returning the vehicle and cancelling the contract ended before they even delivered the vehicle. We drove it home and immediately realized either the alternator or battery was bad. They refused to do anything (didn’t even have the decency to call us back when promised) to fix it or reimburse us and refused to give us the paperwork showing what work they’d supposedly done on the car. We’re considering small claims court and at the very least will be reporting our experience to the head mazda office.
We also patiently waited over 3 hours past when we were told it’d be ready to pick up and didn’t complain or plan to leave a bad review. When reaching out to the saleswoman about the car immediately not working, she implied that we rushed the service workers by showing up before it was actually done and that we should have purchased their warranty. Even if that were true (it wasn’t, we were told it should be ready by 4 and showed up around 4:30), that’s pretty egregious to essentially admit, in writing, that the work done on the car was rushed and not done properly due to that, yet still refuse to do so much as even try replacing the battery for us.
Very much wished we’d looked at the recent reviews of this place before purchasing- one or two off reviews can be dismissed as disgruntled customers but several 1 stars in a row with legitimate claims should really put you off buying anything here. Especially fellow military buyers- we’ll be making sure to warn those on the base pages as well that no military customers should trust this place.

Najia was very sweet to me and my friend when we came to buy a car. I highly recommended that you talk to her and deal with her only. Unfortunately I didn’t drive away in a new car from this dealership. Someone decided not to disclose that the car needed a new muffler until I arrived and they couldn’t let me take the car home that I would have signed for. The bait and switch tactic was cute but I want what I want and they killed the deal by wasting my time. I traveled all the way from Modesto to get this specific car. In this economy sales people and managers should be trying to earn business instead of losing potential customers. Again if you need to buy a car here only deal with Najia.

Extremely condescending staff.
If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I went in to get an offer on my car because I was looking to sell it. I had stopped at a couple places before the Mazda dealership to get written offers and see where different places are at because it would be stupid to not shop around for the best offer. I go in and no one is there in the lobby and I am just standing there for a minute or so and a girl finally came out of one of the offices. She asks me some questions and I am reluctant to give my contact info because I don't want to be harassed by a bunch of sales calls, having worked in a dealership before, I know how it goes. She insisted she had to collect the information to send my car info to a purchasing manager who is supposedly off site. So I answer her questions and she gets info on my car. Then she told me she is going to go talk to someone about my car (but didn't you just tell me the person is off site?) anyway, as she's getting up she asks me what I'm looking to get for the car. That's a tactic to be able to underpay you if your number is lower than what they'd offer you. So I said I'd like to know what they will offer me before I say any numbers, and this is where the condescending behavior really started. She got annoyed with me for not wanting to give a number and asked me perhaps the dumbest question you can ask if you're trying to get someone to sell their car to you: "you want us to give you a number first even if we low ball you?" I was dumbstruck. So I told her that I'd appreciate not being low balled and for them to just tell me what they'll give me for the car. She leaves and is gone for quite a while. I hear them laughing in their office and I didn't assume it was about me at first but I now think otherwise because after waiting alone in the lobby for a while, she comes back out and I hear a guy YELL after her in a very condescending tone "AND NOT A DOLLAR MORE!" and laughed. She then comes to the desk and tells me it looks like I also went to one of their sister dealerships for a quote and they wanted to offer me $xxxx for my car (which wasn't even the right number) and slapped a copy of check down in front of me and proceeded to tell me that all of the dealerships in the area are owned by the same people and they submitted my car to all of them and the best they can do is $xxxx. I know this is not true because I called some of the other dealerships she claimed they own and was told that they all USED to be an auto group, but not anymore.
Of course I did not sell to them after the experience I had.
Over all I do not recommend doing business with this dealership in particular, regardless of whether they own others or not. Of all the places I stopped to get an offer, this is the one I would never return to. What is the point in making a potential customer feel embarrassed or ashamed???? You won't gain business that way and I will never be back, even if looking for a new car or to sell a different car, and I will make sure anyone else I know stays far away too.

Buyer beware - they will try to cheat and trick you!!
The finance manager tried to trick me into purchasing VIN etching - he said it was part of the theft system - an $800 additional cost he tried to "hide" on the sales contract. He also said the prepaid maintenance contract included everything (oil change, air filter change, etc.) when it only includes oil change - a $2,500 charge that will cost you around $880 at a local oil change shop.
Their Cilajet (paint and interior protection) system is about twice the price of the same protection at other dealerships.
Really poor sales experience. The car I bought they didn't even do a "new car get ready" inspection on (I found the unfilled check list in my documents). They never explained anything about the entertainment system or Mazda connect.
They absolutely tried to cheat me. Buyer beware

I drove a total of 30 miles to reach the dealership, expecting quality service, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite providing detailed descriptions of my car's issues over two phone calls, the staff neglected to take notes, displaying a lack of understanding regarding computer problems and screen glitches. Even more disappointing is the fact that I purchased a car from them in 2021. It's concerning to witness staff members eating Cheetos behind the desk and showing a reluctance to fulfill their duties. Overall, my experience has been deeply unsatisfactory, and I would caution others against relying on this dealership for quality service, especially after the considerable distance traveled. Service staff needs to be held accountable for their lack of professionalism. This is not a mom and pop shop.

Very disappointed in the service department. I purchased my 4th (out of 6 family owned vehicles) Mazda from your store, and truly keep hoping for better service in your service department. Promises made for getting the car looked at (a simple oil change and a peek at wiper blades), only to be told to come & pick up our car-or leave it for 4 more days until staff will be able to look at it.
Truly UNACCEPTABLE. You may think about training your staff as to what service & work ethics mean.
We will not only take our car elsewhere, we will NOT be purchasing any additional cars from your store.
We love Mazda-what a shame.

I was sold a car with bad brake lights at a 26.9 APR.. Then ignored from day one when I requested they fix the brake lights. My credit was almost 700 when I purchased and now is below 600. Thanks Mazda of Vacaville for taking advantage of a black, single working mother. I'll make sure to tell all my friends about you.
