Your employees at the 2040 Harbison Dr Vacaville, Ca 95687 store are incredibly rude to customers and disrespectful. Particularly Marvin #707828 and the female store manger. I came in today to get some store credit for some games, They act like I'm a dirt bag for trading in such old games, if they're such a problem don't accept them. I had a bag on the counter and he rudely to me to "get it off his counter." One of the games had a slight smudge on it and he said he wouldn't take it, luckily I had a lens cleaner on me and it wiped right off not sure why he made such a big deal out of nothing. I also came into the store on Saturday to trade in a couple ps3 systems and was aggressively informed that he would only take one, this was done without seeing their condition just on principle. I can understand if it's store policy but he didn't need to be a dick about it and could've stared that. He automatically assumed I didn't have the proper cords and controllers and said he couldn't take the system without them when they were sitting in the box. (I had a box briefly on the counter and was also very rudely told to "remove it from his counter," I have a broken spine so it's a little hard to promptly remove a heavy box with an old ps3 in it). I can handle bad service but the level of contempt and condemnation in his body language and speech is abhorrent. Get better staff. Disgusting. If you don't want to work there quit and find a job that doesn't require dealing with customers. Corporate has been emailed also. I don't even want to step foot in this store to spend my store credit until he's gone.

I am a regular customer and value good service. Employee, Marvin has excellent customer service skills. Today he helped us again and as always took great care of us. I take my grandson in there often and Marvin is the one who helped us the last 3 times. I don't post reviews very often but Marvin deserves to be recognized for excellent customer service skills. Thank you Marvin, my grandson is very happy which makes me happy Vacaville GameStop is our store.

I usually don't go to GamStops as I've found that the customer service is not really that great. However, Marvin made my experience an unforgettable one! He was so sweet, awesome, and went above and beyond to get me a game I've wanted for so long! He's charismatic and makes your time at GameStop a memorable one!

I purchased a used controller, asked if they test used controllers before selling them, he said yes. Turns out the controller would get stuck moving left. I returned the controller. Person helping made it seem like a chore to process a return rather than providing good service. After all I did purchase a new controller and a game on top of that!

Marvin is the man at this store. So much more than a transaction every time I'm in the store! We talked about old school games after I picked up my cards. Was out of the house longer than anticipated but was worth it!

Marvin at GameStop is seriously awesome. Talk about someone who is charismatic and able to connect with your customers. Thanks for the awesome interaction! It was a great visit to GameStop to pick up Pokémon cards.

I have only been in this shop a couple of times, only when my grandson is in town. I've been ignore each time and had to ask for help. But my last visit on Jan 07 left me with the promise I will never shop there again and I will share my story. We were not greeted upon entering, we had to ask for help, we had to ask for prices. Who has the right to call a women "Granny" just because she is with her 3 grandchildren? That's what the only staff member kept calling me. He had ear pods in his ears, kept talking and even went into the storage room for a length of time leaving the store unattended. Frankly this person should NOT even get a 1 star.

I had a poor experience last Saturday. It was a busy day and there were 3 people working there. One woman said "welcome to Game Stop" and clacked away at the computer looking for god knows what the whole time, one man worked the register, and a third employee was seemingly paid to stare at the wall and avoid any contact with the customers. After waiting in line for quite some time I made it to the front and asked if I could use my monthly $5 reward for a gift card, which I've done several times before. The guy just shook his head and said, "nope, can't do that". I said "Ok then I would like to get..." and reached for an action figure literally two feet behind me and he says "NEXT!" like the soup guy from Seinfeld. I wasn't going to go to the back of the line so I just left. I've been a Game Stop reward member for years. I found him rude and simply terrible at customer service. Get over yourself!

I went in and asked for help and the customer service from the front counter guy with gold teeth I feel bad for him cause he sounds like he hates his job. Rude from the start, taking my business elsewhere.

Since the head manager was too proud to give me his name this is towards the other manager David.The other manager looks like a great value Rick Ross. His name might be etzel based on the other reviewers posting. Either way he and David are totally out of pocket. We ordered online and I came into the store to pick up, his employee Chris tells me I need a form of identification to pick up the toy which I totally understand, but since I was not on the account and I just got off work I did not want to drive all the way home for my id. so I asked Chris if we can cancel the order, he then told me we have to call corporate to cancel the order. We call corporate they tell us you just need the order confirmation number and it seems like the corporate and store employee was not on the same page, the solution was to have my girlfriend come pick it up in person since she is on the account. So she goes alone to do it, and she went in and spoke to etzel or David, the first thing that comes out of their mouth is ohh your the customer that was disrespectful to my employee giving him a hard time and you guys called corporate on us. Mind you she is a 5'4" female. She felt like he was argumentative and confrontational. She called me crying telling me what they told her, I then call for the store manager and they scared on the phone not giving me names or explanations also hanging up lol sure. I then go to the store to get his info the first thing Rick Ross does is stand in my face acting like he was going to get physical. I told him to step back and asked him is it okay for you guys to confront a customer saying we are the problem? I said when is it okay to tell a female that she was disrespectful? She is only trying to come in and pick up her order nothing needed to be said but he tells me he needed to involve himself because he felt like we needed to hear, when all he was doing was trying to intimidate a customer. He was also arguing with me and stated " so we're not supposed to talk how we want just cause we are the employee? This is how he handled it and I was on the phone with corporate on hold while it being recorded. He then kept explaining me how customer work around the price and want free stuff insinuating that was my goal. Bro it's a 12 dollar toy, he also said that we called to complain when that wasn't the case, YOUR OWN NEW EMPLOYEE CHRIS IS THE ONE WHO REFERRED CORPORATE, we did not call to complain we wanted to pick up a toy. So since he felt like he was losing an argument he walked away and turned his back and called the cops on me. Everyone in line at the store knew that he was not professional, the employee, store manager and daytime manager David. But he met a real one today. And if your reading this go find another job, he told me he never disrespects woman because he has a daughter but continued to disrespect my girlfriend and intimidate her. No name tag, telling me how and what it is to be a professional. Give me a break, you must be mad at life when you argue with a female about a 12 dollar toy. I will be calling corporate again and again since he mentioned it makes their store look bad, so be it. You did this to yourself when you thought it was okay to speak your mind to someone who had nothing to do with it. Grow up

Never again. Terrible customer service managers try to argue with you after trying to fix an order and tell you it's not that serious because the item is going to a child. I've never had a manager say it was I who was disrespecting his employee as soon as I walked in to pick up my order, trying to pick a fight with me. Completely unprofessional, the order was paid for and they offered no help when THEIR ONLINE SITE was malfunctioning and not allowing me to change anything. When I called corporate they stated the company itself didn't even have the id policy this store has. Their excuse was they've been ripped off too many times. Guess ppl come in with fake ids and steal from them. Don't recommend dealing with them for anything.

Exactly why I don't go to gamestop.. went in to buy a PS5... A pS5!!! Was treated so rudely by some emo chick and an Asian dude who was unhelpful.. rude.. snappy.. and overall just rushed me out when I was with my little man and my wife.they suck and both look miserable with they're lives. Ew and ew x2

The manager Etzel is terrible. Came to return a malfunctioning controller that I paid for the extended warranty on. The girl at the front said they had them in stock and needed the code to make the exchange. The manager rolled her eyes and said they don't have them in stock. The girl then turned her computer and showed the manager they were in stock. Etzel huffed and said again very sternly that they do not have them. She said they couldn't order another to the store but I could drive an hour away to Sacramento. Needless to say I went into the Fairfield store where they had one in stock. The guy looked up the Vacaville store and said they had 5 in stock. Shocking. The Vacaville store is terrible and as long as that lying angry hate-filled manager is still there, I will not be giving them any of my business and I suggest you save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
