I was told I needed a new engine for my 2005 truck. The team here looked at it and was willing to rebuild it. Because of the age of my truck, there were a couple of issues that delayed the completion. The team kept me informed, and now my truck runs very well. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

So we had just had our 2017 F150 worked on and given a clean bill of health when on the freeway with our 26ft trailer in tow a sucking, airy, cyclic sound in the right corner of the engine compartment appeared during acceleration. We really didn’t want to cancel the trip so I googled mechanics near me and family auto care came up among others. I called them explained our problem and the mechanic, Sean, took a look at it. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes and we were back on the road in about 15 minutes! Truly an expert in his field! Thank you for saving our trip, Sean and Family Auto care!

Excellent service! Sean was extremely kind and informative. I unfortunately put myself in a position to where I need a breathalyzer in my car. This has been detrimental towards my self-esteem, especially when I need calibrations done. I have been to a couple of shops that were rude about servicing my required calibration service. Family Auto Care is a true judgment free zone and I can't recommend this shop enough. Thank you for bringing upside towards the day I dread the most.

Sean is the man. He fixed the overheating issues I was having with my 1967 mustang and also figured out the electrical issues with the lights. Got my baby back on the road again. He will be the only mechanic touching my mustang from now on. Thank you Sean.

Based on a friend's recommendation I decided to give them a try on helping me with a parasitic draw on my 2017 Honda CRV-EXL. I explained what I knew thus far and they confirmed my statements, even stating that issues I stated with my fuses were incorrect and everything was working fine. I provided the a Service Note from Honda and Sean was honest in sharing that it's been awhile since he did a software update on a Honda, but was willing to do it if I waited for his go-to person to return the next week. The update was installed and the total cost was ~$300. A huge relief since another mechanic stated they would need to remove my dash and test each electronic module to find the defect.

Subaru went in for brakes and replacement window motor. Service was efficient and friendly. They even offered me a ride home while they repaired my vehicle. I'm sure we'll be back!

We have been bringing our vehicles to Family Auto Care for years. Everyone there is so helpful and nice and Sean always starts the repairs with the least expensive route. We appreciate that they make us feel like they truly care. Ramses is wonderful! I got my oil changed there last week and got to see their new place!

I am guilty of not writing a review for any service before. I am caregiver for my wife and it consumes most of my time. I have been a customer for over 5 years. I have lived in Vacaville since 1979. Family auto care is by far the best auto care facility in the area. Sean and his wife are so friendly, they seem part of your family. Sean and his teams workmanship is beyond compare and they complete their work in a very timely manner. I am so glad they moved to the new location with more parking. I apologize for taking so long to write a review. I just wished you guys were around many years earlier.Services: Electrical repair
