I like the clothes a lot, especially when I find items from their regular stores. However, sometimes the staff on duty is way less than helpful, like today.

Very good quality clothing for the more mature woman. The staff, especially Cali, is super helpful with questions and has an eye for your fashion. They have good sales, but are rather pricey.

Wow!!! I'm a Chico's girl at heart and my goodness, this is one of the worst places I've been. I miss the boutique stores. I loved the one in Emeryville. But they closed it. Then I found Walnut Creek. But this one was closed too, as was the store in San Francisco, the first one I went to. It was my birthday and my husband bought me an outfit. I was in love (with him, the outfit - which I still have and wear - and Chico's. So, I was here and saw them and went in at the beginning of this year. I wanted to order my uniform for the year. I got cardigans and matching tops. But, I ordered two that weren't in the store. My first visit to this outlet location was magical. I had a lot of help and they actually used my membership number, which the woman at the Gilroy outlet said I couldn't use. Now, I wanted to return two of the sets. I wasn't wearing them and I planned on returning them on my next trip to Oregon for the Shakespeare Fest. But that trip never took place. I was planning on returning these and I drove to the Vacaville Outlets on Nov 9th. That's where everything went wrong... 1) The manager, who was so helpful during my first visit, was clearly very tired and needs to take a nap. She was tired, irritable, and of no help. She spent her time yelling, "it's more than 60 days!" over and over and over again. 2) I apparently missed my window to return the items for full cost for a refund. I get that, however, I had to show lots of extras to them - my receipts, my tags, the credit card of purchase, the items that I wish to return, a blood sample? I had these because as an African American, I have a hard time returning well kept items that I have previously bought. Unfortunately, this is my jam, so I was more than prepared. Although I was prepared, I was still insulted! 3) They offered an amount for the return that was equally insulting. All the manager kept saying with her red rimmed eyes was, "It's more than 60 days! 60 days! 60 days!" She was right about that. I thought that I'd drive back through on my way to and from Ashland, but I got sick so I couldn't drive that far and do my full-time job. I get that. But, I didn't see why I couldn't get the full store credit. 4) I was offered a total of $64 for all four items! Totally unacceptable. But the tired one kept yelling, "over 60 days, over 60 days!" Boy! That child needs to rest, for real. The truth is that I would have turned around and spent that money. Remember, I said that I was a Chico's girl! The thing I loved about the Emeryville store is that they knew me and knew my taste. I could come in, choose a couple of items and the other employees would bring other things for me to try (some of which I bought). One actually held clothes aside for me in case I came in. In Emeryville, I knew the people who worked their by name and again, they'd point out the areas that had the types of clothing that I liked, and they were right. But this place is awful. All I wanted was a credit for what I bought so that I could buy something else. I don't know if the people staffing their outlet locations are rejects who'd never make it in their boutique stores or not, but they are as shady and shady can be! And I will never set foot in there again! But after all of that, I hope that the manager gets her rest. Because I know for a fact that she can behave more appropriate than she did. I was there when she wasn't tired and was an absolute delight! I hope that she finds that person within her and lets her out to work again. I'm sure, once she has that nap, she will.
