Really magical place. The Manager is super friendly and will go out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

There was a slight mix-up on the reserved room, but when I mentioned I was given a mountainview room, but had reserved a riverview room, Eric fixed the problem and got me the right room immediately. He was a pleasure to deal with and the sole reason I will be returning. The room and location were nice and clean as well.
Nearby activities: Boats, kayaks and floats for the lake
Walkability: Nice grassy are
Food & drinks: Snacks and soft drinks very reasonably priced
Noteworthy details: Amazing Staff

Thank you Charlie and Jose for your rxcellent customer service! We were looking for a place to hang out and cool off and your lodge was perfect! My family including our Corgi, Rookie had fun swimming all day.
My son left his Beyonce concert shirt and you kindly looked for it and returned it to us.
Thank you for also showing me the running trail behind the lodge! I completed the SF Half marathon in 2 hrs and 41 min.
We hope to visit again soon!

Rooms are nothing special just rooms. The rooms on the backside facing the lake are better but more expensive. Day use for swimming or kayaking is $35 per person..way to expensive for a family.
Rooms: Nothing special..
Noteworthy details: Electric boat rental..nice docks. Swimming pool. No restraunt..good fishing off the docks..small store across the street. Very noisy due to traffic backups & road construction going on right now.

Jose was the first to greet us when we arrived for our day pass adventure on the lake with a 2.5 year old & paddle board. He was super friendly and immediately offered to help us blow up the board and asked if there was anything else he could help with. We ended up hanging out at the little beach/cove after paddling a while, where we met a wonderful family. The grandparents were in from Mexico and playing with the kids and us in the water. Turns out, they were Jose’s family!!! No wonder - they were all awesome! Thank you, Jose and fam, for being a positive part of our adventure. We hope to see y’all again sometime in the future! ?

I would usually gate keep a gem like this, but you've made it this far so I'll let you in on the secret. DON'T BELIEVE THE ONE STAR REVIEWS! We almost didn't come because of Yelp, but glad we didn't let the negative reviews sway us.
Charlie and Jose are THE BEST. Happy to help and always with a smile. Not sure what the other reviews are complaining about. (It was amazing enough for me to come back and leave a review.)
The waterfront room we got was fine - clean sheets and doable . It's a lodge in nature, not the Four Seasons people. There will be bugs! We did discover the suite at the end of our stay and OMG. We are booking it next time (because we're making this place one of our regular staycation spots)!
But the property is what we loved most. Yes, there are boats, paddle boards & kayaks you can rent. But there's also fishing off the dock, a water trampoline, private "beach" w/ sand & swimming/floating access, huge grass lawn overlooking the water where you can lay out (if you're not a sand person) & picnic, and bbqing on the deck with lots of tables to dine at. We have 3 kids (8, 6 and 10 mos) and came up with family, also with a bunch of kids. Everyone had a good time!

The Lodge at Blue Lakes was an amazing stay. The staff (Charlie, Ryan, and Jose) were incredibly helpful and friendly. The Lodge is right off the road however, the lake was extremely clear, clean, peaceful, and calm. This was an excellent stay where you can stand up board, rent a boat, and play in the sand. We did it all!
There was a point when an amenity went down however, Charlie was more than happy to find a way to make it right without skipping a beat. This level of customer service made our stay even better. Totally recommend this lodge especially, if you are looking for a weekend trip or to break up a long drive… and we will be coming back very soon!

We rented the party boat for my granchildren, adult children and nana. All had a great time, and 3 hours weren't enough. It IS pricey, but well worth the memories!!

We love this place! The view is beautiful. We reserved a room and forgot to get lakeside, when we called we found out we booked mountain side and Charlie was able to get a lakeside room for us! We will definitely be back!

The Lodge at Blue Lakes was amazing from the beach to the boats, and the excellent customer service from Jose. Prettiest lake in CA!

Nice clean place. The staff are helpful and welcoming. The lake is crystal clean and we had a good time swimming in the lake.
Add (2024) We are back! The place is better than before. They did some upgrade here and there and we noticed it. The flowers and the lawns are carefully manicured. We just love the place. My dogs had a great time too!

The best time kayaking
Safety: Felt so safe here! The water was clear and boats have to go slow so no wake! It was perfect for kayaking and swimming

This was a sweet place. Until we got here and had to endure 3 hours of construction in the room next door. When I asked the front desk about why we were not informed about construction ahead of time, I was met with a who gives a hoot attitude. Nothing could be done about it. $250/night to listen to vibrating loud banging. Awesome Lodge at Blue Lake. This sucks.
