We found Ray while getting an alignment in the same center. The bus looked great but the motor was due for a rebuild. After seeing how busy Ray was with lots of classic Porsches and VW's and talking to him, we had him rebuild the motor, get new wheels, and update the electrical. When we got the bus back, the drive was unrecognizable!!! I previously considered getting a "Slow Moving Bus" sticker but after the Ray treatment, you could pop the bus off the line. The motor is SO much stronger and beefier and freeways are no longer Verboten!! Ray is direct, to the point, and no-nonsense. He's been doing this a long time and the other clients we met there have been with him for over 20 years and many had priceless Porsches!! Price-wise, Ray only buys the best parts and he doesn't take shot cuts, he is too busy. For the work that he did for us, we found his price to be competitive when considering his skill and high quality work. We trust Ray implicitly and are so happy we found him. Just be patient as his shop is always packed and listen to his advice. Ray is one of the last great VW mechanics and he lives VW and Porsche!!

We had Ray work on our VW Cabriolet and he was able to finally fix a long standing issue other mechanics couldn't figure out. I'd recommend him working on your classic VWs.

I regret to express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently received for my vehicle. I acknowledge that my knowledge of automotive mechanics, particularly on an older vehicle, is limited. As a result, I sought professional assistance with the anticipation of gaining insights into the issues plaguing my car and the necessary steps to rectify them. Upon detailing my concerns and providing a general understanding of the problems I believed my car was facing, I explicitly sought nothing more than a comprehensive diagnosis and guidance on the required repairs. To my dismay, I was not only charged for the advice rendered but also subjected to discourteous behavior, accompanied by sly remarks regarding the financial aspect of the service. The issues I had initially identified and articulated with my limited knowledge were never addressed, leaving me perplexed and disheartened. Rather than offering a comprehensive analysis of my car's condition and the necessary solutions, I was met with a series of seemingly arbitrary part replacements. Each visit yielded a distinct and unrelated issue, with little regard for the previously attempted solutions. Consequently, my trust in the service provider waned, and I was left with an unresolved and persistently vexing automobile predicament. Regrettably, I find it difficult to recommend this service to others, as my overall experience left me feeling adrift and taken advantage of. In seeking assistance, I had hoped to find guidance and resolution, but the service I received seemed to perpetuate the challenges I initially sought to overcome. It is my sincere hope that this feedback may serve as an opportunity for improvement, and that future customers may have a more positive experience.

I'm am so disappointed. My son got screwed by Ray. He charged him & didn't even do any work to my 73' VW bug. I do NOT recommend anyone going to this place. He will charge you an arm & a leg & will not work on your vehicle. We found a reliable Machanic & they showed us that Ray didn't do any thing he charged us for. I wish I could report him & take my money back!!!! I'm so mad.

Ray the owner is by for the most honest and straight forward VW and Porsche mechanic in the Inland Empire. If you have a question he will always give you an answer.

I hate to leave such a bad review because this is someone's livelihood, but honestly, this was such a terrible experience that I never want to go to a mechanic again. In short, he was unresponsive, slowww, and made a lot of big mistakes. He was tasked with fixing an oil leak. He then proceeded to seize my engine due to setting the timing incorrectly, and then stopped working on my car. All in all, it took over 4 months to get it back. Just before pickup, when he had to reset the timing, he switched the balance shaft sprockets and in that sense, messed up the timing again, and blamed it on my car! When I came and got it, he blamed the horrible noise it created on the the torque tube or transmission and with that said, he hadn't really investigated. I couldn't handle that awful noise, so I did some digging. After doing some research online and then opening up the car to see, I found the issue ... and reset it all myself. The screw up nearly tore apart the balance shaft tensioner and would have messed up the front of my car. Thankfully I can fix it on my own. If you aren't car savvy, stay away! You will end up with a dead duck and not know why. If you are car savvy, you are going to have to redo this man's work. I paid around 2300 dollars cash. I have tried to call to settle this, but this guy doesn't pick up. Learn from my mistakes. Go to someone else.

Tried a couple VW mechanics for my '73 bay window bus before finding Ray. Most of the time, I'd discover guys treated their business like their own personal garage. Communication and haste were never strong points. With Ray, I've discovered him to be professional and timely, yet he's always willing to have a conversation about your car and explain to you your options. He's certainly not cheap, but he's honest, fair and upfront, which is to me half the battle of finding a good mechanic. Also his expertise comes from working for Porshe, so he does things with excellence and quality, rather than the homemade fixes you find with some old VW mechanics. Ray is my VW guy from now on!
